About IBS Treatment Center
===========================
Dr. Stephen Wangen, co-founder and Medical Director of the IBS Treatment Center, and his staff have successfully helped over 10,000 people resolve irritable bowel syndrome and chronic digestive problems since 2005.
Some patients have had IBS symptoms so severe that they spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital. Others are suffering alone at home and are no less frustrated with the impact that it is having on their lives. The thread that tied them all together was that they had never seen an IBS expert (much different than a gastroenterologist), a doctor whose only mission is to help people solve IBS.
Patients work with us from around the country and the world via our telemedicine services. Get back your life! Work with us via telemedicine. Visit the IBS Specialists at ibstreatmentcenter.com - Наука та технологія

@@jaredlyon9987 I have a video on that. It shouldn't be too hard to locate.
Suffering with candida for 40 years went on the carnivore diet 20 days ago plus taking 50 mg of Diflucan my candida brain fog skin rashes bloating joint pain disappeared in one week. I truly feel like king Kong I eat pretty much grass, fed beef, organic chicken, Oregon meat shrimp, wild game, lots of organic butter, huge game changer in my life love it. 🤠💪🏻🥩
Congrats! I'm so glad that you are feeling so much better. And thank you for sharing your story.
Did you have any dizziness, almost like you were drunk?
I finally figured that I have a candida overgrowth when I started probiotics to heal my gut from a bad bout with a food borne illness. They worked well for over a month then they started making me feel illl, + stomach pains + low grade fever. It took me a while to figure out that the rice noodles that I added to my diet as something easy to digest caused the deterioration of my health. When I eat Protein, in small quantities, the symptoms subside.
I dealt with a candida overgrowth at least 20 years ago. Oregano Oil was a life saver. I just purchased some. Hopefully, it will help alleviate this yeast overgrowth.

this is so true. God bless those battling candida! i am now , !
Best of Health!
I am so glad to see you address this topic. Some years ago I had a traumatic accident that also resulted in a hard to fight body-wide infection. That battle was one, but left me with a hideous case of candida overgrowth which turned out to be harder to knock down than the first. But we did get a handle on it. Just like you mentioned, I had to change my diet (strictly in my case), use both natural and prescription agents, and lastly, incredible patience to get thru the repeated die-off phases. To this day, I have to be smart and not let it get an advantage. Another benefit I had by cutting out all those sugary foods I craved was that I trimmed down significantly and also had way less joint pain. Anyone who has had to have an intense or lengthy antibiotic treatment could be candidates for a candida backlash.
Thanks for sharing your journey. It's real, and I've seen it many times. Well done!

I'm on fluconazole and I'm not well at all..Please reply
Hi there. In desperation I came across this video. I really appreciated the way you gave ranges to explain minor and moderate cases versus severe. Very informative and it made my symptoms feel validated.
I have likely had candida overgrowth for 6+ years (only recently diagnosed via GI MAP), as well as leaky gut. Of course, the indigestion, belching and GI issues are horrendous and never end, but my truly unbearable and debilitating symptom that completely rules my life is the brain fog.
Over the years, without knowing what I had or how to kill the candida (and feeding it the wrong things), the brain fog has gotten so out of control that I feel intoxicated all times of the day and have faintness (not actually fainting but feeling like I might).
This treatment gave me lots of hope, and two days ago marked one week since starting the regimen my doctor put me on to kill the yeast: antifungal supplements, strict diet, and lifestyle changes.
I know it is only day 9 of the treatment, and my GI MAP detected very high candida levels, but I am so used to things not working that I fear (for my physical and mental health) that this will be another fail.
I know you mentioned that it can take weeks to see a difference. I just would like to know if it sounds normal, with my very high candida levels, that I am still not feeling much better at day 9?
Thank you, just feeling desperate for relief…:(

Ive tried most things and candida still wont go away.
1. starving it doesnt work.
2. starving it + anti fungals doesnt work.
3. starving it + anti fungals + biofilm breakers doesnt work.
what i am trying now that seems to be promising is:
1. lower carbs but keep carbs in to feed gut microbiome (some fiber and resistance starch)
2. anti fungal nystatin to kill the yeast.
3. repopulate gut with sporebased probiotics to take over candidas place.

