Vernon - Vernon mastered 2 styles of rap. He mastered the West coast underground rap style and Houston stab music. The typical western rap suits him. MIngyu - maybe for those who don't know about rap, Mingyu's rap doesn't sound special. But actually, he is good at a typical casual rap called G-Funk. Most kpop idols master the G-funk rap style. Wonwoo -Wonwoo mastered the Boom rap style. Boom rap relies heavily on the bass sound and seems "heavy". Performance Team : Hoshi - Hoshi mastered Freestyle modern dance & Tuttin dance. The8- It's clear that since childhood The8 mastered breakin 'dance. However, as a trainee, he also mastered Wave dance. Dino - Dino is a specialist in Poppin and Lockin dance. Jun - Jun is a member who masters 3 types of dance. Traditional, Modern & Martial art dance. He combines the three of them in his performance. Vocal team : DK - DK is a Light Tenor singer. His voice is powerful, but he doesn't master many techniques. Vocal range G2 - Bb4 3 octav. Woozi - Woozi, a light tenor singer. His voice is soft yet distinctive. Woozi Range E3-E5. Seungkwan - Seungkwan singer Courtertenor. he can sing above the regular tenor type. He also mastered many techniques, ballad types. range E4. Jeonghan - Jeonghan is the "weakest" singer in the vocal team. But over time, his abilities increased. The range is G4 - Bb4 Falsetto. (light tenor) Joshua - Joshua is a typical "rare" singer in kpop. He is a natural tenor tessitura singer. The range is C3 - B4. Why is he rare? Because Joshua's voice is soft but Mixed Courtertenor and Bass.

That is why, even though there are 13 members, for carats each of them is so important and Seventeen wouldn't be seventeen without one of them (and it is so clear when someone is missing). Seventeen is an example for a group that doesn't ignore b-tracks, in fact many of their b-tracks are title track material like our dawn is hotter than day, mymy, getting closer, hit, and so on. They really can't stop produce amazing songs, they are just incredible 😭❤️ you can never be bored with seventeen really, they're always trying and using so many different genres for their songs and i've been a fan for 4 years and i can't stan any group beside them, they are THAT amazing 😭❤️

man, i wish SVT would do smth like this again where they release MVs for each unit. I love whole group stuff but it's nice to see them in smaller units so every member gets a decent amount of spotlight since kpop companies/groups dont want to make songs more than 4 mins long lmaoo. As someone who has a bias towards the performance unit members, seeing them get their own MVs where Jun and Minghao (and Chan cuz he's my bias so I'll always like it when he's on screen haha) get to shine - though Minghao does seem to be getting a lot more spotlight recently compared to back then, which is great.

I’ve been dancing for 9 years now and it took me forever to learn Lilly Yabbay. It is such a complicated dance that I had bruises on my knees for 3 weeks. Was it difficult? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
Lilili yabbay is a masterpiece, they did it so amazing, and it's mind blowing 😭You should definitely check other performance's team songs! Like highlight for example! Hoshi actually does a solo performance where the choreography is intentionally androgynous called Touch. He talked about how he went to female dancers to help choreograph it. You don't have to do a whole reaction to it, especially since all the clips of it are just fancams and there's no high quality version, but you may enjoy just watching it by yourself!

