Loved the video! You mentioned in a comment travelling within korea alot, but the dorms have all these curfew and access time rules. How'd you get past those?
Thank you! 🥰 I travelled a lot during my exchange within South Korea but also to other countries. It was no problem since I had done my school schedule so that I had to be on lectures only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Curfews were a bit tricky when you went to the bar/club because you had to decide if you were going to go back to the dorm to sleep ”early” or stay up ”all night”. Curfews / acces time rules mean that you can’t enter the dorm between 1am and 5am. I partied a few times until 5am but I preferred to go back at 1am since partying was not my biggest interest and I preferred exploring the city and travelling. Theres other options to waste time as well during the night than partying if were late from 1am like playing at a game cafe etc. Curfews did not affect travelling in my opinion in any way since I never returned from a trip between 1am and 5am. Hope this helps!
Loved your video! I had a question though: did you need to take your own bedsheets and pillow with you, or will these be provided by the dorm? I really want to go to PNU next year, but don't really know what to tale with me😅
Thank you! Students have to buy pillows and blankets + sheets themselves! Not provided by PNU. They are expensive in korea 😅 I brought my old sheets from back home to avoid buying them - I left them in Korea when I returned back home. Hope you get to experience PNU and Busan 🤩.
Hello. I heard that PNU has 3 campuses. The Busan, Miryang, and Yangsan. Which campus did you stay at? Im looking for a dorm that has a balcony. And whenever I look for a "PNU dorm tour", they have balcony in their dorm/room.
Nice video :) I'm going to move in there in Spring semester. Is the gym facility free? Can the halal kitchen be used or is it just for the staff cooking the halal meal? Thank you
Hi, thank you! I enjoyed my time at Jayoo! Hope you’ll like it aswell. The gym has a fee, ~100,000won for the whole semester. The gym is closed on Saturdays. Halal kitchen is for student use only. But only for them who for religious or so reasons can’t eat at the cafeteria. I got the cafeteria food 3 times a day (it was included in the fee payed for dormitory). You can ask other stuff too if you have some questions about PNU or Jayoo, I can try to answer 😊
Hi! Good question! The answer is a bit long. Hope it is okay! :) It depends on what meal plan you take. I had the 3 times a day meal plan. It is the most expensive one costing 1.577.920 KRW for one full semester (4months). So that divided into four is what I would have payed in one month. I thought this was incredibly affordable since accommodation+3meals a day was less than 300€/month. (The food gets worse and worse throughout the semester for some reason though so be aware of that, I never really ate breakfast either so I should have skipped that one in retrospect.) Exchange students have to pay for the dorm in advance the whole amount + possible fees what our banks will charge us for international transfers. I payed about 2000KRW extra to be sure I got the right amount since I had no idea what the transfer costs would be between the banks. I can now tell you much less is needed and I over-estimated. But it was ok, since I got the amount I paid extra back from PNU when I got an Korean bank account. Hope this helps you and others wondering about the same thing!
Thank you for the video. I am going to move there for the spring semester. I just want to know how much you spend per month. You can also exchange by email if you want 😊.
Thank you! To live at the dorm for the whole semester (4months) cost me around 1200 (US dollars). Included to that price I got 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). So basically that can be your only cost for the semester if you don’t do anything else. 😌 I ate a lot outside the dorm cafeteria too and travelled to other countries, lived in hotels instead of hostels, and did some shopping etc. So I would say that I used around $1000/month during my exchange. But I think you can use half of that easily!🤗 Depends on how much you travel and where etc. 🤗👍
The best room tour video! At Jayoo is there single rooms option?
Thank you 🤩 There are no single rooms to my knowledge
Thank you so much for sharing, I'll move there in one week :)
ui me too! Which room/floor?
did you?

Hi! This is at the Busan campus. All of the rooms at the girls dorm in Jayoo has balcony.

Wow PNU
hii! i wanted to know if all the classes are in english, or is it all in korean?
Hi! Most of PNU classes are in korean. But there are some in English as they have many exchange students.
@@sillisen thank youu!!

@@Mallika8 I am sorry but I don’t know. I assume it is the same for everyone. You can ask PNU Dormitory personal to get the information.
Hi! Is the gym free?
No, you have to make a deposit for the semester. The amount in 2019 was something like 90€ for 4 months.
Onko tuo tapa/kunnioitus juttu että istutaan tollee vai vältetään katsekontaktia ja merkki siitä että haluu olla yksin? 😱