Could you make a video about advanced Candida and how it’s play into chronic Lyme? I’ve been carnivore for awhile but still puking bits of ground meat and herbs and sometimes even greens. All I eat is meat and fish, low/zero carb cheese, cream, raw cream line milk, and low carb veggies and sometimes berrys and flax/chia/hemp/psyllium seeds when I crave fiber. Lots of garlic and black cumin oil, raw oregano from my garden and ACV with pine needles I made a shrub. Im better but not good. I think the Candida and “Lyme” or vector sourced pathogens are working together and I don’t know what I’m missing maybe the subfractured castor oil or the safe anti-fungal you mentioned. Pretty desperate at this point.
That's a great question. But it sounds like you need a lot more than a video. You need something a lot more customized than that. We'd be happy to work with you to figure out what that is.

I’m often getting stings on left under rib. I’ve had transient Intussusception, that turned out nit being anything in mri, double balloon Endoscopy, camera pill. First showed on CT and randomly, while looking at what was called either ulcer or gastritis, it shows in MRI again.thats why I got the double baloney thing after. Unsure if related at all. But I get constipated a lot. More commonly get nauseous after eating. I get mucus in throat from certain foods, I try to avoid. Dairy-especially fatty stuff or cottage cheese, Greek yogurt. It’s is like an inflammatory reaction. I get it from soy sauce, some breads, too. I’m trying to think of what tests to try? No H Pylori detected.
what levels of Nystatin are required to treat candida?
What about Thorne SF722 (Undecenoic Acid)? Or Monolaurin?
I follow Cambria joy and she mentioned monilaurin for hers.
Best I've tried is oregano, ground pine tree needles and nystatin.
Give Candibactin BR a try. I've been using it for a few months and it's really helping me. It's on amazon. It's pricey but well worth it.
Put apple cider vinegar in your water. Preferably not tap water.
what about apples they do have kinda a lot of sugar? would this not be as bad since theres fiber?
Apples generally aren't too much of a problem.

Wow. What an amazing story. I'm so glad that you are feeling better now. Thank you for sharing that.
So happy to read this. Fluconazole hasn’t helped me. I’m struggling to get better.
Does candida cause allergy symptoms? Tightness of throat, nasal congestion, etc? Whenever I eat anything that my body use to tolerate I have a mild allergic reaction. I’ve noticed eating meat, eggs, yogurt, and veggies doesn’t cause the same effect as fruit and other foods. I’ve never had a good allergy in my life and it seems like I’ve become allergic to almost everything I ate that was healthy.
There are many reasons that can happen, and Candida is one of them. We've certainly had many people describe feeling reactive to just about everything they eat. We'd be happy to work with you on sorting that out.

Hi Brett. Those are 5 really good and complex questions. It would take a lot more time to address those than we have here. But we frequently work with patients on those issues.

But in reality most things don't work nearly as well as they are purported to work. That's why we treat every patient differently. You have to find out what's relevant in each patient. You can't just make sweeping statement about products, any more than you can about a particular food being good or bad for everyone.

