The lyrics are awesome but it's not just that. the whole sound captures the meaning of the lyrics perfectly. there are so many different details and they all fit perfectly well together. even this strange switch to German and back to English adds amazingly well and I can't even put in words why or how this works O_o The whole song sounds so different but not a single second it seems alien or otherworldly. it's that exact feeling of life being stuck in a factory/at a workplace/in general everybody knows and understands even people who's lives were never stuck. but the best about this song is how it paints the whole thing crumbing down at the end. it's like all this depression the system burdened the people with is circling back to the system itself. and when this happens the power and the euphoric feelings which come with it, fulfill the masses. instead to distinguish those ideas the song captures both at the same time, at the same second using the whole repertoire of meaning and music. I love it!
@@Pogokoala Norbert Schwefel (22.08.60 - 23.07.2015) was a great musician (singer) in the Independence (industrial) scene. He died after a long illness. He also played several musical instruments.

METROPOLIS: Walking all night long without my soul
reigned by machines, feeling every bone
I don´t understand those computing brains
leaders looking smart, playing their cruel games
nobody would lean up, `cause of fear
dictators power make them feel so weird
see the cue of robots, metallic gray
never see the light of the perfect day
I don´t want to go, but I know, I have to be there
livin´ in the city with futuristic signs
trains in the air, connected lines
sky scraping buildings, sulphur atmosphere
exhausted men can´t escape from here
don´t communicate, looking old and dead
life circumstances drive them mad
the masters leading different lifes
2,3,4 kalte männer in their paradise

one interrupted, that will chaos be
the monotony of work drive them insane
one worker died, ´cause of mental pain
he should be exchanged like a cheap screw
but one didn´t want and nobody knew
the madman construction tumbled down
the former dictators lost their crown
