I can totally understand this tug of war scenerio going on between the crew/ship company and the passengers. Some passengers here in india (not all but most) are barbarian like and have no sense of protecting and maintaining what's not theirs. They destroy and damage everything just because of boredom. The crew and shipping company gotta step things up. Do a dry dock and make the ship proper. Then have Stricter rules. A passenger breaks them. Blacklist his name from ever booking a trip again. Quality is better than quantity. And less bad quality means less damages and maintenance cost. This isn't a problem from one source. It's from the main source that we Indians don't take things seriously and prefer throwing the blame around.
We should start luxury cruise liners between mainland and Andman.These are 20-30 ferries in a day between UK and France on English channel. Air services should be withdrawn. We need to build big sea going ships on war footing. We are very poor in manufacturing. We should borrow ship building technologies from Italy, Portugal and Germany. With huge Labour force,we can be a major ship builder. Jay Hind.
I wanted to be on at least a one day ship journey with my family, and then planned to go to the Andamans (2 day journey). But now I think it's not a very good idea, given the available ships are meant for those interested in the destination, not the journey 😒. Perhaps you could suggest better ship lines with at least 24 hour journey (so that we could have an escape, looking at the sky and the sea at different times of the day 😃 ) Thanks.
Ayappan Radhakrishnan v could not capture the deluxe one however I did peak into one of the deluxe ones it's way way better den bunk & cabin class and I heard der AC stops working most of the time n service is bad.
I wanted to travel to Andamans by ship. Due to time constraints I then flew in. And I now feel that it was a very right decision. These ships are like the sleeper class coaches of Indian Railways. Low price, but low quality travel and associated risks. I also understand that the Island residents gets the ticket at even more lower prices. Just like any traveller who has money to spare, avoids train travel and opt for luxury buses, the air lines would become a more preferred option here as well.

Could you please throw some light on the Deluxe class as well (or whichever the highest class is)? Would it be comfortable and enjoyable? And the condition of the rooms and toilets. Thanks.