How do you dose garlic as a antibiotic
What can I eat instead of my oatcakes
I suffer from candida since a year. Tried several diets already. Vegetarian, carnivore, anti-candida… Always with anti-fungals. Nothing helped… Are fermented foods ok to eat? I eat different fermented foods now.
Milkkefir from raw goatsmilk, sauerkraut, miso, natto, tempeh, Boullardii that i put in some fruit and let fermented, Yoghurt with the bacteria Gasseri, Kamboucha in moderation.
Still use anti-fungals like Oregano, garlic, Mct-oil…
I think the problem is stress-related. Hate my job. One month to go then something else. Need to change that…
So my question was… Are fermented foods ok to rebuild my gut and to push Candida more out?
Fermented foods are trick. They aren't a yes or no answer. For example, if you happen to be reactive to the food, fermenting it isn't likely to be any better. And there are different types of fermentation, bacterial and yeast. And I wouldn't recommend yeast fermentation for treating Candida. Also, it's possible that you don't have the right antifungal to treat your particular strain of Candida. And of course stress doesn't help either. Don't give up. You can figure it out!
Same. It just becomes a problem at random. Tried all the diets.
Did you resolve it?
Kefir and Saurerkraut never did anything for me but cause histamine related issues never did anything that felt like a full Detox only thing I noticed my skin got smoother but the histamine issues werent worth it and you cant just push through them, but when I started taking a multi strain Probiotic Supplement with Acidpholius and Bifido strains I experienced intense die off for almost a week with Flu like symptoms until I felt better Acidpholius is a Histamine Neutral Strain and Bifido actually is known to degrade histamine problem is lot of fermented foods have histamine raising strains, Store bought probiotic yogurts were only making the overgrowth worse too for me I
could tell cause my dandruff and skin was getting worse cause they contain too much sugar most of them have about 14 grams ! not only that they have histamine raising strains as well.
I can show an article that does prove Kefir has antifungal properties apparently the yeasts are beneficial and not pathogenic type like Candida and that could explain why my skin improved, but if your somebody like me that has Histamine Intolerance its a no go. I have a feeling you can get rid of Histamine Intolerance once you correct your microbiome though having more good than bad bacteria and I plan on fixing that with my Probiotic Supplement but not Fermented food cause I doubt it will.
You should add Ginger to your antifungal list too, its good for Candida /SIBO as long as you dont have problem with Sacylites.
Hey milk is the cause of it mostly. You got to drop all dairy. Do food allergy test if you wish. I was the same. Milk kefir yoghurt. Made ne feel awful. Thought I was dead. 2 years dairy free and I'm alive again. Celery. Juice will help. Take it every day
What if I also have SIBO? It seems to makes it even harder to treat.

You can use stevia and allulose and erythritol and monk fruit. Liquid stevia tastes great.
No
With candida you don't use any sweeteners, even stevia.
When you say anything sweet does that mean cutting out fresh fruit ie pears apples ect out of your diet also ?
Sometimes that is necessary. It depends on a lot of variables.
I have been treating candida overgrowth over time and seems not going away sometimes while at it I get so much itching and very ignoring am really very scared wondering what's happening with my system kept me thinking i am finish
I feel the same
Have yiest infection for the last two months.
Take garlic and probiotics
But have some kind of bloating and gas.
How to cure.
garlic is a fermentable food that will greatly worsen your symptoms and won't be as effective as an herbal preparation and targeted antibiotic regimen with a biofilm disruption medication.
Are you saying we should avoid fresh fruits?
Pretty much ...sugary foods anyway... sweet fruits and a lot of them generally the yeasts in fruit are not the same as yeasts in bread pasta etc. So it's not as bad but it depends how much you eat. If you eat enough to give yourself a glucose spike then yes avoid that. But not all fruit is bad either. Bitter melon actually can bring down sugar levels. Bitter fruits would be very good. But yeast makes fruit into wine. And so they feed on fruit. Like grapes and peaches. Sweet fruits. If they're Bitter fruits that's not so bad or if you're only eating a small amount. You can get great vitamin c from strawberries and lots of antioxidants in blueberries but pick a variety that's not sweet. Usually the organic ones aren't so sweet or heritage varieties. Things like vegetables too... potatoes peas carrots. Anything which yeast can feed on. I still ate fruit when I did the diet ..and ate sweet fruit but just a small amount. It was OK. The body can fight it off if its not getting too much food. Stopping carbs would be more a priority than stopping fruit because of the other yeasts that can eat the fruit that are not candida. Vinegar for example also has yeast but its a very different form of yeast. One way you can test a food is microwave it very hot to kill anything naturally on it. Let it cool down then spit in the cup and put a lid on it. In a day you will see the lid of cling film starts to raise up ..that means your spit has fermented the food. If you eat yoghurt eith fruit this also helps a lot. The lactobacteria fight against yeast so if you do eat fruit or sweet vegetables eat an amount of yoghurt of sugar kraut with it to counteract it.

