Tim has sung with legends but this time it's the Bass Gang singing with a legend. What a mixture of great voices!
It is an absolutely interesting time we live in for music... we see people of all kinds of different pedigrees collaborating. Mad props to Tim for doing this and seeing talent, the project, and not subscriber counts. Bass Gang is awesome and the UA-cam algorithm hasn't been kind to them... maybe this will be the push into the algorithm they needed.

Also, a fun fact from the range nerd department: That high chest note Tim hits toward the end is a D5, the highest chest note he's ever hit in any recording to my knowledge.
Then he goes up to an F5 in head voice 😳
I think Tim Foust must be the most in-demand bass in the business! With his 5+ octave range and the warmth & resonance he has, he's a level above all the others. How great was that! Love having Tim sing with the Bass Gang. Tim is the growl master but he can also sing high. I have always liked this song done first by the late B.J. Thomas in 1968. It was later done by Jonathan King in 1971 & Blue Swede in 1974 who both added the "ooga chaka" part.
Thank you, I was trying to return to my youth and remember who did it originally.
It was also covered by David Hasselhoff. There’s a spot in his official video where he looks a lot like Star Lord, who had this song on the mixtape his mom gave him.

When was the last time you heard Tim blow through his entire range in a single song? I LOVE the way he was totally showcased in this, even with all the silliness going on-and there are so many really funny moments. (I actually think that was a Tim growl layered in, even tho he was also singing lead). Some really sweet background singing as well!

This is the first time I've heard the Bass Gang and I love them Then you add Tim Foust and his ground rumbling then the crazy high notes. I'm blown away again.

I'm pretty sure that growl you kept backing up to was actually a unison note of Tim and Tommy. This is why I think it was a little more brief than the other couple growls because achieving that unison when the two people aren't actually in the same room is nearly impossible.

I had some family stuff going on and have missed your re actions for a bit and they were much missed. This is a creative joining of talent and joy. So Happy! I have noticed you have been enjoying David Phelps recently. Please check out Song of Sinners on Davids UA-cam channel. It's an original from his Game Changer CD. I also saw you noticed his daughter, he actually has two equally talented, but I highly recommend He's Still My Child by Maggie Beth and written by David. It was done early on and considering her age and the message it's very poignant. The Phelps family have musical DNA running through them. David, his sister, and all 3 of his children are musically gifted. Many of the videos are done from his Barn and that's where he hols concerts frequently. There is always something special about music created there. I hope you enjoy the videos. I also am sending you my prayers as you go through February. 🙏

Unpopular opinion: I hated the arrangement of this cover. That being said, they all still sound amazing and I love that you got Tim’s whole range in this song. (I love all these guys, just not this arrangement so don’t come for me lol)
