You ALWAYS gotta be careful of the air bubbles between the eyes. That's the easiest place for them.
Question: how thick did the silicone need to be, and about how much did you use? Like, in ounces.

I don't remember how thick it was (the recommended thickness is on Smooth-On's website....I want to say 1/4 inch?). The list of what we used is in the video information above (click to expand).

+Cosplay4UsAll Thanks for awarding my question. :)
But, I have another question is it the Ben Nye - Bald Cap - BP-0? Because I know you can't use latex with body double. ('- ' )?

+generalgibby Yeah no latex, this is a good one to use www.norcostco.com/kryolan-glatzan-bald-cap.aspx

at was the total time start to finish for the latex and plaster (to removal)? the reason I ask is I am claustrophobic and normally cant breath through my nose due to allergies.

treffoil I would not recommend doing this then. This took probably close to 3 hours from the time the silicone went on to the time we pulled it off. I would say (as did our friend) that this is NOT for someone who is claustrophobic.
If all you need is the general size and shape of your head (not intricate details) you might be better off with the method we used here (see pictures on our Facebook page) goo.gl/1LOfno For more details on that project you can also watch this video we made when we did the dress/body form and use the same methods to do your head ua-cam.com/video/YNkp4zLUuRE/v-deo.html

Use alginate instead. its cheaper and the application time is much quicker.

Gourmet Gamer Alginate is quicker and cheaper (see our other video on Alginate life casting) but if he's claustrophobic and can't breathe thru his nose, even that won't be quick enough. It still takes time for it to cure, as well as applying the plaster bandages which also need time to cure.

I understand the claustrophobic part. I have done dozens of life casts of all shapes and sizes. Even people that say they are not claustrophobic can panic once their faces are covered. My point was there are other options that might not be as traumatizing. Plus, there are different grades of Alginate and bandages that give you more or less time to apply :)

thank you all for the advice. I meet a man here in Colorado who does this for movies. he helped me with a few different tricks. but the alginate was part of the answer. A sinus wash and a little sedative did the trick. what we go through for what we love.
