I'm trying to convince myself that donating isn't giving up on a dream, but helping someone else realize THEIR dream. Sometimes it works, other times not so much. Wish I had a dad and Bobby!!!
He is CUTE TOO!!! 😊I’m 60 and have been married 40 years, but there must be a nice lady out there somewhere, unless he would rather just have his dog!! Lol that’s what my Handsome Uncle says! He is done with Women, he will just have his hunting dogs!! 😂
Debi, I think all creators are hoarders in a sense and it’s a good thing! You are blessed with amazing creativity and these things are always exercising your creative muscle. I’m so grateful to watch your videos on UA-cam! You are an inspiration!
Debi, I absolutely love the eclectic boho maximalist vibe of your home and store. I love all of the bright and happy colors. I have a bit of a hoarding problem myself. After all, if it's good junk, is it really junk? I, unfortunately, don't have a store. I'm out in the country and don't have anyone to really help me with a yard sale, so that makes it a little bit difficult to pair things down. I'm working on it a little bit at a time. My work schedule makes it a little difficult as well. You are lucky to have some wonderful friends and family to help you out. Your dad is most definitely a national treasure, and I think every girl should have a dad like that!
Debi - Don’t be surprised if your dad is not single for very much longer ! You have showcased his sweetness & handiness, along with the adorable Levi, so much that I’m surprised the California ladies aren’t showing up on his doorstep ! A good man & a lovable Lab - that’s a pretty irresistible combination ! 🥰 P.S. Bobby deserves a little love, too ! Has no one snatched him up yet ?!?! I’m telling you, Debi, you are blessed to have those two good guys in your life - and Bobby cooks, too ! I have never had a friend, boyfriend, or husband who could (or would) do anything around the house ! Blessings as always to all of you from sunny Central Florida ! 🥰
When you feel bad about yourself please remember that you inspire every time you post and long time after this woman in Eastern Europe, Romania. I am mesmerised by your créations and you inspired me to use the colors that I LIKE, not that everybody says one should use, to paint and decorate my house. So... lots of bright blue it is. You have a little wonderland there. I do understand that you feel it is too much clutter but this is how creative people are. We need our stuff and our mess. I do de clutter regularly but I do find myself feeling guilty sometimes. I love your dad and sister. Your dad reminds me of my dad who passed... dads like this are a national treasure indeed. So, Debi, when you feel bad, remember there is a lady journalist in Romania right on the border with Ukraine that is, who comes home from work after writing about the most terrible things imaginable in a war and relaxes watching videos that you create and creates as well. I love you Debi!
It’s a adrenaline rush shopping for these things. Having a goal for an item is important. I’ve learned to walk away because I’ve got stuff already. It’s something the creative mind struggles with. Everyone lives Dad that’s a bonus
My husband puts a time limit on my fixer uppers. If I haven’t made my purchase in to something by the deadline, out it goes. He actually takes it out of the house. Keeps me in check, otherwise I fear my home would look like a salvage yard.
Everything you describe about your hoard, your creative dreams and your de-stressing at thrift stores is me ! Except I work two unrelated jobs and have PTSD as well as ADHD and my Executive Dysfunction really makes it interesting because I get quite anxious doing housework and decluttering. I wonder how many of us creatives have these conditions. (some or all) I love you for being so upfront about your life and admire ALL you do get done ! Your work is an inspiration !
What is that pretty blue flower. Hopefully you can get all your stuff into a storage pod quickly if the storm hits your area. Get everything up incase of flooding. The mermaid is terrific.
Debi As a fellow creator I have clutter and disorganization all around me. I still make something to help me relax. You will be fine. I know you will have the store ready. Stay strong!
I’m facing the same dilemma. I would save old magazine clippings and have boxes full of inspiration. This was pre computer. Now the task of scanning or tossing. I really want to trim my “stuff “ as I am thinking tiny home. Probably similar in size of Debbie’s apartment.
THAT'S THE BAD THING ABOUT ALL THE CLUTTER, STACKED UP TOO MANY UNDONE PROJECTS EVERYWHERE..... IT ADDS A TON OF STRESS AND ANXIETY... AT LEAST FOR ME.... I FEEL IM IN A DEEP DEEP HOLE AND I CANT GET OUT!!

Orange County has about 3 million people so there are many such groups and each has their own catchment ( not sure if that’s the word; like a school district) I’m about an hour north of her in Laguna and I belong to one. The groups are on Facebook.
