Sorry to hear about your Job loss Jim. Terrible time of year for it to happen. Not that there is a good time for it. You make a good point about the technology. It is evolving so fast that it is hard to know if it makes sense to buy now or wait for something better. Only good thing about it is, the older tech tends to get cheaper when new tech is released. Thanks for commenting
Mark, I love your reviews. I have a recommendation for you. Have you ever considered reviewing the global long distance LTE walkie talkies? They look to good to be true. In any case thanks for what you do and Merry Christmas.
@@MarkYoungBushcraft - thanks much, Mark - I haven't used it with the solar panel that I bought along with it, yet, just used it via wall plug-in and charging phone, iPad and a couple of gadgets a few times to see how it works - will still need to do a car camping and figuring out the connecting and get familiar with the specs and all ... your videos are a good learning-curve help - thanks muchly !
I still find it interesting that we can produce electricity from a solar panel. Even with my smaller solar panels, I try to be careful with charging my IPhone or tablets directly with the panels. I’ve been charging them with a power bank, then charging the power bank the panels. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️
Right on. I have an older Anker solar panel I would charge my phone with but for the rest, I charge my power banks and use them to charge everything else. Thanks for commenting
With the sale price on right now it’s pretty interesting. Unfortunately I lost my job a couple months before Christmas, so not for me. Elon will probably be coming out with a new single crystal battery, hopefully soon, that will last 25 times more charging cycles than current ones do. So the batteries will last longer than the car. If it can be done affordably it’ll sure help with this stuff too.

@ Thanks Mark. I’ve been under a lot of stress, and sorry about coming down hard on you before. I still think you could do a little more before giving a good review on something that could get someone in a lot of trouble, but I was rude and said some other stuff I know was wrong. I hope you guys have an absolutely wonderful Christmas
@ oh, and in the next few days I’ll find out if I’ll be probably the only 60yr old student in a health care school. Gotta see if I can get some gov financing to help me make it come true.
@@jimf1964 I can only imagine how hard it has been for you. Your earlier comment did get me thinking more about my testing and reviews. I expect I can do more with items that could be impacted by heavy duty or extended use, like tarps. Wishing you and your family the very best this Christmas. BTW... feel free to reach out to me n FaceBook or by email
@ I haven’t used FB for about 3 years. It can be useful, but it’s basically a disease. I have no idea about your email. I’ll check you "about" page to see. Thanks Mark. You’re one of the most solid UA-cam guys I’ve come across. Nothing like an easterner 🙂
Mark, you were actually right… WATTAGE remains the same either way, therefore they’re 100 WATTS. Parallel increases CURRENT V x A = W (or VA) Simply… voltage IS EMF (the force or “pressure”) Multiplied by current in AMPS are the flow and the amount of electrons which is what “moves” = WATTS, the final units used to indicate POWER. Note: You can manipulate the formula if you have any 2 out of the 3 values *this will be on Monday’s test 🤣
This sounds like the ideal car camping electric setup 👍
Right on. Exactly what I will be using them for. Thanks for commenting Alex
Looks like they will suit your application perfectly. Thanks for sharing.
I hope so. I won't really know until next summer. hanks for commenting Steve
Greetings Mark, I love the details of your videos, thank for filming and posting.
Glad the video was helpful for you. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the explanation and demo Mark👍
Most welcome. Thanks for commenting Wade

When purchasing the 'Y' connectors to plug in 2 panels, get the 10ga. Anything smaller is not good. I have a smaller guage, and I stick with 10.
Good advice, I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the comment.

They look to good to be true.
In any case thanks for what you do and Merry Christmas.
I have only briefly considered them but I will take another look. Thanks for commenting and Merry Christmas
Good review Mark, thanks for sharing, YAH bless !
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
Hopefully they are compatible with the jackery explorer 500 - let’s see if I can figure that out…
I don't own Jackery bu I would think it should be able to handle the voltage. Always worth checking the specs. Thanks for commenting

In series increases voltage . In parallel increases wattage
Yes, is that not what I said? Thanks for commenting
