Tim Foust is the bass of Home Free. He looks different than he did in Man of Constant Sorrow. His hair is shorter with gray in this video. Tim has a five octave range so he can sing tenor baritone and bass. You might want to see his solo video where he sings all parts of Will You Still Love Me/Stay.
That was the Bass Gang, they're all bass singers from Europe, Africa, and 2 different US states. All done remotely,. none of them have ever met each other. Fabulous work made even better with the addition of bass #5, Tim Foust. the "ooga-chaka" was part of the song, they're singing the version used in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Tim is wearing the red leather jacket as close to Star Lord's as he could find.
Welcome to The Bass Gang, maybe the most underrated top level a cappella group around. 🙂
I just LOVE them.
They're based at the four corners of the world, and NEVER MET in person. Which makes what they do even more astounding. 🙂
And they have sense of humour 😁.
I'd suggest you to check some of their stuff from the beginning. Search for "May the bass be with you vol. 1"... 😉
I personally discovered them with "The emperor's new clothes"... which is already incredible, with Marwan Ayman (the youngest in the group, from Egypt) hitting an amazing B0 at 18 yo or even less. Or "Mad World", "Iris", "Centuries", "The yellow flicker beat"... Or their Halloween release of last year, "Hide and seek". 🙂
They deserve WAAAAY more recognition and appreciation than they currently have! 🙂
About the other a cappella groups... Voiceplay just released their new video, "Valhalla calling" (which is a sequel to another video from about one year ago, "My mother told me"). EPIC is an understatement 😁.

You should check out Peter Barbers reaction to this. He is a member of The Bass Gang, he's primarily a professional opera bass. He goes into to some depth about this. His was a blind reaction to the video, it's very good. Bobby Bass was the person who hit the note you were wondering about.
How great was that! Love having Tim sing with the Bass Gang. Tim is the growl master but he can also sing high. I have always liked this song done first by the late B.J. Thomas in 1968. It was later done by Jonathan King in 1971 & Blue Swede in 1974 who both added the "ooga chaka" part.
The entire group sings bass, thus, The Bass Gang.

Great reaction!! Honestly pretty much anything you decide to do next with these guys will be great. If you want LOTS OF BASS check out Mad World. If you like Billie Eilish, these guys did four covers of her songs and they’re all fantastic (those were the earliest songs they did, so their resources were really limited, but still amazing). If you like Imagine Dragons, they did a cover of Bones… Yellow Flicker Beat is one of my faves but everything is really good! Also, all these guys have solo channels-the guy you asked about, Bobby Bass, does more on TikTok, but he has some good stuff here on UA-cam-anyway, they each have some fantastic music out on their own channels as well. The members are Bobby Bass, Tomi P (slender-falling down drunk at one point), Peter Barber (spanked himself with a rose), and Marwan Ayman (juice box). Have some fun!!
