Must be great to have another person in the garage with you who knows what their doing, Whenever I work on something in my garage, I could have 5 or 6 of my buddies there & the only thing they know is how to drink my beer!
haha well, beer drinking is a good skill to have. It definitely is great having someone that knows what they are doing with stuff and lets me focus on the camera work
Titled the video “heater blower replacement,” but you never actually showed him replacing the blower motor. Glad to see some clips from the office and the rear interior panels, lol
It's been awhile since I worked with them but I believe that diaphragm is called the vacuum advance. I heartily agree with you on the wiring harness...that is nice, neat looking job. Way to go!
It is called a vacuum advance. I was a full-on brain fart and couldn't talk right. I left it in because my wife was busting my balls and its all in good fun :) The wiring does look way cleaner. Now we just need to do a little cleaning and the engine bay will be solid
I know this is an old video but maybe next time you make one you might actually want to show how to remove the fan heater blower instead of playing with your friends and showing us a big hole in the dash
@@broncobabeadventures4316 It was really run making this one and great part was able to knock it all out in one day. I was laughing pretty hard as well when I was adding the "thats what she said" parts
@@PaperBeatsRock Theres nothing as good as laughing your ass off at your own joke. I was laughing so hard when editing last night, and I'm 90% sure no one will think its as funny as I did, haha!!
Nice! My 79 F150 Ranger has AC but since I live in Tennessee I must keep it…ha ha. I love the video bro! One question…have you ever had to mess with a fuse box? Mine is all rusty and junk. I need to fix it. I’ve thought about just pulling it off and replacing it with an aftermarket fuse block. Do you have any thoughts on that?
Jeremiah, my fues box in my green 78 broncobis the same and it needs to be replaced bad. Because the wiring in these trucks from factory is really poor I was just going to replace the whole deal. LMC has a direct replacement that is up to industry standards and then your not having to cut and weed out extra wires in the painless wiring harness that is really not painless. We are going to doing one very soon. The green broncobis being pulled back into the shop and we have a major upgrade that will be happening.
Hi PBR, Love this video! I'm in the process of doing the same thing but ran into a problem - hoping you can advise me. I have all the bolts removed from the A/C Evaporator / blower assembly under the hood and all the bolts and nuts removed from under the dash too. The housing in the engine compartment and under the dash won't budge. Did they glue it on at the factory? My 78 Bronco is completely stock. It's driving me crazy. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, -Pieter
If it has never been swapped there is a good chance your gasket and other junk around it has turned to a hard compound and will be hard to break free. Keep working it and make sure there is nothing that you may of missed.
@@PaperBeatsRock you were so right! I sprayed it with Goo Gone and let it sit for hours and slowly went around the perimeter with door panel tools and sure enough it popped free. Owe you a couple of beers!
Great video. I have a 78 that I believe needs the same thing done. Did it start to sound like a bearing going out kind of a whining metal sound? With a loss of air flow
Awesome video. I need to replace my noisy fan motor. Mines an ac bronco as well. Nice Kate brown sticker.
The mechanic is a great guy!
I have been nothing but impressed with him. Very solid guy.
