You are just like me. I feel worse for a while after a crisis has passed. I think it’s a pretty normal response as we have to hold ourselves together while things are going to hell in a handbasket so when the pressure is off we have to acknowledge our feelings. Once I rationalised things like this I found it a lot easier to be kind to myself and let it pass otherwise there is a danger in worrying about being worried if you know what I mean. Very proud of you for having the courage to say it as it is.

It's lovely to see you back again, I'm sorry that you're feeling so crappy at the minute. Really pleased you're going to get back on track - just imagine how great you'll feel by next week. I'm one week in and 1.5lb down. It was a huge relief as I've just not been in the right head space in the last week. Like you say - one day at a time. This is a new week. We can all do it 💪

I think that when we are emotional eaters we can’t rely on willpower the only way to be successful is not to buy your trigger foods . Those soft pittas are dangerous in my house and that Richmond chicken I may be ok for a few days and then I’ll just devour everything in my path . I find the pressure is relieved when I know there is only stuff that I won’t binge on usually because it needs cooking first. I made some healthy cookies intending to have one at night when I fancied something sweet and literally sat down and ate all 10 . The problem is I buy these foods when I feel strong but then if I’m tired or something upsets me I just reach for this comfort food . It’s so difficult when your brain is wired this way but I actually feel relieved when I don’t have to struggle to resist certain foods !! Anyway basically I know where you’re coming from !! Xx
Totally agree, and I don’t usually keep things in the house that will trigger me to binge - unfortunately I go the other way when I’m in that mindset and go out and buy binge foods specially - not good!! Luckily i am fairly good as resisting that part usually but it does always lurk darkly in the background!
