Raid Leaders: there's an "Alternate Power" display on Details! which shows the total of Torment gained by each player during the encounter. This display is useful to know who is not doing the mechanic.
You missed a couple of things in your explanation. Both aoes are channeled for 15 secs. Everyone will know exactly when each boss is going to do it's respective aoe because each boss has an energy bar, that when filled, will cast their aoe, draining their energy. Both bosses can be, and should be tanked loosely side-by-side for maximum output from dps and simply pulled away from one another when specifically Atrigan is about to cast Bone Saw. The tank should pull Atrigan away around 75-80 energy, then kite him around the opposite edge of the room from the rest of the raid. Belac's aoe is just a case of "don't stand in fire" which is shown as a green cirlce around him. Other than that, great job on getting a good looking video out as usual. I too also had horrible video capture problems.
I like hearing about these extra things but you usually have to go on a reddit hunt or something for more information, which always helps for the harder fights. Even though what you listed isnt really unatainable to find out yourself it would be better to do do another short video with these niche facts or throw in a few at the end so players who aren't used to raiding dont get overwhelmed if they used this guide.
I love y'alls videos they help people like me who are not lucky enough to join a guild that lasts longer then 4-5 months.. thanks for all you do and keep up the grate videos
hi fatboss tv, i found a great trick that help healer not to deal with despelling echoing anguish is when a player get the debuff pretty much let that player with debuff teleport to cage which causes the debuff to be removed from him and get back out and dps the boss . this trick works 100% so try it and the your healers will thank u :)
So, something I learned from running this is that the Anguish debuff can be removed by just going into the cage. If you do this, the debuff dispells as you enter the cage up in the air, so it won't hit anyone as long as they don't enter at the same exact time as the dispel ability doesn't appear to have a large vertical axis.
A great way to record this without tearing your computer a new one is to use a standalone recorder like Odyssey or VideoDevices or Atmos Shogun, and loop the HDMI feed to the monitor through it. No extra load on the CPU and reliable recording in ProRes / DnXHD or MP4 if you have some reason to want bad quality.
Concerning the add in the cage, I noticed in normal-- meaning this should be applicable in heroic and possibly mythic-- a blood DK can solo it and stay there entirely, because not only do they have the self sustain, AMS can block further applications of that DoT. I find that around the seven second mark (give or take) of that debuff is the best time to pop it. By the time the add casts it again, you should have no stacks. Again I only did this on normal; legendary cape might help with preventing additional applications of the DoT. Try it out and see what you guys get :)
I did this on Tuesday and its works for Heroic aswell! the legendary cape helps A LOT as the AMS will save you from getting more stacks. only messed up once and got to 17 stacks but still managed to clear them with AMS. Popping Vampiric blood first then AMS also helps a lot. doing this fight with a Blood DK makes is extremely easy for tanks lol.
well the problem is the tank that is outside cuz he will get high torment at some point and he needs to go in so having a blood dk there all the time isnt gonna work
I solo'd the cage as well for our Heroic kill. As a Blood DK, I was able to use the Legendary cloak to increase AMS duration to 10 seconds and I ran with the talents Anti-Magic Barrier, Red Thirst and Foul Bulwark. The reason you want the Legendary cloak is because the debuff lasts for 12 seconds and is reapplied every 6 seconds and AMS only lasts 5 seconds without the cloak. The strat revolves around getting 10 stacks of Boneshield to increase your Max HP, then pop Vampiric Blood followed by AMS. This will increase your Max HP to the maximum amount possible thus increasing the amount your AMS can absorb to a huge amount which will then allow the debuff to fall off and reset. It takes about 8 stacks before you get your AMS back on it's 1 minute cooldown and with Red Thirst (and belt Legendary if you have it) you can get your Vampiric Blood back before AMS is ready. My AMS absorbs 6 Million damage with all these CDs up as you can see here imgur.com/a/Yas9V
Yes as Jacob Cross stated, this is assuming you're using the 3 tanking strat. What this does is it lets everyone else in your raid come and go as they please to clear their torment. No need to keep any DPS or healers in there since Blood DKs can heal themselves through all the damage easily.
Something you should have mentioned is that Atrigan's melee hits hit for absurd amounts. My raid is on the heroic version, and the tanks, me being one of them, keep getting randomly screwed over by failing to parry or dodge 2-3 hits at a time, resulting in a large amount of damage taken. He also seems to be inconsistently hitting between 3 million and 5 million damage before mitigation.
we did this totally different. we used three tanks and had a tank in at all times. no healer. but we used the button to get rid of crappy mechanics. since it doesn't trigger the damage like dispelling does.
May I add that sometimes Hunter's pets will glitch; they will run back and forth to you and the bosses after the first time you go out of the cage. This does not happen all the time. My best fix for this is to dismiss your pets if you can before going into the cage and calling them back once you are out of the cage. This has worked for me, I'm not sure what others have done. I'm not sure if there's going to be a hot fix for this yet.
When I was pugging this boss we encountered an enrage thing called unbridled torment which granted every player near atrigan 100 torment per second basically forcing us all inside. I have no idea about it as nowhere mentions it
Y guys are the reason I raid , and the reason I try to always be better , achieving my dreams , be able to raid with y guys. Want t meet Alex and esp Loz cause he is my senpai ( I believe he is a high skilled capped and with experience player in this game in particular raid theorycrafting ) . I d like to meet Alex probably cause e w are around the same age and he is very funny :P
Unfortunately this guide is based on having a larger raid size where healers can handle the raid healing while others cycle in and out. My group was able to kill it on Heroic tonight with 13, but we had 3 healers that cycled many times while the tanks swapped only when bonesaw was going on. This was less than ideal but all we could do.
Is there any specific place that you end up landing when you come up from the bottom? We've been having people get killed coming up randomly by their spells.
Frost mage is so fucked in this fight if he even slightly misstimes his Orb, even if the Frozen Orb is cast before the AOE abilities of the boss, each tick gives torment
I love it, at the end, "That's all there is to this encounter." Right... Because it was so simple.