i almost never see people talking about wonwoo's trauma verse!! i absolutely adore the way it starts off subdued in his lower register, then the higher, more passionate double gradually comes in. then they run parallel until the lower one fades away, such a great transition into the rest of the verse. combined with the echoing that goes on through the whole verse + the lyrics, it's just incredible in terms of symbolism as well as the auditory effect. so good!!
pinwheel was written after woozi had a dream of a pinwheel in a field. absolutely beautiful, the lyrics are pretty too! if you heard woozi sing THAT line in concerts you would have cried :")
First and foremost, thank you for doing this reaction, Jeff. I really like people watching SEVENTEEN per unit because it gives each member the attention they deserve. *Hip-Hop Team* I love the rapping and rap writing style of *Vernon* too. Or maybe because he is a lot more understandable for my international Carat ears. *Vocal Team* _Pinwheel_ is one of my all-time favorite #SEVENTEEN songs. It's so subtle, so calming. *Seok Min* and *Seung Kwan* are a whole new level of main vocals, especially when they do hardcore choreos. My appreciation for their vocals would reach an all-time high whenever I hear other groups covering an SVT song, and they don't quite get the kind of range and stability that DK and SK have _(though I appreciate other groups covering an SVT song)_ . *Performance Team* My favorite SVT unit. I am not saying that the rest are lacking, but I always think that this unit is the most versatile and eager to showcase more. SEVENTEEN is known as kings of synchronization and, I think it's because they have *Jun* , *Hoshi* , *The8* , and *Dino* as the core of it.
The 'wrench' movements were actually supposed to be them acting as if they were moving the camera (in the MV, the camera rotates and follows along with Dino's hand movements). The camerawork actually compliments the Lilili Yabbay choreo so well and adds an extra punch to a lot of sections :D

I totally agree about the ballads. Seventeen (Pinwheel!), Infinite l (One Day), Beast/Highlight (On Rainy Days), DBSK ot5 (Why Did I Fall In Love With You), and FT Island (Wind like omg that sonf and the vocals) have the best ballad discography of kpop. Apink is really strong too but I would love to hear them delve deeper into songs like Pinwheel.

If you watching seventeen without dance performance, you should check out their lyrics. In trauma, it gave me goosebumps everytime I hear it because of their lyrics. Their wrote their own lyrics and it's from their own trauma. So that's why it hit so much! For pinwheel, woozi wrote the lyrics from his dream. That has amazing lyrics as well. And of course we should shout out to performance unit as well!
The Vocal Unit have a song called Don't Listen In Secret, which the Hiphop Unit has covered, and another song called Habit, which the Performance Unit has covered. The vocal unit has also covered Un Haeng Il Chi, a song originally by the Hiphop Unit. So you might wanna check out the originals and then the covers by the other members, it really shows their versatility

The harmony on Wonwoo's rap part was from his voice. He recorded it all and were arranged together to create the harmony.

Hoshi actually does a solo performance where the choreography is intentionally androgynous called Touch. He talked about how he went to female dancers to help choreograph it. You don't have to do a whole reaction to it, especially since all the clips of it are just fancams and there's no high quality version, but you may enjoy just watching it by yourself!

i almost never see people talking about wonwoo's trauma verse!! i absolutely adore the way it starts off subdued in his lower register, then the higher, more passionate double gradually comes in. then they run parallel until the lower one fades away, such a great transition into the rest of the verse. combined with the echoing that goes on through the whole verse + the lyrics, it's just incredible in terms of symbolism as well as the auditory effect. so good!!

_Pinwheel_ is one of my all-time favorite #SEVENTEEN songs. It's so subtle, so calming. *Seok Min* and *Seung Kwan* are a whole new level of main vocals, especially when they do hardcore choreos. My appreciation for their vocals would reach an all-time high whenever I hear other groups covering an SVT song, and they don't quite get the kind of range and stability that DK and SK have _(though I appreciate other groups covering an SVT song)_ .

My favorite SVT unit. I am not saying that the rest are lacking, but I always think that this unit is the most versatile and eager to showcase more. SEVENTEEN is known as kings of synchronization and, I think it's because they have *Jun* , *Hoshi* , *The8* , and *Dino* as the core of it.

The 'wrench' movements were actually supposed to be them acting as if they were moving the camera (in the MV, the camera rotates and follows along with Dino's hand movements). The camerawork actually compliments the Lilili Yabbay choreo so well and adds an extra punch to a lot of sections :D

If you watching seventeen without dance performance, you should check out their lyrics. In trauma, it gave me goosebumps everytime I hear it because of their lyrics. Their wrote their own lyrics and it's from their own trauma. So that's why it hit so much!
For pinwheel, woozi wrote the lyrics from his dream. That has amazing lyrics as well.

The vocal unit has also covered Un Haeng Il Chi, a song originally by the Hiphop Unit. So you might wanna check out the originals and then the covers by the other members, it really shows their versatility
