It's a theory (so you safe to read) that JoyBoy had the same Devil Fruit as Luffys and when Zunesha said JoyBoy has returned it means that Luffy unlocked the same powers that JoyBoy had.
1. It's glossed over a bit more here then in the manga, but Luffy 100% died temporarily. It's why so much emphasis is put on Momo and Law saying that his "voice" is gone. 2. Even after a year of knowing it was coming, Zunisha talking about the drums of liberation still got me all kinds of hyped as hell.

My son and I started watching One Piece during the pandemic , and when we reached the latest episode I started to read the Manga and waited for the weekly release. My son thoug remain to be an anime watcher only and it brings joy to me when I see his genuine reaction when watching the weekly episode of the anime.

But luffy actually died, i think it's how his fruit awakened, the confirmation is law and momo not hearing his voice, we gonna know in the future more about his devil fruit for sure
As a manga reader, there was a sfx with Luffy's grin here that was posted in manga that was a great hint of whats to come. I would recommend that you check it out when you get proper names and stuff of whats to come in next few episodes
