This guy was something else to watch in college football. His highlights making people miss are still insane to watch. That Texas longhorn and USC rivalry championship game was one of the best football games I have ever seen! The whole season built up to that game between those two teams!
As a ND fan he should've never gotten it taken away but for them to double down on it for so long after SCOTUS basically told the NCAA that their NIL rules were unconstitutional is just disgraceful. I honestly hadn't even watched a Heisman ceremony since they took his trophy away. Now the NCAA also needs to do the right thing and give USC and Michigan basketball their wins back & as is said, this is coming from an ND fan who hates both those schools.
Snoop Dogg was right about this in the 30/30 documentary, "he should have never given it back, and should have said COME AND GET M'FER !!!!!" to the Mobsters/NCAA. 😂😅😮
Reggie was a combination of Earl Campbell and Barry Sanders combined and was a joy to watch. I would go out of way to stay up late to watch those USC games. Bush was a joy to watch.
I cannot wait to see that Nissan TV commercial where they welcome Reggie Bush into the Heisman house. It should be something where all of the Heisman winners welcome him into the house along with other key past winners, such as Johnny Manziel.
I would have stood in front of a fireplace with my trophy on the mantle, saying "if you want it, come get it." while I racked my shotgun. Ain't no way. So happy he got it back, now will the NCAA reinstate his records and USC's national title?
The ncaa are a bunch of crooks, punishing players for getting money for their autographs, and other memorabilia, when they are using the players to get millions upon millions
Wasn't it his parents who got the impermissible benefits? When are we getting the 30 scholarships back? And the lost chances to play in bowl games? And the forfeited victories? Never forgive the corrupt NCAA led by the criminal Paul Dee!
A head to head game Vince Young had a hundred and twenty yards more rushing than Reggie. And about two hundred and seventy yards more passing. But yes Reggie was the best player on the field and in the country.🤪
@scottworth6705 yea it wasn't even close tbh. Young was a great college qb but Reggie was one of the best college players ever. Young got exposed in the NFL.
It's about frickin time.... Unbelievable.... I agree with TJ 100%.... Trophy??? What Trophy.... Ohhh, the Heisman Trophy!!!! Ohhh yeah... Yeah, I was on this fishing trip out off of Marco Island, and we had a boating accident, and it sank in the Gulf.... Yeah.... Yeah, it's gone... I've been meaning to call you, can I get a replacement??????
GTF outta here. What Bush and family did had nothing to do with the football field. USC absolutely dominated. This is the first domino. All records and their national championship will be reinstated
So let’s get this straight all the bright collegiate minds decided that Reggie should get his trophy back, but they’re undecided about reinstating his stats that got him the trophy in the first place. What morons.
I'm sorry that "corporate" got involved! The guys that never work and have a good cushion seat that can talk a good gossip sitting down! Sorry that corporate Executives talk the talk but can't walk the walk! Kurupt lazy executives! Go corporate be lazy!
Let's not forget, he took money from an agent on the promise he would sign with that agent, then signed elsewhere and refused to return the money. I agree with the decision, but let's not pretend he's a great guy.
I don't agree with the decision. Those were the rules at the time. Many followed the rules. Taking money gave him an edge over other players. It made his life easier.
@@jimstevenson424 the rules were unconstitutional. Once something is deemed to be unconstitutional you cannot continue to punish that individual. If someone is put in prison because they broke a law but then that law is ruled to be unconstitutional they are let out of prison, that's how this works.
Nope, sorry this going to be unpopular, but it shouldn’t be returned. The rules, no matter how muck they suck are there for a reason it doesn’t matter if it different now, all the players on USC, that got benefits contributed to the success, if lesser players were there would Reggie still Win? Probably, but you just don’t know and what about the teams and players that played by the rules, it not fair on them.
If by unpopular, you mean “stupid” or “ridiculous”, you are correct. What you said is just that. To quote Thomas Jefferson, “If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so”.
@@jerodgraham6623 How do you use this comment for a rule that was not unjust? You cannot get benefits. I bet the lines I state as a non white is blk and white, rules and no rules. 1 side justifying bad behavior again.
So if I regularly get a speeding ticket on a certain road over the course of X many years, and then years later, they upgrade the speed to where I would not be speeding and getting a tickets do I get all my money back at the time I broke the law at the time he broke the law you should not get a trophy back. Sorry.
Consider the legalization of marijuana in some states. People that already served time can apply (or done automatically in some states) to have the conviction expunged. This means they have a clean record, which enables them to apply for financial aid (student loans) or eligible for jobs that they were previously barred from. By your reasoning, you'd rather they suffer the consequences until they die. Low level possession, never should have been a crime. There were ulterior motives wrt the 'war on drugs,' while the government allowed it to come into the US, as part of certain political schemes (e.g. Iran-Contra).
More of the lowering of standards in America. Bush broke the rules and should have been punished. Rules, Gruden was a great coach but lost his job for comments, bad comments, Why have any rules. Listen to Eisen justify, what BS.

I told my Uncle when OJ passed Reggie will get his Heisman back!! ✌🏾
It probably has more to do with the dismantling of the NCAA.
Perhaps both OJ AND the NCAA passing
About damn time 🏆

Absolutely
i'm a usc alum and i don't hate nd or ucla - just seems kinda silly to hate other schools, even if they are rivals.
from a life-long usc fan, props to you sir.
As a San Diegan who played against Reggie in high school. I had a huge smile when I saw this news. 619 Legend.

Reggie Bush deserves his Heisman trophy back. Fight on Trojans ✌️.
Nissan Heisman house commercial coming soon!...FIGHT ON REGGIE!
I was thinking the same thing. I wonder how they are gonna spin it?
The Heisman party is gonna be awesome. I hope he gets the red carpet at USC again.
About damn time
Rich's still reliving that prom incident 😂
Yes! He deserved to have that Heisman reinstated. Reggie was a beast and a good man. The NCAA needs to do the right thing and restore his records.
Fight On Reggie Bush!
We now want our wins back!!!
Bush was an absolute beast, glad he got back was rightfully his.
Finally! ❤

Very happy for Reggie, his family, friends and his school. Very nice to see the NCAA right a huge wrong.
This has nothing to do with the NCAA, who remain clueless.
The ncaa are a bunch of crooks, punishing players for getting money for their autographs, and other memorabilia, when they are using the players to get millions upon millions
Is Rich confusing the Heisman trophy with the hymen trophy...

Yes!!!!
I thought they handed it over to Vince Young. Young was denied twice.
The Nissan commercial will be Epic.
Fight On! Reggie!
Excellent. The 2005 Texas Longhorns can once again be the only team in NCAA football to defeat a team with 2 Heisman winners.
Wow everybody is celebrating. Said no one
Haha what a funny comment. Let me take a wild guess? Your a Texas fan?

ENORMOUS CHANGES
Now give back those wins back to USC. And them BCS Championship back too. Fight On!
Never happier to hear news of a wrong being righted. This man was on way to being the next Emmitt and got railroaded by the NCAA
So happy for him though I thought they would wait until he had one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel before reinstating it.
Where have you been the past 15 years?
What happened to Rich at prom? Can someone explain the joke?

All the top teams were doing it. Cam talked about it in Florida.

Nope.
He should have won back to back. Lienert never should have won over him.
Can a corporate executive collect from a man who really worked hard! You have writing you are perfect person corporate!

Was OJs Heisman Trophy vacated?
If they didn't do it after praising OJ, well, I guess I couldn't lose any more respect for them anyway. They still suck. Too little, too late.
