- Just Me, MySelf, and My $1,500 Bass Boat Restoration enjoying some quality time on the water. Testing out the Mercury 90HP and the Motorguide Xi5 - 6 hours on the Water No Catches or Fish in the boat but damn is it good to get the boat out in the water! All the Troubleshooting was figured out and thats all i could ask for. We are one step closer to completing the Bass Boat 2004 Bass Tracker Pro Team 185.

Trim down a little bit when the bow is raising on you like that and it'll bring the bow back down. I always start with trim all the way down on take off and trim up as the bow begins to dig with the speed increase 👍
Thanks for the tip! The river is so shallow, I got somewhat nervous clipping a downed tree branch. But out here in FL she’s cooking on plane now

another thing to check is the flotation foam it may be water logged and loading the stern full of water you can't get rid of that would certainly explain the tendency to want to wheelie and ride bow super high

Haven't had much luck in Florida with it - NJ they were crushing that FILTHY
Just got myself a restoration boat. 1500$ also. It’s. 1989 skeeter sd125 with a Johnson v4 120. Overall in good shape have carpet seats and other odds and ends on the way. Got luck a buddy’s dad was the owner the last 13 years.
Can’t beat restoring ! Some better than the new boats!

How did the foam work out? Review the Eva foam
motor all the way down til it gets on plane then trim up only as far as you need to till you hear the motor speed up a bit and start gaining speed

How is the eva foam lasting ?
I really hope you fixed that wiring and secured that battery since this video was filmed. That's a fire waiting to happen. Where in NJ are you by chance? I live in Staten island and fish in and around Lake Hopatcong a lot. It's a nice boat bro, but you NEED to fix those issues in that back bilge area.

that boat should hit 50/55 mph all day long minimum
Not with a 50. I have one. It hits 36 most of the time. 38 with the wind and current.