NO ONE EXPECTS THE DEMONIC INQUISITION
Bryce Chapman i knew someone would have made this comment.
Thanks for doing the drawing to explain the more complicated mechanics and positioning. Really helpful. =)
thank you so much for posting how to do these fights. I currently wiped 2 times on normal difficulty because we all didn't know what to do.
I love y'alls videos they help people like me who are not lucky enough to join a guild that lasts longer then 4-5 months.. thanks for all you do and keep up the grate videos
Thanks for posting this. I wouldn't have gotten through the fight without it. :)
Great Guide to this fight! Was missing a few things on Normal now I have them.
as always man thanks for making this kind of guides
Something the video didn't mention:
The abilities Calcifying Quills (knockup wave) and Suffocating Dark (purple void zones) are Heroic only abilities.
Maarten Tops thx, I was wondering what the diff in difficulties was

Great and informative as always. Keep it up :)

What I'm suggesting is assuming a 3 tank strategy

It's gonna be fun to do this in LFR

we used three tanks for this one, worked like a charm
Blizz is savage making this the second fight.
It can technically be done as late as 6th though
These guides are what keep me going during raid releases 😅👌

thankfully, staying long enough in the cage with the whole raid resets the encounter

3 tank make life easy blood or dh solo in cage no healer
My group just picked a designation dispelling area and everyone just took a lock portal to the spot
BONE SAW IS READY
What addons do you have to have your Raid frames like how the mage POV is at the beginning?

If you have debuff and you trigger extra action buttons it deals dmg to the raid if they are bellow the caster?
What's the UI they use I've been looking all over for it
could you please tell me the exact song? I'd like to listen to it but there's a lot on monstercat generally.
Yeah, good luck pugging this fight LOL
what interface does the mage use
7:00 "During this time if you do attack Belac you get additional torment" - fatboss attacking him while he channels it, kappa.
What's the wa on the hunter?
My recount disappears when combat starts. How can I get it to show data all the time?
MORE ANIMATIONS!
This is probably the most idiot proof way to teach the boss to us!
Sparrow371 Hear, hear! Really like them, very obvious what you're trying to say
As a Guardian druid this is horrible. I gained torment so much faster than my mate on his brewmaster.
Hmmmm healing cool-down you say now which button is that oh I dont have one.
we 3 tanked this fight, pretty easy
Fuck yeah these graphics.
Frost mage is so fucked in this fight if he even slightly misstimes his Orb, even if the Frozen Orb is cast before the AOE abilities of the boss, each tick gives torment
yeah, and splitting ice does the same thing so watch out! ^^
Bone saw??? More like FIDGET SPINNER
Fidget boner, wait?..
Why do you say "romm" at times and "room" at other times? What's the difference?
He just can't speak English in general. He mispronounces a lot of words.
Bofe ur tanks