Dad, "WHAT!" with a big smile on his face LOL, I love your dad, and Bobby is pretty special too❤ You are extra blessed. I wish I had even a half-a Bobby! Everything looks so nice, I wished I lived near you but i am in Wisconsin, If I did, I would be over all the time❤

I have lots of frames and pictures my son n law says no more until you hang these up. I broke my leg and haven’t been able to do much. I also had moved into a new house. It’s making me crazy. I want to do stuff but I can’t right now but soon I will. Thanks sweet lady
Your a person after my own heart! I enjoy the same things as your house and wish I had a store for the stuff I need to sell. Oh its so much fun to go to the thrift stores and come home happy and not cost much. I have a motorcycle and telephone booth in my living room and many other loves that I bring home. Enjoy watching what you make and hope to get down to your store sometime.
Your Dad needs to be the next Golden Bachelor. He is a woman’s dream come true. Such a wonderful Dad and Grandpa 💕Can’t wait to go visit your shop. Love your channel.
Debi I too am going through something with my neck been on medical leave with my job since feb (mine is causing double vision and dizziness! -so wish it was just my neck hurting -when I look down) my pastime is going to every flea market I can find on the weekend for inspiration I fill my cart with things that inspire me, Glass , mid century and boho treasures , birds!> by the time I get to cash registar I have put it all back. next time I go if it is still on the shelf I grab it. (my parents were hoarders!) now I have a bunch of their stuff too.... I am weeding through it slowly... God bless you and your family! Hope your neck gets to feeling better soon! Your ability to turn discarded items into art is amazing. Especially your freestyle use of transfers and molds and paint. Re: your bright colours. You are ahead of the trend. With the Barbie movie success, that pallette will fly off the shelf! I’m sure you know that If you want to tone them down you can always add a little of the opposite colour on the colour wheel. But above all, you do you. It’s what makes you unique. We all need more colour and creativity in our lives. It’s why many of us watch your channel. Long live pink 🌸
Just a thought but what if you took all the stuff that is broken or not wanted, etc and put it in one area of your shop so peeps can rummage through it and buy it as is? There might be others who want the broken and discarded things you are trying to get rid of. The might need something for their project. This way you don't have to stop thrifting and buying and just continue to add to that section of the store. You wouldn't have to feel guilty then and you might make some money to support your habit! Just a thought I had.
Debi, that new rug is gorgeous! I love the mermaid picture too. I love all the colors. It's great that you have a deadline for your party, that's what I do when I have a project...invite people over when I'm done. Just remember to relax when your guests come over. No one is perfect and we love you the way that you are. I love how your brain works & how creative it is. You are such a kind soul. 💟💟💟
That Last Rug was so Gorgeous! All the color vibes. One of the things that my adult daughter tells me, when I don't want to pitch out to the trash an item that I see good potential in the future is " Mom, God got this into your life, if you rid yourself of it, HE can get other stuff into your LIFE, when HE needs to!" Good advice. Let it go! Looking forward to your new paint Launch!
Just a thought: Would renting one of those PODS be helpful for you, help alleviate some of your stress? If you find, despite your best efforts, you are running out of time and won’t be able to deal with the large amount of stuff in time for your September 30th Party, you could consider renting one of those PODS, fill it with the stuff, and have it taken to the PODS Facility closest to your location. Then, after the Party, you can resume making decisions about what to keep for decor, what to work on and sell, and what to give away and toss. The pressure of a deadline will be off your shoulders. Color-coding might be helpful, too. For example: Yellow tag = deal with after the Party, put in POD Pink tag = decor item for the Party-be sure to jot down necessary info (i.e. paint wider vertical stripe) Blue tag = this item needs to be worked on for purchase - be sure to jot down what work needs to be done and note price Green tag = give away - be sure to jot down where the item is going and when it is going Orange tag = toss Doing this will help you to know exactly how much stuff you will be putting in temporary storage, if you choose to go that route. Doing this will help you, too, to not have to spend so much of your mental energy on remembering what you want to do with the various items - the color tag tells you right away! Another idea: If you have the time, or if someone on your team has the time, I highly recommend making a list of the projects you want to have completed for the Party. Type it up. Print it out. Refer to it. Add to it, as needed. As projects are completed, you cross them off your list - that feels really good!!! I encourage you to keep the dollhouse and complete your dream for it. I love color, too! Your new rug is definitely “stinkin’ cute!”!!!