It won't get rid of it, but it can help temporarily.
Sir i want to take ur treatment
We'd be happy to help you. Please call us at 206-264-1111, or email at Tracy@ibstreatmentcenter.com
So after its treated can you got back to eating sugars, etc.... or are we talking about having to stay on the diet as a life style change?
Great question. We've seen that it varies a lot. But you will know once you get there.
can you eat raw garlics for the treatment and how many should i eat a day
That could help, but I don't know how many it would take each day. Probably at least a couple of cloves, 2-3 times per day. If you need more help, we'd love to work with you.
Dr.Stephen , Can candida cause a swollen stomach? 👍
Yes. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/9yVRAaPHe0Q/v-deo.html
Quick question sir. What about candida of the skin? Is the treatment still the same?
It's mostly about using a topical antifungal agent, and using it long enough to truly get the job done.
Since the antifungal stays in the tract, it should be ok for breastfeeding moms, right?
Which anti fungal many are quite dangerous and will cross into your body. Depends on the antifungal.

Sometimes that is helpful, especially if you cut out dried fruit and very sweet fruit. I don't normally remove all fruit from the diet, but occasionally that is necessary.
@@IBSTreatmentCenter Doctor, I suffer from candida in the intestines and stomach bacteria. I am from Syria. Is there a treatment for candida? How long does it last? What is the best natural treatment? There is a diet that prohibits all oils and dairy. I only eat fruits. Is this good? Thank you, Doctor.
@@user-zl2lw8lv6q Whew. Lots of good questions. Only eating fruits might make it difficult to treat. Fruits generally have a lot of sugar in them. And there are a lot of things that might be effective for treating Candida, but it will depend on what you have available in your country. Look around for products that say they are for treating Candida. There is a reasonably good chance that you'll find something effective. And give them time. It can even take several weeks, or even longer.
My Candida overgrowth is high and its causing seborrheic dermatitis to me. I also have an autoimmune problem that's been causing hair loss. I took Diflucan and it'd cause my hair to fall out more. It was working but i stopped. Do you think Candida is related to Autoimmune diseases ? Can i use Nystatin ? For how long?
Hi Merna. Thanks for writing. Those are all good questions, but ones that we could only get into with a lot more information and working with you as a patient. But I can say that Candida might be exacerbating an autoimmune condition. And there are likely other factors as well.
I have the same problem....I didnt take a perscribed antifungal treatment because I heard of hair fall out. I've already lost 80% of my hair. My hairloss I believe is due from candida and leaky gut from founds of antibiotics and steriods from a back surgery and stress. Absolutely devastating. I have sd on my scalp face and neck like I've never had before. It burns so bad. Last 7 months have been a night mare. So fa lost 30 lbs.
I've had candida for 40 yrs and I didn't realise that you can't even eat oatcakes no wonder it's go e on for so long
I’ve also got seborrheic dermatitis with Candida

