While grandpa Max IS abnormally cool about his grandson having superpowers that he supposedly would have no way of knowing has side effects and fighting criminals, thats just part of who he is. Once a plumber, always a plumber. And I think he figured out soon enough that he was wearing the omnitrix, even if he only heard about it. So that might explain why hes mostly supportive of having Ben learn how to use his powers, instead of trying to take them away like regular parents, or even grandparents would do for their children's personal safety.
I like how Grey Matter and their entire species are supposed to be the smartest aliens in the universe and Ben's using his size to find the equivalent to a pokemon card.
Fun fact grandpa max is the voice for nords and imperials in elder scrolls and I think in fallout too. He was the wizard Nord in the past fighting Alduin. Bro has been a plumber of the multiverse
5:22 If Ben gets injured in alien form, and the alien's biology doesn't take care of it (e.g., regeneration powers), the injury will transfer back to his human body in some way. It doesn't happen often, but the franchise showcases this a handful of times. The injury won't always be one-to-one in terms of type and severity though.
Pretty sure Ben once had his arm fucking almost blown up as Clockwork to the point he fainted, when he woke up and detransformed he "just" had a broken arm
I remember when I first watched this show I turned on my TV one day and went to see the first episode that was gonna pop up And randomly, the first episode that I saw was the very first episode of the series ("And Then There Was 10") Crazy isn't it?
"Is Gwen his sister or his girlfriend?" Well, it depends on the fanfiction... But she is his cousin. If I recall, though, the character of Gwen was originally conceived to be Ben's girlfriend or classmate before the creators realized, "Wait, why would they both go on a roadtrip together? Oh, what if they were family instead?"
Classmate, it was. And then they just... didn't course correct all the way, so there's apparently a good deal of romantic subtext in the original series, and that's projected by fans into subsequent series.
Hard to believe but I don't think there has ever been a bad Ben 10 show tbh. Even the Reboot has great ideas and respects the OS, the first thing a reboot should do

You have the original ben who never learnes and sucks, the UAF season 1-2 Ben who is the superior Ben who has grown up and then you have UAF season 3 onwards who is an egomaniac and then the Omniverse Ben who has amnesia
I know the show isn’t the best for content, but for nostalgia purposes; PLEASE make a series out of the show. There’s plenty to watch and it’s a great show.
the watch will automatically program the species basic insticts into ben when he transforms so he basically knows atleast how to use their basic functions when he transforms which is probably why he even knew how to use any of heatblasts powers
The reason Grandpa Max isn't startled or surprised seeing an alien is because he was actually once a member of a galactic law enforcement group known as "Plumbers". Bro's already dozens of aliens, and even banged a few and had a kid with one. And it'd be near impossible (from what I remember) to rip off Diamondhead's arm, as his species is known to *very* durable
Grandpa Max in the early episodes was exactly like Harrison Wells in The Flash. Knows too much, explains too little, mentors someone who, as far as the person knows, developed those powers by accident but they know nearly exactly what's up with him
So glad they're watching this show! It was one of my favorites growing up (my brother and i LOVED the opening) Here's a fun fact: in the spanish dub of the show, XLR8's name is directly translated. Looking back at this reminds me of the time where I was watching many marathons of the show back in 2012-2016 (lol I'm a 2010s kid born somewhere in the late 2000s)
I’ve been waiting for the day they watch the undisputed goat of CN. Classic and Omniverse are peak, UAF good too
agree
I have the feeling they'll probably hate Alien Force lol
Ben 10 was my favourite cartoon growing up. Been looking forward to you guys watching this.
Max is reasonably chill, he has been inside multiple aliens.
A part of me wonders how they would be if Xylene was their grandmother instead of Verdona.
The transformations are so unnecessarily detailed I love it
Please watch more, this series is amazing and so nostalgic seeing it again❤
Their grandfather is a plumber. That's why he's not phased by any of this 😅
4:52 The omnitrix uploads the aliens instincts directly into Bens mind
In one of the episodes, it reveals that Ben and Gwen are exactly the same age. They have the same birthday.