Love EVERYTHING you do! Creativity comes out of your pores! Wish I could come to the opening so bad, I’m in San Clemente, but I’ll be out of town 😢, but if you need a volunteer to help get ready, just saying…👍🏼💕
Debi, you are a bright lite! Stop being so hard on yourself, just keep going, you are changing😍 Every time you let go of something, to bring yourself into balance, ( which is what you are trying to do), say to yourself, “ good job Debi, you are really getting this” . And if you do go to shop, just make sure you are clear you need it or can use it NOW. Then, be ok with your decision, don’t judge. Blessings Debi, I love your SPARK!😘🙏🏻💖
Your home is amazing! I love all of the color and how you coordinated it. I have some thrifted framed art I want to redo, to paint over it etc. My art room is so full of stuff & supplies I can barely do art in there, I also need to do some editing myself. Your not alone Debi!
sending you good vibes because of Hilary. Don’t despair over the weather set back, use the forced time for other pre organization chore lists, editing etc. I’m watching you over here in New Orleans my dear friends.
One of the reasona I enjoy and love watching your chanel is because you actually create things out of what you find for the most part anyway, Its the creative part of us artist that keeps our creative minds going and its very difficult for you to over come that earge of collecting that your so use to its in your DNA now but dont worry you know what to do and your getting it done. 👏
Your store is looking awesome! You are so fortunate to have those handy fellas helping out. I dearly hope this hurricane doesn't create a mess for you. We've taken down everything on our patio that might blow away. 🙏💖🙏
💪🏼🥇🏆Your dad seems to be good at everything!… you are so creative!! What a beautiful gift from God that you have!!🙏🏼🕊️👏🏽🙌🏽🎶💖💛And awesome job de cluttering!!👏🏻👏🏻
We have a barn full of projects and we thrift every week. We have been working on the stuff in the barn while simultaneously thrifting and working on stuff. I have to have a blend of finishing old while still working on the new pretty. So far we’re making a dent in the barn hoard.
I just adore youuu! And also watching your dad makes my heart happy, I lost my dad 18 months ago & watching you dad on your vids is just great! Also your creativity is just amazing..
Debi, I have had a really bad two years. So depressing! I haven't picked up a paint brush in about a year. All my paint is like, dried up. Watching this and seeing all the beautiful work you have done is giving me inspiration. Focus. I just need to focus. But I have to start from below ground up. Thank you for showing your beautiful work.
Thank you Debbie for taking the time to share some of your life momments. I enjoy very much your videos and honesty. God bless you! can´t wait for your next video!!
Love your family, and friends . You surround yourself in goodness, they are helping you deal with the hoarding. I didn't know hoarding was caused by grief, I hope soon your Dad says you are a collector!
Nope! Got to let things go. :) I found that a one in, one out policy works. If you buy three new things, three other things must leave the house forever. It also helps to think that the things you let go of might be perfect for someone in need or just starting out with a new house or dorm. :)
Being disciplined is the key! Vow to only shop in your own stuff for a week or better a month. It's very rewarding, creative and GUILT FREE. You're so blessed to live by the beach. I'd go there work work out not on a machine.
Your Dad is so great, we could all do with someone as helpful in our lives… You said you’re not a hoarder, I can identify with that, from the outside looking in, I probably look like one, my problem is I see the potential in everything and I want to give it all a makeover, add to that I have a serious dose of money anxiety and struggle to throw things away unless I’ve had a good shot at trying to sell it first.
I've been on a decluttering journey myself. I think you hit a certain age and realize you have accumulated too much stuff and now want a more peaceful and organized environment but not so structured. I love how you take serious art and turn it in to something fun, interesting and more noticeable!
I LOVE your new rug & art. I had to keep stopping the video so I could drink in your rooms. Debi, your taste is EXQUISITE! This was an AWESOME video!! Thank you!
I think it's a compliment to say something looks like it belongs in a little girls room. That probably means it's super cute and they love it without caring what anyone else thinks about it.
Good afternoon Debi! Your new rug is beautiful and fits your personality style better than the black and white one! Your Daddy is such a hard worker, sweet and cute, too! 😊 My Daddy was a builder, I miss him. 💕
Hi Debi - You are so resourceful. Your store and home is also beautiful and colorful. Just keep on editing and you will get there where you want to be.
I can so relate to you-- needing to let go...wish I had a shop to sell my crocheted things & stuff & had someone to help me.... bt You are helping inspire me- motivate me!
