  • We stayed at High Country Ranch north of Hill City. Highly recommended. The trails here were easy, fun, and scenic. If you're after adrenaline you'll be disappointed.

    Cool video it brings back a lot of great memories. Best trails ever out in the Black Hills! My family, myself and a couple friends went out there in 2020 and we had an awesome time. I couldn’t get over all the miles of trails there were to ride on. And the scenery was amazing. I can’t wait until we make our way back out there. Next time around hopefully someone brings a GoPro or equivalent.

    Heading this way for the 1st time next month. How strict and limited are the width restrictions? Alot of the UTVs going are 64in. Thanks for your time. We are staying south of Lead. Any trail suggestion. Thanks! Great video

    What size tires are you running on your Can-Am Trail and what brand are they in tread. I’m guessing I think they look like 28 x10 x 14

      Midland MXT275. Pretty happy with it. Simple to use, good range.

      @@beliefisnotachoice right on. We use the MXT115 in all of ours and love them. I think the new noise cancellation upgraded microphone they have out now is really gonna make a big improvement also and help cut down the engine noise that you hear when someone keys down while they’re driving

    Was there a maximum width limit on these trails?

    • @beliefisnotachoice
      @beliefisnotachoice  Рік тому +2

      Signage said 65 inches I believe. There are no gates but there are bridges that were at least 70 inches wide.

      @@beliefisnotachoice The limit on the majority of trails is 62" and can be seen in this video at 2:59, specifically designed to keep large Side by Sides off of them. There are tons of Forest Service roads where any size vehicle can ride, but a lot of these small trails are not passable with oncoming traffic except for on ATVs and the very narrow 'Trail' SxS's.
      This group seems safe enough, but there are a lot of folks that come out in x3's and huge rzr turbos that drive it like they're on a one-way rally course with no regard for wildlife, cattle, horseback riders, hikers, and motorcycle riders that all share the trails.

      Not sure what the trail systems name is but some of those trails were west of Hill City and some of them were in spearfish canyon.

      Which trail were the salt mines on?

    • @beliefisnotachoice

      @@davidmeyer3424 very close to Ditch Creek Campground. Plenty of space for trucks and trailers in the large parking area at the campground.

      Our 64 inch machines made it through. Not sure how much extra space there was.
