Mr Fiorentini is the real deal. What an interesting character. Not only in personality and charm but i love his style. I would imagine the leather trim around the collar and sleeves are patches for frayed edges of a well loved coat. You can’t buy that patina.
I love the little suede details at the collar back and sleeve ending of the owners suit jacket. I found a shirt with details like this once and it’s been one of my favorites. The suede gives a nice smooth and soft landing in all your high tough areas.
What a beautiful and peaceful place. The History about the war is sure interesting and the ammunition that did not explode, how lucky. Nice video, Kirby, Jeff
Kirby, My wife and I spent a couple of weeks in Italy this past June and stayed at a similar family owned house in Siena. Magical place. We both enjoyed watching your video and plan on staying at this Tuscan castle during our next trip. Thank you for yet another highly entertaining and educational video. Cheers! Sean
Kirby you have such a Sincere interest in the world around you that it seems to draw people out; I noticed it years ago in your Bespoke videos in London : People Trust you. 😺😺😺
Would love to see some behind the scenes stuff. What your production team is capable of doing is astounding, and I'm sure a lot of us would be happy to see them at work. Show em some love!
Hi Kirby, I wanted to send you my best wishes for the New York Super Trunk Show. I know you've been working hard on this event, and I'm sure it's going to be a huge success. I hope everything goes smoothly and you have a wonderful time. Best, Dave
it's been a little while since i checked out kirby's channel. i remember those videos he made in scotland where he went shooting. glad to see he's moving beyond just london and paris. he should collaborate with jordan schlansky when in italy too.
In 1977 I had the distinct pleasure of visiting a wool fabric manufacturer in Novara. Exquisite fabric which retailed for $100/meter in 1977. I wonder if they are still in business
Who on earth decided that driving around in a classic German car (however good that car might be) created the right image and atmosphere for ‘Discovering Italy’. What’s wrong with a classic Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo (especially) or even Fiat. Answer anyone.
What’s your opinion on using machine AMF pick stitching for made-to-measure suits? Should this detail be reserved for bespoke and hand-made suits, or is it acceptable for made-to-measure as well to have the machine version?
Hello, Benedetto here. If I remember well it was a hunting jacket from John Ashfield's Field & Stream line, which is discontinued. Nothing particularly expensive or elaborate, but still effective.
It is unbelievable that in the 21st century bestiality still prevails, believing in sport hunting as synonymous with elegance. Elegance as an excuse for a vain, vulgar, perverse and sadistic ego... Tuscany is much more than that! It is the simple beauty of seeing nature, flora and fauna, portrayed in typical foods; vibrant and ancient culture; and people with genuinely Italian experiences and joy.
In my experience, real style in Italy ends above Rome. Sure, one does get rarer and rarer glimpses as one goes south. Houses become more dilapidated on the outside but, quite often, one goes inside and sees an opulence of gold, gold, and more gold with glimpses of pure white. Not to my taste. I know it’s a reflection of British reserve but I tend to cringe when an adjective is applied to the word friend. For us….more senior… British the addition of “good”, “dear”, “close” does imply connotations perhaps somewhat more physical than friendship. The same logic can be applied to “best friend” and particularly those who have claim to have many “best friends” - surely an impossibility to have more than one highest rank? I take my tongue out of my cheek somewhat and continue to enjoy quality, craftsmanship and tradition……
@@fosterbuster2840 thank you for your advice. We have, indeed, spent some time in Naples. I would say that it shares its depth of history with many, or most, cities that border the Mediterranean. I can’t say that Naples would figure in our personal favourites of cities for, whilst it has its delights, they are not always to our taste. For some, including us, the time spent in Pompeii was a delight and a reason to revisit
This is like watching a history Channel movie .simply amazing
It's like a professional tv doc, pretty wild
"My-a goood friend-a, Keeeerby." I love Italy!

The entire time I just kept thinking about Dick Van Dyke. His style was unlike anything I had ever seen. And such a zest for life.
How exciting. One of my favorite places.
I moved to live in Pisa 1 year ago and can say for sure that Tuscany is one of the best places in the world. Like Heaven on the Earth.
This is like the fashion collaboration with the history Channel that I wish existed. LOVE IT
Oh what a pleasant surprise! I wasn't sure if we were to get more episodes of your tour of Italy.
We are just getting started on this series!
Wow, the production value is next level! Congratulations! 👏
One of our fav places for destination weddings in Tuscany: rich history and incredible owners ❤
Thanks keep up the good work, to bringing us the finer things in life!
Kirby.....you are curating an incredible body of work. Congrats.

Relaxing video. The nature is so beautiful.
Watching this video in pyjama eating a bag of chips. Life is good.
Watching this video in Budd Stripe pyjama and silk dressing gown, enjoying a glass of Hennessy Cognac. Life is good.

Beautiful as always Kirby!
incredible what you are accomplishing with these videos!
Now on my list!!
Phenomenal production.
Kirby you have such a Sincere interest in the world around you that it seems to draw people out; I noticed it years ago in your Bespoke videos in London : People Trust you. 😺😺😺
Could listen to the older gentleman speak about his family all day. He'd be an interesting guy to have dinner with followed by a cigar.
A very charming and gracious and host.

Nicely done! You should do places in Asia, would love to get your perspective since you put things in a easy to understand and fun manner
Working on this for next year
Keeping tradition and places while being an industrialized country; very interesting

Very impressive Kirby...nicely done 😎
Excellent Kirby
Amazing episode!
Tuscany is probably #1 warm weather destination on the bucket list, what an incredible history, landscape and culture!
Don Andrea exudes sprezzatura!
What an incredible place. We actually just got married here!

@KirbyAlison, good idea to take the Merc. An Alfa wouldn't have made it there. I speak from experience. I have a 380SL Roadster and an Alfa Gulia.
In 1977 I had the distinct pleasure of visiting a wool fabric manufacturer in Novara. Exquisite fabric which retailed for $100/meter in 1977. I wonder if they are still in business
What a good video
Love and respect from 🇮🇳 🇮🇳 india brother...
just remember Jerry, the maestro said there are no home for sale in Tuscany lol :)
questa è classe
Next time, take us with you... :)

Even better, a vintage Lancia...
Tuscany is an amazing place, outside tourist season and always funny most Americans who visit don't speak one word Italian ... 🤨
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You should have taken Jordan Schlansky. America’s most renowned expert on all things Italian

Fuck yeah Kirby!
Emencibly privileged. You don't say!
Nice film, however i would have taken an alfa spyder .
Anyone have information on the coat worn by Mr Benedetto Fiorentini? It looks very interesting.

Is this guy Alfalfa from the little rascals?
God. I love cosplay
Where are the saville row suit videos?
Plenty around on the channel. Have you watched them all?
@@kirbyallison please make more of them from huntsman in the UK and from Anderson and Sheppard in the UK
Man is not smoking any Toscanos in this?!?!?!
It is good to be wealthy

I think Kirby needs to move to Europe 🥂🥃🍽 👔👞🚬
I just want to know why you never brought out the Dominican Republic’s videos.
Someone wasn’t paying enough or someone paid too much 🤔💬
I like his suit but not his Swatch/Speedy collaboration piece of horolagical garbage.

I advise you to do some study on the city of Naples, its immense history, one of the oldest cities in Europe.

That is so true 100%
Should have filmed the wine and cigar session as well.🍷🍷
So you are in Italy and a German car was your perfect choice of an automobile??? How does this come close to making sense?
Nobody offered the Ferrari. But I’m happy to borrow your’s next time! 😅😜
After watching I completely understand.
Speak English, kiss French, drive German, dress Italian
