Quad muscles ftw! Well done on your events, you did your country proud! 😅 Really interesting to see your thought process on these, very cool under the pressure of a time limit unlike myself... 😂
Good lord that is one tiny yet mighty spring cannon holy crap. Also that ramp idea is brilliant! Didn't think to actually try starting from a higher point, haha. Well done! :D
damn... that catapult has to be first place, unless someone is a veteran sniper and managed to make it hit the top-right corner (i bet that's what happened, knowing how crazy people can go)
Yep. He was very VERY close but Reid and I managed to squeak barely over. Final top three according to RCE were: 1. Reid Captain - 402.98m 2. Arglin - 401.73m 3. Aliensrock - 399.64m
I love that reed arglin and rce all commented on your builds and it really seems like you guys all had a good time. You guys should all do this as a series. @aliensrock @arglin @rce @reed
I saw a minor optimization you could have done with the ramp: put it closer to the wall so the car has more track length to build up speed. Other than that, your solutions blew me away. I didn't think of raising the ramp, for example. Hope you get gold.
I love how UA-cam knows even though it's been months since I've watched any Poly Bridge video, it knows that it should put an Aliensrock Poly Bridge video in my recommended
I found this channel in the heart of quarantine, two days before PolyBridge 2 dropped (which fell on my birthday :D). Tyler’s progression through this game everyday at midnight was one of the only constants I enjoyed as I changed in parallel with the world around me. Seeing it again fills me with a warm nostalgia, so thank you Tyler
So youtube finally recommended me your channel again after over 2 or 3 years, and I literally had a tear or 3 in my eyes when I saw how much your channel grew. I'm really happy for you and hope your journey on twitch and youtube continues
So for the high jump, I think a Euler spiral would be the best ramp curve. It introduces a linearly-increasing angular acceleration. The radius of the curve linearly increase from infinity to whatever the final radius for the vertical exit.
Regarding the hurdles: I wonder is someone got the idea to build a mechanism after the last hurdle to "slam dunk" the vehicle into the flag. I mean, I didn't hear of any rule disallowing you to build more than just the spring cannons :P Could've potantially also built a ramp down after each hurdle to make the car land sooner. If there was a rule about that, then forget what I said xD I just didn't hear any ;P
We didn't put anything in the rules that stops you from doing that, but you do only get 4 roads, so to interact with the vehicle you'd have to sacrifice one of the launches.
@@ArglinPB I mean, I could totally imagine you revisiting this with more time and somehow breaking the physics to "skip" the last hurdle xD So, you're welcome :P
I'm so happy you played more PB2.. You should check the campaigns and see if anyone out out a really difficult but not impossible campaign to play. This game is how I even found you!!!
you know, seeing this after playing a relatively shitty bridge builder makes me sad... The game I'm playing has so many interesting setups (you are often building bridges for barrels and people instead of cars, and they have bounding boxes to force you to build in a specific place), but then it's also lacking a lot of important shit like fine tuning (everything is locked to the large grid), copy and paste, leader boards, sharing designs, springs, hydraulics (more understandable, as it's walking dead themed), feedback on what broke first, a bit of the stress indicators... still really fun, especially with the interesting scenarios you have to build bridges for... Sometimes you even have to break the bridge on purpose so that some specific cars/people don't make it over the bridge... it makes it quite interesting because then you have to design the bridge to break in such a way that the enemies fall into the pit, but then the protagonists don't. On one level they tried to help with this, but instead of it being useful, it actually became another obstacle as all it kept doing was Koolaid manning its way through my damn catch! It forced you to make a jump, and on my first successful build of the ramp, I managed to make it collapse behind the protagonist's cars, but the truck that was supposed to be destroying the ramp was destroying the landing instead!
I like this concept, are teams allowed? I haven't gone to college, but I make Lego clocks and Lego RC cars as a hobby. I know trigonometry enough to apply it to Lego, but my English sucks
7:30 I don’t want to question a genius but wouldn’t it have been better to put the ramp closer to the wall on the right so the car could get more speed?
Excited to see the results? This video here shows the standings for each event and overall! ua-cam.com/video/VOhZtjvFR2I/v-deo.html
Yay poly bridge is back!
your comment is first.
Lebrn jams
Will check back if you update this comment, will be funny how people will not understand the joke after the edit.
You don’t need to make a bridge under budget when you have family.

Hey I remember our collab when I literally asked for more time, I'm surprised I finished at all lol
Im sure he would've done much better if he'd have just used the worlds strongest shape

"The problem mostly lies with the game and not my own sanity" is one of the best quotes I've ever heard. I may have to steal this from you kind sir.
“Poly Bridge? There’s a name I haven’t heard in a while…”
I forgot the name for a little bit the other day, I was trying to look it up, but all I could remember it being called was "bridge game"...
Bridge game monke brain
Do you know him?
Good lord that is one tiny yet mighty spring cannon holy crap.
Also that ramp idea is brilliant! Didn't think to actually try starting from a higher point, haha. Well done! :D
Glad to see you returning my guy. :)
Fun fact, the red border for the shotput event is to prevent the boulder from hitting the physics border, which would completely stop it.
I forgot Poly Bridge even existed after all this time

I agree, some nuthead most likely did hit the right corner
Guess what lol
Shame he got third by a sliver

I just recently got done watching a lot of the PB2 videos and i'm so happy that its back, even if it may just be this one video
By far the most fun Poly Bridge video and event created.
I hope you guys are gonna do something similar in Poly Bridge 3!
A blessing from the gods for sure
So glad to see another Poly Bridge video!
an aliensrock polybridge video in july of 2021, truly gods gift

That first one was awesome! Congrats on such a powerful launcher

On the ramp, you should have started the ramp later so the car ramped closer to the wall, so it had more time to accelerate