"Ben never loses"
he loses almost every single fight that isn't the last one of the act
the best part of this was just seeing how grossed out they were at the transformations
Fun fact grandpa max is the voice for nords and imperials in elder scrolls and I think in fallout too. He was the wizard Nord in the past fighting Alduin. Bro has been a plumber of the multiverse
And Zeratul too, I think
i literally prayed that they'll react to ben10 like 2 days ago no way
5:22 If Ben gets injured in alien form, and the alien's biology doesn't take care of it (e.g., regeneration powers), the injury will transfer back to his human body in some way. It doesn't happen often, but the franchise showcases this a handful of times. The injury won't always be one-to-one in terms of type and severity though.
true, and whatever he's suffering from does affect the aliens too like the flu. which has weird effects depending on the alien he turns into
It only happens when relevant to the plot
Pretty sure Ben once had his arm fucking almost blown up as Clockwork to the point he fainted, when he woke up and detransformed he "just" had a broken arm
@@diogod2347He did have the Ultramatrix so it could of been the cause
@@diogod2347He did have the Ultramatrix so it could of been the cause
I saw this notification and I need the entire series right now right here
Dude yes, *Spilling the Milk* covering *Ben 10*
🥛👽🤍
Fun fact when Ben transforms he becomes the best version of the alien that he transforms into
I remember when I first watched this show
I turned on my TV one day and went to see the first episode that was gonna pop up
And randomly, the first episode that I saw was the very first episode of the series ("And Then There Was 10")
Crazy isn't it?
After 70 days I finally feel complete
"Is Gwen his sister or his girlfriend?"
Well, it depends on the fanfiction...
@@seg162no. There’s literally none. Dancing together isn’t romantic subtext, she was teaching him to dance
@@pemanilnooblike what bro?
@@sheepishbaton0399 ??
@@pemanilnoob Who u responded to trying to convince us of "romantic subtext"
Hard to believe but I don't think there has ever been a bad Ben 10 show tbh. Even the Reboot has great ideas and respects the OS, the first thing a reboot should do
Ben 10 reboot is actually way better than other reboots of other shows
@@theamazingspooderman2697 Exactly, it tries and I respect that
MLP, Owl house, Adventure Time and now Ben 10? Sweet! So far you guys have watched all of my favorite shows!
If only you did Mixels. (Which I doubt you’ll do)
You have the original ben who never learnes and sucks, the UAF season 1-2 Ben who is the superior Ben who has grown up and then you have UAF season 3 onwards who is an egomaniac and then the Omniverse Ben who has amnesia
PLEASE
NEVER STOP
WATCHING
THIS MASTERPIECE
Grandpa Max is the least evil person in the entire franchise.
finally, the best show of all time...
that is a fact and not an opinion, i will not be argued against
Facts
cool opinion
I’ll never argue against that
Are we not gonna talk abt how he dodged a point blank harpoon, and bullets from a turret
I know the show isn’t the best for content, but for nostalgia purposes; PLEASE make a series out of the show. There’s plenty to watch and it’s a great show.
the story is actually unique, Omniverse especially connects so many dots together
Let's goo ben 10 has 10 has finally arrived on scene and it's glorious.
literally so glad you guys are watching ben 10, its awesome except for alien force season 3. but thats just my opinion
Ben 10 started my body horror obsession
And that's why, he beats Goku
Many comments like Ben doesn’t struggle will be proven wrong later on the series.
Finally, they are watching my childhood
Gwen is Ben's cousin. As for the transformations themselves, they are instantaneous. What the audience sees is simply a slowed down version.
Alright it's time to watch the best thing Cartoon Network ever made
Casually had a nostalgic rewatch this year, lol
This artstyle is better than that bland one.
You mean the one in Alien Force? Yeah, I can see it.
Who what?
Reboot?
the watch will automatically program the species basic insticts into ben when he transforms so he basically knows atleast how to use their basic functions when he transforms which is probably why he even knew how to use any of heatblasts powers
For God's sake, Gwen is his cousin! 😂
Eden looked hella cute this episode with that shirt. Also caked up in the DC photo
Fun video, glad we got this even if we don't get more Ben 10.
You don't understand how long I waited for this for
Bro the Ripjaws vs FoF vs Kraken fight was the best water fight animation has ever produced.
The reason Grandpa Max isn't startled or surprised seeing an alien is because he was actually once a member of a galactic law enforcement group known as "Plumbers". Bro's already dozens of aliens, and even banged a few and had a kid with one.
And it'd be near impossible (from what I remember) to rip off Diamondhead's arm, as his species is known to *very* durable
grandpa max being a fed is pretty funny since he also voiced the colonel in metal gear solid
Kudos to the editor
Grandpa Max in the early episodes was exactly like Harrison Wells in The Flash. Knows too much, explains too little, mentors someone who, as far as the person knows, developed those powers by accident but they know nearly exactly what's up with him
So glad they're watching this show! It was one of my favorites growing up (my brother and i LOVED the opening)
Here's a fun fact: in the spanish dub of the show, XLR8's name is directly translated. It doesn't mean anything in the language, so younger me though Ben simply felt like naming one of his aliens like random letters and a number.
"Why the granpa knows he's a Alien?". Just 1 season of foreshadowing on P.L.U.M.B.ER.S.
Why are they hating on it so bad, this shit is so fucking good
