🎼🎶🎼✴Zack, Great live last nite, Thanks for joining. Some little known historical factoids on this song and the people who created it. "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" with a fascinating backstory! The song was written by none other than Sonny Bono himself, specifically for his then-wife Cher. It was included on her 1966 album, "The Sonny Side of Chér," and quickly became one of her most successful singles. Interestingly, the song's lyrics tell the story of two childhood friends who grow up together, get married, and then ultimately drift apart. While it's a fictional tale, there's something timeless and relatable about the story, which may be part of why the song has endured for so many years. Of course, Sonny and Cher's relationship was notoriously tumultuous, so it's hard not to wonder if any of the song's themes were drawn from their own experiences. Nancy Sinatra recorded and released her version of "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" in 1966, the same year that Cher released the original. As for its inclusion in "Kill Bill," Quentin Tarantino is known for his love of classic music and often includes songs from the 60s and 70s in his films. In the case of "Bang Bang," the song's story of a failed romance and betrayal aligns well with the themes of "Kill Bill," which follows a woman seeking revenge against her former lover. Additionally, Tarantino has cited Nancy Sinatra's version of the song as a particular favorite of his, noting that her sultry vocals and the song's haunting melody add an extra layer of depth and emotion to the scene in which it appears. As for Ms. Jordan, she is sultry vocals and even at 8 years knew the emotional dynamic of the tune, besides she just liked the sound of it. Man I do get carried away, sorry about that. hahaha Glad to have you join the live, just Angels enjoying the journey. Cheers ♾Rb
Zack, you are right song written by Sonny Bono and originally recorded by Cher. Nancy Sinatra had a much successful cover and her version is the best known.
Why is it that real talented singers like Angelina Jordon and Lara Fabian or John Farnham are not promoted by the music industry, and are main stream. Instead they are almost unknowns yet auto-tuned lip-syncing skimpily dressed girls are promoted world wide
@@Hazealot006 I disagree with that if the music buying audience were given the opportunity to hear the singers I mentioned I think they would appreciate and buy there music
Because it seems that 12-15 year old girls control the pop music sales, always have and always will, from Frank Sinatra to Elvis Presley to the Beatles to Michael Jackson to Britney Spears to Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, they love music they can dance to, not necessarily artists with great voices, they’re reserved for more mature audiences whose hard dancing years are behind them.
@@PatrickWilliams-ou9hu I agree that the music industry is rotten. But to go big in music today, you need so much more than a good voice. Opera houses all over the world are filled with extremely good singers, very very few make it to mainstream. Beatles, Stones, Prince, Pink Floyd, Eminem, Billy Joel, Abba - are some of the best selling artists of all time - without being talented singers. On the other hand, are we sure Angelina really want to go mainstream? She can still make a really good life by being an independent and creative artist, with focus on making music she likes. I for one hopes she never stops singing jazzy and soulful music, even if thats not what is played on the radio.
Thank you Zack 😊

Haunting in a pretty way
Wonderful edit, esp. the last one where you had both views turning their head in unison in the same direction.
So many vocal elements that made Billie Holiday the 'Queen Of Jazz' are heard by Angelina here.
This was the third song she sang on NGT.

*NEW* Angelina Jordan: "Mirror, mirror on the wall..." ua-cam.com/users/shortsvmigNbgQ_ss
That wasn’t one of my favorite videos. I’m not sure why. I love AJ!💜💜💜
❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 IMO, the guitarist on NGT was far better than the one in Las Vegas. Angelina's singing can salvage a lot, though. Thanks, Zack and James.
Have you ever reviewed anything from Liliac?

Because thats what the music buying audience wants, sadly.

Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift’s music appeals to young girls because it’s relatable to them in its content and angst, same with Olivia Rodrigo.
