It’s her positive attitude that got everyone’s attention. What a wonderful girl to stay positive & keep moving forward thru all the hardships that would devastate most people. It’s obvious that she’s beautiful both outside as well as inside!
All I can say is WOW!!!! I absolutely love watching the Surprise Squad videos, usually they will bring a smile to my face, and rarely, occasionally they may even bring a tear or two, BUT this video caused tears to run down my face! I thank you! From Canada.

She is such a lovely girl. She has every reason to become mean and hateful towards the world, but instead she chooses to be everyone's inspiration. From her wheelchair where she can no longer participate in the sports she loves, she cheers on all her teammates and celebrates their wins with them. The community around here is full of amazing people who truly care.

I would like to see the medical records of her hospitalization. Bacterial blood infection, "sepsis" is not uncommon. Would like to review those records for you.

The two gifts were appreciated I'm sure, but I know what it takes to make a house disabled friendly and $5,000 will barely cover painting the front door. To make her home so she can have a normal-like life would take much more than that and it seems to me that a credit union could have partnered with other local businesses to make the gift at least $20,000. Heck, I'm not wealthy by any means and I could have (and maybe will but it's a year old) given the family $5,000. So while the bank's gift was appreciated it was totally unimpressive.
As for the front line passes to every theme park in Florida, I live in Florida and it depends on what the organization defines as a "theme park". There are really only 4 and they are mostly in Orlando. There is Disney World, Universal Studios, Epcot, and Sea World. There used to be a couple of other smaller ones that are closed. The only other possibility would be the Aquarium in Tampa and the Bush Gardens out side of Tampa.
The tickets per person in Orlando is probably between $60 and $70 dollars per person or about $210 for a family of three. But not included in the gift was the round trip for at least 3, the hotel rooms, food, and local transportation; all of which will cost much more than the tickets to the theme parks. While I'm sure the gift was made in good faith, the gift should never cost more than it takes to use the gift. Again, that organization could have partnered with Disney, Universal, Epcot, Sea World, Bush Gardens, and the Tampa Aquarium to foot the bill for one or two nights at each park in return for the national and local advertisement of their goodwill for the family. And I have no doubt that one of the airlines and one of the rental car companies would have done the same for the advertisement of helping a family with a disabled daughter.
If you have ever seen the TV series George To The Rescue, he does exactly that. He gets the local contractors and businesses to donate their services and products for being advertised / recognized on national TV.
In fact had the community contacted George To The Rescue he may have brought his team in to renovate the house so that it was totally assessable for Rea including the bathroom, the width of the doors, and everything and may have even thrown in Disney World.
Anyway, the total value of both gifts would be about $6,000. Helpful but the family will likely spend more than that on the travel, hotel, food, and transportation costs of the Florida theme parks alone.
I'm not impressed compared with what that young woman has gone through.
