Good stuff man, really love that Works bronze on the white! I just picked up a very clean & stock GR STI, so your videos are very helpful for a up to date look on this chassis. Just about all the mods you mentioned here are all mods I intend on doing. I really want to keep it stock/stock+, so exhaust and wheel setup is going to be on hold for at least a few years. Reliability and comfort is more important to me, as much as those two can get for an STI LOL. Good call on the head unit, I was actually preparing to replace all the speakers, no subwoofer though, I would prefer the trunk space. Additionally, AOS is something I plan to do sooner rather than later, I'd rather invest in quality of life/car health mods before cosmetic and performance mods. I look forward to your future videos :)
Appreciate your feedback mate! Yeah definitely give the head unit a go first before you upgrade speakers and sub. You might find it's enough for you. AOS is definitely a good one and it's something I've considered but I'm selling the car soonish so it's probably not worth it at the moment.
Nice set up you have there. I used the legacy foot well lights in blue color to cut back on having too much red. Inserted led in the factory headlights and made my wing mirrors fold in with the remote fob when locking to doors. Am running just a cat back sofar for the sound. No tune . Keep the video comming
Get it tuned, 500 $/£ Instant 340bhp on an STI, cheapest and best mod. Rear ARB, stabilises handling, also cheap as chips. If the car is near 20 years old, the OEM shocks must be changed for something better, the old shocks will have you in a ditch. Another 500-800 but worth every penny.
Hey mate I forget where I got the overlays from but they're pretty common if you just Google 08-14 WRX tail light overlay. The led brake lights are from iJDMToy on ebay.
Glad I could help! Ive been dyno tuned to 180kW (250hp) at the wheels on 16psi boost with safe timing. Very fun for a daily driver, get a little more kick than stock
It's definitely something to consider and a great mod but I've never had any issues with blow by in this car so that's why it didn't make it to the top 5.
I currently don't have one and haven't had any issues with blow-by but an AOS is definitely a great mod and is worthy of a place for reliability mods! This list was more so aimed at getting enjoyment out of the vehicle
Poor choices in this video. BTW, I've owned 4 Imprezas over the past 25 years, including a 22B, and have been active across the Australian and UK forums. Best mods? Agree with exhaust and tune, sure. But handling mods are a great mod. Adjustable roll bars will transform the understeer, to a more neutral handling setup for those wanting their cars to handle that way. I should say, they are set up that way from factory deliberately, because that is easier for inexperienced drivers than oversteer, which I can understand. But for enthusiasts, they may want more from their cars, hence the ARB mods. We start to get a little more serious as we go along now. You might consider suspension now; there are all manner of systems out there, and I'd say have a look at KW or Bilstein. Braking? By all means have a look at AP. Intake is worth a look too, because it's cheap, and does help. This list is just a starters guide for a daily driver. You can do all sorts of things around how aggressive you want your tune to be (eg boost and ignition advance), and fuel systems like E85 can also be fun. Later on you can look at things like intercoolers, and getting a built engine, but appreciate this article is just for daily drivers, and so I'd say you want to keep it relatively mild, and not wild.
Yo boys this video low key blowing up for me 😅 Make sure you subscribe if you're enjoying the content! 😎
Nicest subaru I've seen for awhile
Thanks man, appreciate it! 😁

You called me out from the get go 😂😂😂
Glad I caught your attention! 😎
great video but i think a AOS i really more important than the exhaust system as the pcv system sucks. and will help with reliability.
AOS definitely another great mod for reliability!
If your planning on going on track with some sticky tyres then yes aos will help but if not your not going to need one for a daily driver
Just subscribed. I am new to the subie family so I am looking for new ideas. Your hatchback is ridiculously clean! I love it! I have a wagon as well.
Thanks for the support mate! Let me know any ideas you would like to see on the channel 🙂
9:50 where did you get that center console trim with the wrx label !
I bought carbon fibre wrap off eBay and 3D printed the WRX logo
Very informative video 👌🏽👍🏽 where is your front lip from?
Boosted performance parts
I have a Invida downpipe, full exhaust, Cobb cold air intake, and the accessport, what would you recommend for some more power ?
Upgraded Intercooler, Fuel pump, injectors, E85 flex fuel & Dyno tune 😎
Legend mate, do you have the link for the kartboy short shifter?
Hey mate wicked video where did you get the light overlays and the led brake lights from
Hey mate I forget where I got the overlays from but they're pretty common if you just Google 08-14 WRX tail light overlay. The led brake lights are from iJDMToy on ebay.
Love your content Lach.
Any chance you could please provide link to the headunit you went with?
Did you do the install you self?
Thanks mate! I'll grab the model info for you this afternoon. I installed it myself with the help of a few pre made wiring harnesses
kartboy can have problem with "revers" wire... there can be noise from it... better to add some extra rubber isolation on it before assembly...
Don't forget cold air intake and tune
where can i get that center console i like the wrx logo on it
It's a wrap my guy and the WRX logo is 3D printed
Can you link the double din head unit conversion kit?
I bought a subie for the rumble but turns out it's equal length headers 😂
Time for some unequal length headers 😎
Does this apply to the Levorg I wonder
What tune do you have? Awesome video though! Really helped me!
Glad I could help! Ive been dyno tuned to 180kW (250hp) at the wheels on 16psi boost with safe timing. Very fun for a daily driver, get a little more kick than stock
do you have a twin scroll turbo?? also unequal length headers?
Single and unequal
Full exhaust and a tune is a non negotiable must have. Stock tune is awful on a wrx.
What color headlight housing do you have ? Black or chrome ?
Black
what is the exact head unit that you have? also what is the phone holder you have in your vent?
I need this info too
all spt add ons on my 2006 sti. mileage at 141,000 . will it get to 300,000 miles ????
Where did you get the wrx carbon fiber around your shifter ?

Hi are the LED number plate lights and rear reflectors also from CT auto parts?
if you have the link for it thank you :)
Hey mate the number plate lights are just LED T10s from ebay and the rear reflector lights are from iJDMToy
Hey brother awesome video I wanted to ask you where did you get your head unit Carbon fiber trim and your shifter carbon fiber trim from thanks
Hey mate I wrapped it myself! Just with some crappy wrap I bought from eBay haha. Oh and the red WRX logo is 3D printed and glued on
@@00Lach wow it looks amazing thanks 👍
@@Texasfishingaddict Appreciate your support mate
those jorts are so gas, just like the hindenberg... don't get too crazy with it haha, ,,
Can you link your head unit
Do these mods work on the 2022 wex? Currently have one and dont know what mods transfer ovwe from the 2021 and older subies
Of course you will need different models of things to suit the shape of the vehicle but the mods as a whole definitely transfer to any WRX
@@00Lach thanks 😁
ty
May want to change that leaking intercooler.
Leaking you say?
@@00Lach yeah bro check out how black the fins look. Unless it was a shadow. But if it’s black definitely a sign it’s leaking
@@k9-unit-australia275 I'll be sure to give it a look over
How you not going to mention an AOS for a daily
It's definitely something to consider and a great mod but I've never had any issues with blow by in this car so that's why it didn't make it to the top 5.

My favourite mod is external waste gate😂
Ahaha yeah boi

I currently don't have one and haven't had any issues with blow-by but an AOS is definitely a great mod and is worthy of a place for reliability mods! This list was more so aimed at getting enjoyment out of the vehicle
Just bought a 02 wrx wagon for 3k Aussie dollars or 5 cents usd😂

Just watched it again. Definitely looks leaky in the top left hand corner.