Debi, I love your artwork and would move in your apartment in a heartbeat! I think it's perfect ❤❤❤ It's so happy 😊 Your Dad is precious and I love the way your family always spends Sundays together. Please be safe with the storm coming that way. ❤🙏❤🙏❤
You are so talented Debbie, you see potential and create in a totally different way to me, and I think you are awesome!! And you are really making progress!! ❤️❤️
Hi ya Deb . Your Not alone, I’m a terrible hoarder 😩I collect things to do , then months down the track just collecting more and Not doing anything with it . I get such a Buzz when I buy stuff, but that wears off pretty quickly once I’ve put it away . Well Lovely just ❤ your colourful home . Colour makes me Happy 😊 Don’t worry you’ll get it done especially with your helpers like your Gorgeous dad ❤him Oh before I go I just Adore the mermaid Take care honey you’ll get there and have a Great time at the end of it X
I SOOO relate to your “hoarding” dilemma. I think it’s common for “creatives.” My attention is often hijacked when I spot antique, vintage, & well-loved artwork, frames, furniture, pottery, & other decorative items, because I see so many potential ways to give them new lives by refinishing, repurposing, & upcycling. Our creative stashes may be daunting to others, but it’s difficult to part with items that have potential … there just aren’t enough hours in the day. 😢 Ooo! I had an idea when you mentioned that you need to do something with all the stuff in the future classroom workspace - perhaps students could use the items you are reluctant to part with as blanks/substrate on which to learn techniques you are teaching in classes. It may be easier to relinquish when you know they’ll be reloved & won’t be going into a landfill. Just a thought 💭
An art altering class with transfers when you open your shop? I would love that! You are so creative. Creative people aren’t always tidy. But that’s ok. It just means you see potential in what others of us miss. Hugs.
All I can say is that I love your home, your store, your love of color and whimsy. I just watched your video for a second time so I could pretend I was walking around exploring all you've done to make your spaces so magical. I am wondering if you have bought the store by now, and if you own your apartment? Since you are constantly changing so many things, constructing this and that, whether your landlord is OK with all you've transformed? Thanks for cheering me up this Sunday morning? Hope you are enjoying another relaxing Sunday with family.
Thank You as always for Sharing your Art and inspiration As well as Your family, you are blessed they are amazing… Thinking of Your family in Hawaii. They may not be exactly where the fire is but I’m sure they are affected as we all are. Many PRAYERS and Positive Energy
Your dad is fantastic! So adorable! He made me laugh aloud loudly! Haha! 💜 I can relate to hoarding and having more projects than I can get to! Debi don’t worry if you are…it will all work out and be very successful! Your home is fun with lots of color. I love your chair and wonder if you can link where to buy it. Thanks for sharing .💜
That is what I do too: buying lots of stuff for me which I do not need😁 But it is so pretty!! It just shows our artistic nature to create something new!
Damn, I luv your Dad❣ And you too❣ This video is the most brilliant thing I have seen all week. I actually cracked a smile. felt inspired, and experienced a big, warm fuzzy! I wish you all the luck in the universe for your opening...it is gonna be HOT. I sure wish that I lived closer, so that I could be there. Thanks so much for sharing! Lil hugs xo
Dearest Debi, you are by far my favorite! Thank you for sharing your corner of the world with us. I truly look forward to seeing what’s going on in your shop and life. Also, I’ve been praying for you and your family especially with the nasty weather coming your way. Be safe!

For example:
Yellow tag = deal with after
the Party, put in
POD
Pink tag = decor item for
the Party-be
sure to jot down
necessary info
(i.e. paint wider
vertical stripe)
Blue tag = this item needs to
be worked on for
purchase - be
sure to jot down
what work needs
to be done and
note price
Green tag = give away - be
sure to jot down
where the item
is going and
when it is going
Orange tag = toss
Doing this will help you to know exactly how much stuff you will be putting in temporary storage, if you choose to go that route.
Love your talent!!!!!
Love EVERYTHING you do! Creativity comes out of your pores! Wish I could come to the opening so bad, I’m in San Clemente, but I’ll be out of town 😢, but if you need a volunteer to help get ready, just saying…👍🏼💕
That is so Sweet
🇺🇸🇨🇱😩in Texas ..I want to go to your opening so bad......
I’m so excited to come to the store and to meet you at the event. This is me dancing 💃 😂
Debi, I love watching you for so many reasons. You make such great art, You inspire my creativity. You make me smile. You are such a REAL person.
Debi, you are a bright lite! Stop being so hard on yourself, just keep going, you are changing😍
Every time you let go of something, to bring yourself into balance, ( which is what you are trying to do), say to yourself, “ good job Debi, you are really getting this” .