and what about inulin or psyllium ?? are these allowed ??
They are fine as far as Candida is concerned, but that doesn't guarantee that you'll tolerate them well.
Is licorice root food for candida? Cause the tea is so sweet 😂
LIcorice root is fine, unless there is something else in there. I know what you mean, it does have a sweetness to it, but it's not a sugar or a carb.
Thank you - will have a tea right now 😋
I'm on fluconazole and I'm not feeling well...my anxiety level is at its peak...i don't know what's happening...can i take antidepressants?what can I do? Please reply..i dont know.what to d9
You need to talk to your doctor. Unfortunately we can't help you with that on UA-cam. You'd need to be a patient.
If anyone knows a good doctor to treat candida in Ontario Canada?
We have lots of patients in Canada. We'd by happy to work with with you! Just give us a call at 206-264-1111, or email Erika at SM@IBSTreatmentCenter.com.
Food for thought, what causes candida overgrowth? Too much sacharides/sugar and an absence of other "good" bacteria due to modern lifestyle. Also, wouldn't the herxheimer reaction suggest that we are also destroying "good" bacteria in the process of killing off candida? Since the Herxheimer reaction can ocure when administring antibiotics.
The reaction that you can get from taking antibiotics is not from killing off good bacteria. It's from treating bad bacteria. You can get the same reaction from taking probiotics. Here's my video on how you get Candida: ua-cam.com/video/jhCIZ6gXpjY/v-deo.html
I'm most certain that i have a big over growth of candida. Ibs skin sores headache brain fog. I have a problem with my throat so sore tonsils my tongue has a white film over it. Im diabetic it was out of control back in may. It was 17 now i have got in down to 6.1. I have done it through food. I have cut out all dairy because i can't tolerate it and refined sugars and gluten. And now with the candida i can't eat fruit. Had melon gave me a lump in my throat.
I have seen 3 doctors in the uk that didn't even pick candida up. So they want to put cameras everywhere. So no one will give me a prescription for antifungal nystatin. Been everywhere pharmacist. How much is you emailed me a prescription. I need to start Treatment. Just wondering if you could help please. Thank you.
That's frustrating. We'd be happy to work with you. We've had many patients in the U.K.
Will also love to have a script please Doc, been struggling for months nkw
I have oral candida, I was on fluconazole now. What’s next if I didn’t respond to the treatment?
Don't eat sugar. Do eat yoghurt all day long and saur kraut. Do take iodine. Do use a tea tree oil to brush your teeth. One drop is enough. Wash your mouth out with salt water after eating. Do take a multivitamin with vitamin d to help your immune system. Do not eat any sugar if you do need something sweet choose a fruit and eat yoghurt directly after wards and wash your mouth out with salt water. Dont use mouth wash which will kill the other bacteria that fights yeast. Should go in a few days.
Does candida cause eye floaters and blurry vision? I had antibiotics treatment for hpylori ever since then I have candida on my tongue
Not that I'm aware of.

It's the same as Diflucan
I have done the sibo test.which turn out to be negative. I did blood tests endoscopy ct scan colonoscopy but nothing was found...but I have severe stomach cramps.and bloating, itchy ears and eyes, a rash and a white coat on the tongue...I asked my doctor to prescribe fluconazole 50mg daily...I had some die off reactions but my stomach cramps got worse it just won't stop...i don't know if it's part of the die off...anybody who has been going through same...please help me
The drug you're taking may not be effective against particular strains. Try natural remedies - Garlic, Oregano Oil, Neem etc. Eat boiled greens & white meat like chicken, fish. Exercise and do running which helps induce sweating and release of toxins. Also do reach out to the doc in the video on his website for a professional consultation.
Theres two types of sibo. Make sure you were checked for both. Could also be an intolerance, like gluten. Or parasites. Could also be something physical as well. I dont know if bloating and pain comes from candida die off but maybe could be the medication?

Is black garlic better for candida than the regular garlic?
Garlic of Hamedan is the best in world! Ten times more effective than others
From what I googled,.it said studies show black garlic has more antioxidants than regular garlic, so yes
But do natural antibiotics (such as UVA URSI) damage the intestinal microbiota as much as the classic antibiotics you take in the pharmacy?
p.s.: I'm addicted to sugar and I eat a lot of pasta and pizza... I can limit the pasta/pizza, but it's hard to cut off on cakes.
Natural antimicrobials are a great question. In general they are much less harmful to the good bacterial.
My tongue bed is white most of the time, my nasals are dry yet clogged. Is this Candida?
Could be. It can't be diagnosed on symptoms alone.
