A composer completely new to me. I'm so impressed how he uses the orchestra, he gives the impression he's in total control through his composition technique. He creates wonderful tensions and the results are really amazing.
The truly remarkable thing about Nenov was that he was equally at home as a composer, concert pianist, architect, philosopher, and art historian among all other interests that he had. Similarly to Rachmaninov, his life was equally divided (and equally successful) between composing and extensive touring. As an architect, some very important and representative buildings in Bulgaria are designed by him. He also had the habit to perform at his piano recitals some of his compositions by memory, and it was only after he was "forced" by some of his closest friends that he finally sat down and notated his monumental Toccata for piano.