Wish I could blend like that!!!
You do you Boo! You are an inspiration to so many including me! 🖼️That someone carries your paint in rural PA saved my creative soul! 🎨
Just accept you are as you are..I am the same it's why it's good to be able to buy and resell what we don't really want after all
sending you good vibes because of Hilary.
You should have totally had candle making classes at your shop to use up your supplies. It would have been a win win! Maybe next time.
We have a barn full of projects and we thrift every week. We have been working on the stuff in the barn while simultaneously thrifting and working on stuff. I have to have a blend of finishing old while still working on the new pretty. So far we’re making a dent in the barn hoard.
Jami, I would never consider you a hoarder. I’ve never seen anyone who sells Thrifted items so quickly you have mastered the flipping arts.❤❤❤
@@DebisDesignDiary I just have lots of hiding spots.
I just adore youuu! And also watching your dad makes my heart happy, I lost my dad 18 months ago & watching you dad on your vids is just great! Also your creativity is just amazing..
Love the mermaid lady picture and the other mermaid picture! Makes it come alive! You are so talented. Good job!🥰💜👍
I wish 🎉I had your Dad. I can relate to trying to declutter and then turning around and buying more stuff.
I love what you did with the naked lady picture! I will look at art work differently from now on. Great to see your videos show up.
Love your family, and friends . You surround yourself in goodness, they are helping you deal with the hoarding. I didn't know hoarding was caused by grief, I hope soon your Dad says you are a collector!
You always make me giggle 🤭 and yes your dad is definitely a treasure ❤️🙌
Nope! Got to let things go. :) I found that a one in, one out policy works. If you buy three new things, three other things must leave the house forever. It also helps to think that the things you let go of might be perfect for someone in need or just starting out with a new house or dorm. :)
That pink frame made my heart so happy!
Being disciplined is the key! Vow to only shop in your own stuff for a week or better a month. It's very rewarding, creative and GUILT FREE. You're so blessed to live by the beach. I'd go there work work out not on a machine.
The new rug is so perfect for your home style!
You always pull it together!! Your shop will look wonderful and everyone will have a magical time together! LOvE the new rug too!!
Thank you Dionne we are excited to get it looking ready and beautiful❤❤❤
Yes! I love your videos and your dad!🎉💜☺️
So brite boho chic! Love the colors! Vibrant neon colors are for vibrant personalities! Love.. love!
Good afternoon Debi! Your new rug is beautiful and fits your personality style better than the black and white one! Your Daddy is such a hard worker, sweet and cute, too! 😊 My Daddy was a builder, I miss him. 💕
traveling from WI to your store is BUCKET LIST for me!
I too love color. That rug is beautiful matches perfectly with your decor.
Your dad is so cute god bless him. Nice to see he can help you with setting up the store😊
Debi, I love your artwork and would move in your apartment in a heartbeat! I think it's perfect ❤❤❤ It's so happy 😊 Your Dad is precious and I love the way your family always spends Sundays together. Please be safe with the storm coming that way. ❤🙏❤🙏❤
I love your Dad’s garden truck!
Colour makes me Happy 😊
Don’t worry you’ll get it done especially with your helpers like your Gorgeous dad ❤him
Oh before I go I just Adore the mermaid
Take care honey you’ll get there and have a Great time at the end of it X
I SOOO relate to your “hoarding” dilemma. I think it’s common for “creatives.” My attention is often hijacked when I spot antique, vintage, & well-loved artwork, frames, furniture, pottery, & other decorative items, because I see so many potential ways to give them new lives by refinishing, repurposing, & upcycling. Our creative stashes may be daunting to others, but it’s difficult to part with items that have potential … there just aren’t enough hours in the day. 😢
Ooo!
Thank You as always for Sharing your Art and inspiration
As well as Your family, you are blessed they are amazing…
Thinking of Your family in Hawaii.
They may not be exactly where the fire is
but I’m sure they are affected as we all are.
Many PRAYERS and Positive Energy
I wanna try the bone density machine when I come to the release party!
Be safe!
I simply adore you! Your transparency is refreshing! I love your new rug! I’m all about the color also.
You know your struggles and are addressing them don't be too hard on yourself little by little ❤🎉
Girl, I get you. I'm a crafter and a hoarder of things to craft with. You're so right that donating feels like giving up on a dream. Heaven help us " edit " our stuff! ❤
Your new rug is perfect for your space. Love it! Thrifting is an addiction lol. Good luck sweetie! 💖💜💖
