- The #Z9 is capable of recording in multiple file formats, codec, bit depth and tone mode. Capture high contrast scenes at ease with N-Log, a special tone-mode designed to retain as much details as possible so you can tweak and colour-grade in post more flexibly.
A compatible video editing software such as the #DavinciResolve is required to make full use of the N-Log footages. Check out the step-by-step guide on setting up Davinci Resolve for N-Log footages.

Thanks Team Nikon :) I suspect I'm not the only NIkon raw photographer tuning in, eager to get friendly with Nikon raw video. More content walking us through the full N-Log workflow (camera settings, monitoring tips, importing to DR, more grading samples) would be welcome -- either from Nikon directly, or a sponsored creator who could help us bridge the gap between photography and videography worflows.

Are you using Davinci Resolve in a Mac or Windows? I have a mac and I notice a shift in color after rendering when I use the second method but not with the first method. I have a Nikon Z6II and a Atomos Ninja V

Is there any reason to shoot 10 bit HLG rather than N-Log.... is N-Log a better choice?

It will depend on your workflow. N-Log provides the versatility to colour grade your footage in a more precise manner during post-production.
