      2010 Indian census registry stated there's over ten 10 million Muslims and four 4 million illegal immigrants from Bangladesh in Assam State in North-East. Nepal & North-East India used to be a land of Chinese looking Asiatic indigenous Native people, but now they have became minority on their own beloved mother land as South Asians took over. You are next, Myanmar!

      Depends. Is the current government selling oil to the US at a favorable rate and do these events affect oil production? If the answers are yes and no respectively then we'd probably sell them better weapons so they can kill people more effectively. Case in point: Saudi Arabia

      Its more horrifying when these people think that name calling (its very hard to be polite to people wanting genocide on others) is a bigger sin than actual genocide and rapes. No joke. They also call these reporting as leftist media * facepalm *.
      The level of their humanity is in the negatives...
      Edit: Oh yeah, see that guy Xino Fiero at the bottom there? In another thread here, he just compared himself as being more poor compared to the Rohingya aka the people who are suffering from genocide to poor health conditions (dying from diarrhea) or suffer from human traffickers (held for ransom otherwise torture or death).
      @imgamerful
      Oh really? Come up with the numbers 1st instead of imaginary numbers that you think everyone can see.

    As a Shan or as a minority in Myanmar, it is just so sad to see that the international only recognizes the case between Rohingyas and the Military. The latter was and is still causing violence in other minority states like Kachin, Kayin and Shan. The Military of Myanmar is the common enemy of both majority (Burmese) and all minorities. They've destroyed many lives and futures for their own good.

The Brits didn't colonize Pakistan or India. Where are these British people? If they had colonize these countries their populations would be in the millions and there are zero Brits in p,I, or Myanmar. What the Brits did was control the sea ways and the leaders of the area alined with the Brits.

      There are way too many internal conflicts in Myanmar. It's like Afghanistan of the South East. Hopefully Su Kyi will at least be able to bring peace to your people along with Karen, Kayah and other repressed groups. Unfortunately there is no hope for the Rohingya though. They have hogwashed the history of Arakan and put their own version to brand them as outsiders. Maybe they did it for winning over the Rakhines who are also oppressed and have their own militant group.

What I find quite amusing is when specimens like yourself always bring the “but the others did” excuse. Just so your backwards brain knows, this minority hasn’t been linked to any terrorist attacks against Myanmar. You’re against them for the simple fact that they’re muslim, which is a deeply flawed type of logic, ISIS itself using it for propaganda purposes.

    As a Burmese let me tell you about the other side of the story.
    The military took control over the country in the name "national stability".
    During the military rule, they attacked not only the Rohingyas but also some ethics groups like Karen, Shan, and Arakanese. They have oppressed the Burmese citizens that they don't want to know what's beyond their world.
    The lack of internet access in Rakhine region makes it hard for the Burmese to know about this case. Also the tension between the Burmese and Arakanese causes problems for the Burmese media to go there. Because of that, the news about this has become one-sided. That gives the military an advantage that the current government would be blamed for that because of "the government controls the military" thing.
    The military doesn't listen to the government and they are still in charge of the country. In fact, the chief of defense staff is a remnant of the former Military Government. He got his position because of "if you want it, then you get it" thing. He can even de facto elect himself for his position.
    The Burmese government has to rule the country with the military's constitution (2008 constitution). Before 2016, they altered some laws to prevent Aung San Su Kyi from becoming the president. So the government had to ignore the military doings, waiting to reform the military in their second term and having to ignore the criticism regarding this case.
    TL;Dr: The military is the problem and they are trying to sabotage the government by any means.
    *Extra info*: It is also claimed/exposed that the Rohingyas are said to be Bengali people brought to the country and given "white cards" and the rights to vote by the military-backed party so that they could cheat in elections (2010 and probably 2015). So, this "ethnical cleansing" could be "getting rid of the evidence" and "an opportunity to sabotage Aung San Su Kyi's government".

    • @maddman9468
      @maddman9468 4 роки тому +18

      @Stark Industries The Military Party deliberately call them Bengalis. It is still unclear, to the Burmese people, on the origin of the Rohingyas. Some claimed that they wanted recognition that they're a different ethnic group because they are just seen as Arakanese, some claimed that they didn't get on well with the Arakanese so they were just "pushed". I could see them as part of Myanmar's ethic group as Arakan was formerly multiethnical.
      I just hope that the government could settle the situation with those people when the military junta ends.

