@@seelder I would have enjoyed either one. I never regretted buying the XR350R. It was cool however, the way the 500 spun its rear tire on my test ride, on pavement! The 350 didn't have that kind of power. The 500 has bigger diameter forks and more suspension travel too. I think I just wanted something smaller and lighter. I eventually sold the 350 and bought a 125 two-stroke. I'm riding a 300L now and it's a lot like the old 350 was. Once again, I could have bought the 450L, but opted for the smaller motor for the tight trail riding that I like to do. Just enough power to keep me happy.

Nice bike. I had a '83 350 I bought new. Almost bought the 500. Test rode the 500 and it was awesome. It was a hard decision to make.
What made you choose the 350? Did you like you decision in the end or did you want more out of the 350
