Visited several times, but last time was 1995. Took hundred of photos over the years. Looks like the gift shop and tea room have been greatly expanded, but the rest of the gardens seem to have the same lay-out. Beautiful place... to think it was built out of the remains of an old stone quarry is amazing. For Jennie Butchart it was a labour of love. Check out the history of this wonderland on Wikipedia.

I have not visited the gardens in decades and this is the first time seeing the christmas lighting theme for me. The creativity that went in to this with the music is a cut above other displays I have seen elsewhere. There are some things I miss about BC besdies the hot springs soaks.

This is near Victoria British Columbia where I lived for 12 years. It was common to go there every Christmas but you had to dress up vey warmly especially your feet.

Was a great idea to do this video and bring the gardens to us all. It's a little hard to watch because it's a little jittery and some of the close-ups are just a little too much. But lovely nonetheless. Live and learn

They must have an insane electrical bill! Is that still up to our times and environmental friendly or does that work with alternative energy?
