  • Relief wood carving of a pine cone design carved clock using traditional chisels and gouges! A Dremel was used for certain aspects of the carve as well. It's carved out of white pine wood and took me approximately 14 hours to complete the carving portion. If you enjoyed the video make sure you like, subscribe, and share it! It really helps me out!

    I like the carving tool noise the best. Nothing like a good clean slicing cut noise!!
    Do you know how dry your pine wood is before you carve?

      Very true! I buy my wood from a local sawmill so they have it kiln dried. I'm not sure the exact level of how dry it is, but my best guess is that it's pretty much as dry as it can get.

    What's the white pine like to carve compared to bass wood?

    • @ChiseledOutdoorsCC
      @ChiseledOutdoorsCC  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks. Honestly I'd say it's very similar. It's pretty much the same softness, but I think white pine is slightly more grainy. You have to be careful with how aggressive you are when carving because big chunks can come out if you're not careful. I enjoy carving it though. It's cheap and very easy for me to get locally compared to basswood.

      Thank you for watching I’m glad you’re enjoying them! I get my wood from a local sawmill and prep the wood for carving myself. I plan to sell wood blanks ready to carve on my Etsy page sometime soon.

    What was that triangular sander that you had that was Electric

      It's a mini sander I found on Amazon. It honestly worked great and is a great addition to my tool collection. I added a link of it in the description if you're interested or wanted to learn more about it.