    • @maddman9468
      @maddman9468 4 роки тому +6

      @Stark Industries The Military is not as strong as they were back then. They would need to rule the country via the party they founded (like in 2010-15) as the world has known about them.
      The Democratic government has made better development than the entire military regime in 5 years. This upcoming election is also kinda a bit of a problem because:
      1. It's during the pandemic and they can't postpone it (if they postpone, the military will be ranting about it)
      2. Instead of 2 major parties, there are now four (or three)
      3. There is a risk in developing ethnical tension against Bamar people.
      But the Democratic party has full support throughout it's history and it has won in all elections held.
      The main challenge of the democratic government is replacing the constitution written by the military. In the parliament, 25% of the seats are assigned to the military personnel (no matter what the government is), which makes the problem more difficult. In presidential election, the military "representative" elects one of the two vice-presidents. They would take a long time to remove the military out of the parliament and they can finally operate as a true government.
      Edit: So technically people will be voting for 75%, instead of all seats of the parliament. And since there has been cities being shut down from election due to conflicts by the military, the seats are lost from the 75%. So, if there isn't a landslide victory, the military will decide who would become the president and what the winning party is. It's up to the people to give the Democratic party a landslide victory.

      +Samuel Grant Julianda UN intervention would require a Security Council resolution, meaning that the permanent national members of the UN Security Council would have to support the intervention. There is no way Russia or China would support a military intervention there. Moreover, the US would not likely support one because the US currently fears that any intervention would just push Myanmar back towards the prior military regime and undermine the progress made via the election of NLD in Myanmar's legislature. It simply turns out that Daw Suu Kyi is falling far short of the hype and expectations.

      Did you know that in civilised countries (e.g. Thailand), they get rid of the insurgents, and not entire ethnic populations? They also don't go around burning villages to weed out insurgents. That's inhumane and a horribly inefficient tactic.
      Also, did you know that the Rohingyas aren't the only insurgent group in Myanmar? For a single country, Myanmar has more insurgent groups formed by its minorities than most other countries. See:
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_insurgent_groups_in_Myanmar
      The military junta has been oppressing all of them for decades. The difference is, the rest are citizens of Myanmar, while the Rohingyas have intentionally been prevented from being citizens.

      @@avanibacardi6042 Please re-read my comment. I said that *they became part of Myanmar because of the British* . Back then, British (as the colonialist) divided the region and included them as part of Myanmar, whereas clearly their ethnicity, physical appearance, etc. are more similar to Bangladesh. And FYI, Myanmar used ethnicity as the basic foundation of the nation, which is the Burmese (the majority ethnics) deemed as the national identity. That's why many other minority ethnicities felt like they're being ignored and wanted to separate. And this separatist act made the Myanmar military junta government becoming so hard and repressive toward them. But actually, the real root of the problem is that they're being ignored and lack of welfare.

Right now, and even after Myanmar got their independence, the group of rohingyas nor Bangladesh has nothing to do with Myanmar. They are never in the ethnic group of Myanmar. If the southeast Asian countries pity them so much, why most of the majority didn’t accept them? Malaysia did accept them and look what happened. The Myanmar government gave them equal rights when they entered, but later their behavior gets worse.

      Dzikrina Saira about the minority ethnic groups that you mentioned were being “ignored,” there is always the biggest event in Myanmar for al the ethnic groups to gather and have the most wonderful night, with the music of their culture, and their traditional foods to enjoy. That ceremony was always a huge thing every year. And I for sure would like to inform that there were no Rohingyas or Bangladesh for centuries even during the times where royalty exist in Burma.

      Kerbal Space Program youtuber 123 Why do you have to hate? As an atheist Turk having Muslim parents and some Christian and Jewish friends all I can say is that I love them and I respect all their religious beliefs. I understand your concerns about refugees and I had the similar ones when over 2 million Syrian refugees came to Turkey. But when you think about it, it's the fault of colonial powers of early 20th century. They left their colonies instantly after WWII, creating authority gaps which leads to formation of terrorist groups or violent behaviours to claim authority. Myanmar and Iraq was British colonies and Syria was a French colony. I am not saying that they wanted these things to happen when they left their colonies, but they could have done it in a better way by establishing governments in which their people can trust and by making this processes gradual rather than instant ones.
      For the rape situation, I am sorry that these things have happened and I can understand your feelings because I felt similarly when similar things have happened in Turkey. But I now know hatred is not the solution. We should punish rapists by our laws and give secular education to the innocent ones thus they can return to their countries in the future and make them better places. If you think they won't return to their countries consider this: did they want to come before war? Did they want to leave their homes, the places they grew up, the places they fell in love, the places they lived -by all meanings of the word?
      It's not about nationalities, not about religions, not about politics. It's about humanity. We MUST learn to love each other and respect each other, otherwise we will destroy each other. As Bertrand Russell said: Love is wise, hatred is foolish.
