    My setup is Martin Logan 15 speakers with a Denafrips Ares II DAC being fed by a Wiim Pro streamer. Just wow! The Rotel tribute sounds fantastic. Much better than my Arcam AVR10, and blows the pants off of the Fosi V3 and the new ZA3 amps. I’m ecstatic about this amp.
    I recently tried several pairings to try and find where the bottle necks to improved sound were in my system. For me it was my Amp and DAC and am so glad to have such a great improvement.

    Just got this cd player and partnered it with matching cd player and 25 year old rega El8 speakers. Sounds phenomenal with vinyl, cd and streaming via built in Bluetooth aptX. Plan to upgrade speakers to Wharfedale Linton's

    Thanks for the review! Just one question, 7:19 you mention that it is better not to pair it with the LS50 meta due to the low amplifier power rating and the low speaker sensitivity …then at 10:39 you mentioned that you liked it with the LS50 meta, which one is it? Thanks

    • @Jayiyagi
      @Jayiyagi 3 роки тому +5

      It is OK to pair it up with the KEF LS50 META and for $800 its great but if budget allows, I would recommend something with more power - that was the point.
      10:39 has more to do with how impressive it is for $800.

    I just bought the A11 Tribute for $650 on sale at Crutchfield. Since this amp is considered a steal at $800 I thought $650 was a no brainer. This will be in my bedroom with some very nice Energy RC10 bookshelf speakers and a sub. I’m very excited to see what this thing can do compared to my Yamaha A-S801 that I have in the family room powering my big towers.

  • @6643bear

    Hi , great informative video, the A11 mk2 now does inbuilt dac, but you have lost the pre output for your sub, also you only one set of speaker outputs, it does have some digital inputs. but it does have tone control pots in front panel . Great content on your findings , as now the amp is about £400 so at that price point what yiu get is pretty good, I like the functionality and the clean look of the snp and I must amit the silver looks stunning but black looks good, I have mine in black including the cd11, and t11 tuner. The remotes are functional but I feel they could been better quality although and considering they sqme remotes on the A14 mk2. They seem to pair up with its some speakers. Regards mark

    Recently got one of these but thinking of taking it back in case it’s faulty. Speakers hiss and I can hear signal noise even if no source is playing. Very frustrating

      google it. This amp is very power outlet dependent. Some reviewers have reported this.

    Is there an amp around that price (even at $2000) that sounds as detailed, never harsh, neutral and punchy, BUT with very wide sound stage?

    I ordered the A11 Tribute for 480 euros, I can try it out tomorrow on my Denton 80. So far I've used a very nice Cambridge AXA25. Now I want to try something new and am very curious how it sounds with the Dentons. I read it wouldn't be such a good combination. Who has experience? Thanks for the informative posts, have subscribed! Greetings from Germany!

    Just fixed my re-capped Arcam 8R (had to swapout the MOSFETS) - bi-amped with a 8P (also re-capped) - the A11 will be on sale soon - has some nice features but just does not sound nearly as good as the old kit.

    I have a 200 watts per channel Rotel class A/B Power Amplifier which has a "warm"sound. This complements the LS 50 Metas which can sound bright when paired with more neutral sounding amplifiers.

      I think audio equipment is pretty sensitive to electrical noise. Probably to avoid added electrical noise sources, they recommend plugging directly into the outlet.

    Not enough power for the LS50 meta?
    They have a sensivity of 85 dB and if you give them 32 watt they will output 100db 1 meter in front if the speakers. The decibel declines with 6 dB when you double the distance. If your position is 4 meters away you still get 88 dB at your ears and that is loud enough.
    When I listen to music the dB is about 70-80 dB and 88 dB is double that.

    • @fabrized
      @fabrized 3 роки тому

      Well, that spl at 4 meters is more like background music in my opinion. Plenty of volume in a nearfield setup instead.

    • @sandyshoremann7524
      @sandyshoremann7524 3 роки тому

      Speakers area very reactive and low impedance load in bass and lower mid region. So adequate is more about current drive at odd phase angles than average wattage capability. Yes the little rotel will play loud enough but it will not have adequate dynamics. It appears to be unstable also, look at the ouput inductors though they may be necessary due to a low global feedback application.. - Sandy the Old as Dirt Boston Audiophile
