@@reidboggs4344 I understand that, but I hope that the animation for rest of the Luff's Gear5 and Kaido battle scenes would not be like cartoons. Otherwise, I believe it would be a huge disappointment to the fans who waited so long.
@@kent5thblack15 I'm not an original fan, but I've watch one piece since I learned about it in 2013, ever since I've been hooked, the shows only gotten better with time, and if it continues this way more people will sing one pieces praises than could ever be imagined. With the live action on its way now as well I feel oda is making the perfect moves at the perfect times, what's not to love about this latest development in animation? In my humble opinion I think it perfectly captures luffy childlike essense as a character and the artistic freedom the animatosr are allowed to have in expressing their full view of what that freedom means to them, and I think that means a lot more than what some fans may think at the end the day. Me personally? Ima sit back and enjoy this show till either I die first or I make it to the end godwilling, but either way I'm already enjoying every second
@@kent5thblack15 but you have to understand that this makes Luffy as undefeatable as Bugs Bunny plugging a shotgun barrel with his fingertips. It is a genius level story telling plot twist.

A transformation where you can laugh along with the main character, Gear 5. Only One Piece, no, only Oda can think of something like this. I love how this is the polar opposite of Goku's Super Saiyan like Ultra Instinct but WAYYYYY less serious yet hype. I LOVE ONE PIECE FOR REAL!!!

Imagine you are in a 'real world' and you end up fighting a cartoon character, what can you really do to hurt them? This is really an absurdly strong power. For example, look at the film "Who framed roger rabbit", it's the same situation, or "the mask" or older cartoons, the only think Luffy can't do (probably) is make things appear out of nowhere, but everything else a (classic) cartoon can do, he probably can do too.

I feel like Luffys devil fruit represents freedom of imagination, creativity and fun, it is funny that the world government is trying to get a hold of it but can never really do it, they say it's almost like the devil fruit is evading them. It feels like a comparison to censorship, you can never suppress human nature (plus the fruit is the human human fruit, it makes even more sense), you can never stop the people from using their imagination(the way Luffy fought also is very cartoonish and "unrealistic/impossible" but still through the power of imagination and creativity, we see luffy making it possible), maybe the one piece is related to that, the one piece may be the ability to imagine, it surely is a treasure to humans. We can see that through out the anime, one piece is filled with creative personas, places, clothes, prespectives, etc, all that comes from one place, our heads.
Honestly this throws me back to early OP fights like Buggy… real nostalgia type stuff, the eyes and expressions especially

You know when such people - even just a tiny representation of us OP fandom - with these reactions all over the world, it needs to make you (finally) realize how much fun and excitement you brought to us with Gear 5 and this chapter. Not a protagonist that needs hate or fury to achieve the next evolution, but simply joy. Now, we all get it. What a unique and fitting way for Luffy.
