I would rescore this slightly where if you haven’t got the tune you’re a dynamic down (e.g Someday my Prince will come and a dream is a wish your heart makes, both trumpets and Tuba need to be at metzo-Piano at this point as not to over power the Trombone with the tune at Metzo-Forte)
Nathan got the arrangement from a string quartet and adapted the arrangement for trombone ensamble... I saw his and wanted to play it with my pals so I adapted it for this quartet. I gave them the credit on the description of the video.
I personally play trumpet, and it's more awkward to see the 8va than just normal notation, especially when fingerings for the upper register are different, and even the highest note in the normal range of the trumpet (written D6, concert C6) only uses two ledger lines. If you want an optional 8va, write the line as parallel octaves, then write in the part that one octave is optional (or use divisi (div.). I pointed it out because there is absolutely no reason to notate it (3:16 for reference) with the 8va, since it is easier to read without it, and the second trumpet line even adds ledger lines.

my friend i am also a trumpet player, and has a person that does a lot of musical theatre pit gigs, i know from experience that any good musician regardless of instrument should be able to read notes and then play up or down the octave, and if not, then it is your responsibility to write those notes on your own personal music.
