Your brother really loves your cooking. He can hardly wait for you to finish the dish so he can dig in. Very good together. Please thank him for his service.
Thank you Natalia for watching! I will let him know!
Ikr bless him 🌹
I first saw this video a few weeks ago and finally made it and it was SO tasty! While it was on the stove top I added in a small can of no salt RoTel tomatoes w/green chiles and also a diced up jalapeno b/c I like it a little spicier. I had some of it on top of spaghetti squash, dipped in some celery sticks and scooped even more up with a spoon haha. SO GOOD. Now I am ridiculously full. I will have more restraint next time. I think. I was surprised at how much it made as well. Thank you for this recipe!
I’m slowly transitioning into a plant base diet so your videos are super helpful. 😊
I just made the queso cheese sauce. Yummy! I wish I had the ingredients for the salsa. Hope your brother is doing well. Many thanks to him for his service.
You two make a great team! Wonderful channel, so many amazing recipes. Posting ingredients below is super helpful too!
You two are so adorable together! I love how enthusiastic your brother is. Thank you for your service ❤️
Your brother being genuinely surprised that it was good on everything was cute! 😁
You gotta blend it longer! It works! Takes about 5 minutes. All of a sudden you’ll hear a difference and the sauce won’t be coming up the sides of the blender so far. I do mine on high power (7-8) .. I make this all the time, very similar to Jill McKeevers recipe.
I'll try again, I'm making it today for a cookout! Love Jill, I actually got this original recipe from her! So many amazing recipes!
Hi Brittney, I just finished making this ,WOW,it is to die for. Thank you for all your wonderful recipes. I love your show. Betty from Nova Scotia, canada
First - totally love your channel! Second - your recipe for the cheese sauce inspired me to use that as a base adding Kite Hill jalapeño cream cheese and a bit of our favorite salsa. Delicious!!! Thank you so much for all you do! 💖
Loved watching you and your brother. Thank Him for his service. Love the dishes you made
Yum! Those recipes look so so good! I just love you and your brother cooking together 💕
Thanks Gwen!!
I agree! Been vegan for years and still learning how to make the sauces etc.. it so makes or breaks the meal! I’m no fat too which is an extra challenge. Thanks for your recipes!
Been making the plant based cheese sauce for the past year and the family loves it but now adding home made salsa brings on an entire new game to dinner and snack. Thank you for putting these wonderful healthy ideas out here for us. Oh and your brother is
great! Nice addition to your videos. Thanks again for sharing your journey.
Amazing! Can’t wait to try this! Thanks, Brittany! Your recipes are awesome!
I made the sauce and loved it! Thanks!
Thank your brother for his service !!
I love this cheese sauce! I make the summer salsa and put these together over steamed potatoes for a fantastic meal!
Yum! I am making this today with some jalapeños added! Thank you for your wonderful recipes..
Love this! You actually don’t really need the cornstarch. I’ve made it without and it thickens just fine.
T B agreed. I find the oats make it firm up a lot.
Fun video! I really liked the idea of using it on the potato wedges - I'm going to try it with some added beans (refried or black) to make it kind of a nacho potato bowl!
Looks so good!
Great show guys! Love that you also use Sari Foods nutritional yeast! It is truly the best. 🤗
Thanks so much! I adore that nutritional yeast, my all time favorite.
instablaster...
Love you cooking together! Your brother is very funny and your recipes look delicious!
your recipes are awsom!
Thank you sharing all your recipes. I made the fat free cheese in my vitamix and it does thicken. I have to heat on stove. I'm starting my business in Texas so when money comes in I will be join your members channel soon
I am going to make this today!
I love how your brother kept wanting to stir the dishes and you kept taking over, ha! That was so my brother and I.
Linda S hahaha yup!
Looks delicious! I'm going to try this! Love the ideas!
Let me know if you like it!
I will !
So I tried making the cheese sauce on from Jill McKeever and other wonderful vegan vloggers, and I really did not like it at all. I think some of us have to ease into the yeast world. However, I tried your HNTD recipe, with the addition of the summer salsa, and I also went a little easy on the yeast and I loved it. (The first version I made also had some lemon juice or something else you did not add) SO SO much happier with this version. Also very nice on the side with rice and beans for a work lunch. Thanks so much, really enjoying your videos and journey!
Hello Brittany, have you got a recipe book yet? I think if I had all your recipes in a book, I could stick to a plant based diet, your recipes look awesome and tasty 😁💗
Always good!!
My Vita mix has a setting that you put it on and it does get hot and you can actually see steam when your making soup. My older one would get really hot too.I love your channel!
That looks delicious! 🌺
I heat it in the vitamix by letting it run for 5 min. Exactly at 5 min. the sound always changes too.
Great video! Looks so good. :)
Thanks Rory!!
Love chunky salsa thanks guys.
Thanks for watching!!
Can’t wait to try the cheese sauce, never seen it made with oats.
