Ram Aur Shyam (English: Ram And Shyam) is a 1967 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film directed by Tapi Chanakya. The film is a remake of Chanakya's 1964 Telugu film Ramudu Bheemudu. It stars Dilip Kumar in a double role as twin brothers, alongside Waheeda Rehman, Mumtaz, Nirupa Roy, and Pran. The music was composed by Naushad, with lyrics written by Shakeel Badayuni.
Ram Aur Shyam was the second highest-grossing Indian film of 1967, domestically in India and overseas. The film received 3 nominations at the 15th Filmfare Awards, including Best Actress for Waheeda Rehman and Best Supporting Actress for Mumtaz and won Best Actor for Dilip Kumar.

Dr.Alay Ahmad .Dear Audience , I wish to register my impression about acting of Dilip Kumar's double role .His performance in Ram..Shyam " top class .This movie deserves Award in particular Dilip Kumar . I watched this movie during my studentship at AMU .
As a fan of Dilip sb, Waheeda ji and Pran sb, I found this movie long winded and the musical score, uninspiring. The story, adapted as it was from the Telugu original was sufficiently entertaining, but largely predictable. Of the three, Waheeda's performance was totally stellar. Loved her relationship, both with Rao sb as well as with Shyam. Her communication was adorable. I've always felt that Dilip sb overdid his roles, much in the mode of Shivaji Ganeshan. Histrionic actors both of them, though very charming. But still some noteworthy performances. The scene where Waheeda and Dilip meet for tea is unforgettable. Dilip sb is most convincing as the wuzz. Coming to the great Pran sb, this was a most powerful performance, made all the more convincing being played in tandem with Dilip's role.
Watch the movie by all means, but youll need to ff the songs and some of the village scenes which are not memorable. ANd yes, loved Mumtaz and Ram's chemistry.
Such a beautiful movie. My all time favourite. Print quality is very good.
