I have my own 3 months old golden retriever and I train almost daily with him. He knows commands but not to his full potential. I worry that he is behind on training and that I am not doing enough. At what age did Simba learn basic commands?
Each pup is different, just be consistent and patient. Use high reward treats or a favourite toy. As long as you’re trying then that’s all you can do. I’m a vet nurse but have done many other courses including dog training and I can’t seem to get my pup to remember her recall but she will one day, just have to be consistent. Never feed frozen food to your dog, always thaw it out. My pups get fed at night so I take their food out the night before and let it defrost in the fridge for 24/hrs or if I forget I put it out on the counter during the day and if it’s still not defrosted u put it in a pot of very warm water for half an hour to give it that extra push to defrost.

I'm a bit confused, but I'm pretty sure simba is a pure golden retriever which mean both his parents are golden retrievers😋🐕
