Say you're adding this to a boat that already as fuel in the tank. Clearly, I can see your first calibration point would be after you fill it up. Then, how do you add the other points if the GFL10 is the only way to get fuel level? Obviously, you don't want to use empty as a calibration point when you're out on the water.

Yes it is very confusing. I don't understand why at full tank you cant say 100% and then go from there. I don't understand why he added the 0, 50 and 100 and then it started reading 68%. It is confusing.

I'm using mines GFS 10 with a new 743 xs tomorrow I'm calibrating. I already connected the GFS to my analog gauge wire from the sending unit I removed all my gauges by connecting a Volvo Penta on gateway. but I needed the GFS to pick up my fuel tank level

Can you add separate calibration points over a few days?

All these garmin devices show up on the Garmin chart plotters. Ecept the fuel sensor. Why did they make the damn thing so hard to program.

So basically you install this and get it calibrated and the fuel tank will now be like it is in a car. Once you refuel it adjusts fuel level by its self and you dont have to manually enter it??

    Thank you for these videos.
    Two questions:
1 What oil level sensor do you recommend to use along with the GFL10 in my oil reservoir tank?
2 Right now I use engine fuel flow data to show me how much fuel I have left in the tank, and I have that displayed on my engine page. If I were to install a GFL10 to my actual fuel tank float sensor could I have it to where I can name the info display from the float sensor as Actual Tank Fuel and the other display that right now shows fuel level by means of fuel flow data as Calculated Fuel?
    Thank you

      Good Evening,
Garmin doesn't manufacture an oil level sensor, but the GFL10 can be connected to an analog oil level sensor and the data can be converted to NMEA 2000. If a GFL10 is connected to a float sensor, it can be named.