Love your videos! Keep up the good work. Weird question though: what is that beep in the background I keep hearing in your recent videos? It is a bit distracting 😂
Great video and recipe! Thank your brother for his service, for me; my son-in-law has been an officer in the Army for awhile now, and a few years ago (around when I had started my UA-cam channel in 2015) he had adopted a WFPB lifestyle. He has realized great results and benefits...in a profession where physical fitness is incredibly important, he has improved his physical fitness test score and overall health and well-being. Maintaining this lifestyle in military, he has told me, can be a bit challenging at times...he is an Active Duty National Guardsman that works in an armory near his home, but for the last 2 years he had to spend some time in South Korea. He has also deployed to Kuwait and Afghanistan for a year each; he has told me that, while away, it is more difficult to control what he eats because military chow hall lines are filled with many meat and dairy options. I wonder if your brother has had similar experiences with food options/availability in the military? I know Memorial Day is for honoring particularly fallen servicemembers, but still know I appreciate your brother's service. Thank you! Keep on making these great videos!
Thanks so much for watching!! I will let my brother know. He has said when he had to go to training it was hard to stay plant based healthy. Who knows though maybe the military will pick up that this is the way to eat and feed those who are serving.
Great recipe. Out of all of your cheese sauces, which is the one that you prefer most?
Hi what could i use instead of the rolled oats to make it taste good?
Hi would i be able to use organic oat groats instead
Looks delicious
Can you do a cook with me on the oil free hash browns.
Sure thing, I can do a how to cook oil free video for a few items! Great idea!
Ohhh thats such a fab idea 🌹
Do you know of a gluten free substitute for the oats? This looks delicious and I would love to make it. ❤️ 🧀
How do you cook the spaghetti squash in the microwave?
Is it best served warm or can you bring it to a party cold?
You just need to let it go longer in your Vitamix. It takes about 4 minutes and you will hear the difference in the blender and see the difference that it is not rising up in the blender as much. That is when it is done. You don't have to put it on the stove.
I found that you gave to put the vitamix on high and then it thickens up
HI could i use something else instead of corn starch could i use arrow root powder would that work? could i use steel cut oats instead?
I don't think steel cut oats would work well-- you want to add body to the sauce and the rolled oats work well for that. I think steel cut oats would maintain their form and not incorporate well. Are you allergic to corn? If not, from a health standpoint, I suggest buying organic corn starch. Most corn grown in the US is GMO. Good luck with the recipe. I find it to be super tasty.
hahahaha !! Brother over stuffed a little. oh that looks so darn good. I am hungry where's MyPlate ??
Do you mean a full 1/4 cup
Of onion powder? I’m about to make this but I only have white onions
It’s 1/4 cup of onion. I use powder, about a tbs but start with less and add to taste 😊
1/4 cup onion powder?
I can’t find roasted red peppers in a jar anywhere. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. Where do you get yours?
Walmart has it “roasted red peppers”

Hi you should cook the oats first humans should never eat raw grains except corn good video
These ideas are so genius, I seriously think I will try all three this coming week. I'm only sad I can't eat them right now through my laptop screen. 😂
Double congrats to your brother: 1. For graduating. 2. For at least considering the whole foods, plant based lifestyle. Yay!
Everything looked delicious. I guess it really was, judging from the big bites your brother was taking. Lol.
Those hashbrowns looked too good to be true. Are they a frozen brand?
Thanks for watching!! - I had no leftovers so I know he wasn't just being polite haha - Yes the hash browns are from the store frozen (I found a brand that only has one ingredient: potatoes).
I know im so proud aha 🌹
Animal fries !! yum !!
woah! fingers in mouth, wash hands!
he looks like a young dr greger :)))
People should start using spatulas more to get all the goodie, not a whisk. I used spatulas even going to a plant-based to get all that I thought was good ingredients.
Add some apple cider vinegar to get a sharp taste
I'm a big fan of ketchup . But I know It has a lot of salt . Do you have a recipe to make your own ketchup
Great idea! Might have to do that one soon!!
You have to let your vitamix run for five minutes to get a nice hot thick cheese!
Is your brother vegan now?
I did everything as recipe stated (vitamix & stove) my sauce is very runny. I'm SO let down. What might it be?
Oh no Misty! Did you add the corn starch?
The Jaroudi Family yes I double checked measurements before starting. After I posted I put back in vitamix and still didnt do.
How long did you stir it on the stove? It does take a bit of time to start coming as a thick sauce.
The Jaroudi Family was 8 minutes in blender, 10 on stove and another 5 in blender.
That is so weird... I've never had it not work.. Usually I just blend everything till smooth, and then transfer to the stove top and whisk till it gets thick.
Cornstarch = whole food??
João Peneda it’s only 2 tbsp so I personally don’t feel bad about using it.
Could you substitute for arrowroot powder instead? Has the same binding properties and is more "whole" than any starch out there. Just an idea ;)
@@joaopeneda yes. Could use arrowroot instead
why dont you add any carrots or potatos into your cheese sauce? ever thought of using arrowroot instead of corn starch ?
