As someone that used to sell insurance, you can answer the rideshare question by saying: I will not be driving the vehicle on a rideshare platform. @@StefanMarquardt Wow!💡, Thx Stefan This has been very helpful, so we will have to get the fleet insurance, that you talked about in the video, if we are going to place cars on Turo.
I’ve got a question for you: since you are a licensed retail dealer, obviously you should already have an umbrella insurance policy on all of your inventory and you talk about it @9:25. So do you still have to personally register each vehicle there or can you just rent any vehicle that is in your dealer inventory , in stock, passed safety inspection?
The cars have to be registered and the insurance provided for dealers (garage liability) is not attached to a car but instead covers dealer transport tags. You would need a seperate policy and the car would need to be registered and taxes paid. I made an insurance video with detail you should check it out also.
Another Turo renter told me this. My policy is with ABI. It's a period policy. When the car is idle the coverage is on with a 2500 deductible. When the car is in a trip the coverage is off and the car is covered by Turo protection plan. Your thoughts?

Good video but the video is even better when you change the playback speed to 1.5
What company do you use for collision insurance when you rent off of turo?
I’ve got a question for you: since you are a licensed retail dealer, obviously you should already have an umbrella insurance policy on all of your inventory and you talk about it @9:25. So do you still have to personally register each vehicle there or can you just rent any vehicle that is in your dealer inventory , in stock, passed safety inspection?
The cars have to be registered and the insurance provided for dealers (garage liability) is not attached to a car but instead covers dealer transport tags. You would need a seperate policy and the car would need to be registered and taxes paid. I made an insurance video with detail you should check it out also.
really useful content I appreciate you
Since there is an issue with finding insurance as a turo renter, who does turo use for insurance? Can we use that company too?
Big facts. Great question! Lmao. Let get that company get win and losses
We know how it is... 😉 thanks for this video, very helpful actually. Thinking about renting on Turo.
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼 love to see females get the bag
Do you keep your personal insurance cards in the vehicle?
Keep it taped up on the top of the glovebox but you want the guest showing Turo Insurance card
Another Turo renter told me this. My policy is with ABI. It's a period policy. When the car is idle the coverage is on with a 2500 deductible. When the car is in a trip the coverage is off and the car is covered by Turo protection plan. Your thoughts?
It appears you were told that by a host not a renter.
Great video very informative
Great Info ! Thanks.
