7-Minute Morning Workout in Pyjamas

  • Please READ this box more info. Good Morning my lovelies, let's do this "7-Minute Morning Workout in Pyjamas" 1st thing in the morning before you have your breakfast or shower to kickstart your metabolism, burn fat and to keep you energised throughout the day.
    If you know you have a busy day ahead and won't be able to fit a long session in, do this workout and you won't have any excuses later on in the day. To turn this into a full workout, you can repeat the entire circuit 2 to 3 more times.
    The estimated calorie burned for a 7-minute circuit is between 45 - 60Cals.
    p/s Assuming that we won't be wearing a pair of bra in the morning, I've made this workout to be 'bra-less' friendly and low impact. =D

      Susan Hillyard I find that as the days go on, it actually becomes more and more challenging for me. Not because I'm feeling sore, but because my muscles feel weaker for some reason. Is this normal?

    Just did this workout and showered immediately after and got a bottle of water. I'm now refreshed to start my day! Love this.. My new routine for the morning! :)

      This was my high school routine when I had abs!!!! Now I’m obese and trying to do it every morning like I use to!!!

    After doing no physical activity for about three years, I tried this "simple" workout. 30 seconds in and I felt like I was made of noodles 😭. But after only a week it was all right. Amazing! I've even added a few more minutes. I still can't do the last one, though. Planking is not for everyone...
    Anyway, nice video!

    If some people ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT do the push ups, just do jumping jacks for that minute and you will be okay..you will still get the same energized feeling! This works for me.

      I had the same problem when I first started doing push-ups...they say just do them on your knees but I hated it so instead I just did push-ups against a wall at gradually increasing angles. I'm not amazing by any stretch of the imagination, but after a few weeks doing this I can now manage at least ten or so normal push-ups if I'm reasonably warmed up. 🙌

    its 5:30 in the morning right now... I wake up at 5 every morning and from 5-5:30 I have time to brush my teeth and wash my face then I still have time to do this workout and type this comment! lol this really wakes me up! I just have to get out of bed to do all of this...

    Also, on the push up exercise, if gravity makes it super hard to do them even on your knees, or you just have zero upper body strength, try doing them up against a wall.
    To do them: 1) Extend your arms out in front of you, palms facing the wall. You want to have about 5 inches or so between the palms of your hands and the wall. 2) Stand on the tips of your toes. 3) With a straight body, lean forward placing your hands on the wall in front of you. This will result in your arms almost at a 90 degree angle at the elbow. This is the neutral position. If it is or is greater than a 90 degree, you are too close to the wall. If it is not or is less than a 90 degree angle, you are too far from the wall.
    As you lean into the wall, use your arms and core to push you back "up" to neutral. When you lean into the wall, your arms will make a complete 90 degree angle. Don't over extend.
    You can even do the rotate with the arms. Doing push ups this way, is extremely easy and results in less tension in your arms, shoulders, back, and core if you have never done push ups before or have zero upper body strength. And gravity has less of an impact this way.
    This method is also good if you have had shoulder injuries in the past. Hope this helps. :D

    Today I did the workout in my pyjamas, it was really fun I never done that before. my sister was laughing at me and saying I've lost my mind, but she joined me in the end we really enjoyed it.. lol ..

      Hi! Is this also for men? I am man and did this with my mother-in-law but it was brutal! I used soup cans (half lb) as weights but could not last even 6 minutes of the workout when my arms completely gave up and I stopped and my MIL told me to go and rest. My MIL, who has been doing Joanna lessons regularly for year, did the full session using 6 kg dumbbells and she repeated the session 3 times in a row!! Her biceps are thick and powerful! I feel really low and defeated.

    There REALLY is no excuse. I didnt do this AS SOOO as I woke up this morning as the children were awake so I just wasn't going to but once they went to school and I was still in my pj's I thought why not! It's only 7 mins. I'm so glad I did. I instantly feel better about the day and feel energised and ready for the day. Thank you xxx

    If you did actual work-out dvds, I would buy them. I've only ever bought Zumba and it is fun... though I didn't realize I didn't have the room to do it, so it's kinda stashed until I find a better, more open space that doesn't have a weak floor. You are so very encouraging and motivating. When I watch and work out to your videos; I don't feel like I don't measure up or that I can't do it. Thanks for your vids and for just being plain awesome Joanna!

    I didn't do so well first time. But I am going to do this every morning from now on! For me I struggled with the push ups. I am not very good at those yet! Ty for the video!

    Thank you so much for this video! I have a full time job and a 1 year old so I really don't have a lot of time to workout. This was easy and energizing. Now if I can just make myself get up 7 minutes earlier every morning lol

    Dear Joanna thank you so much for creating this session. I have been found it for 2 months now on a daily basis just missed 3 days which is a victory already. 1st month did only one time and second months I feel confortable for 2 consecutive sessions of this 7 min work out in my pyjamas. Thank you for your energy your smile your encouragements you have made what many have failed before I mean to create : a happy sportive daily routine thank you for that 😊🌺👟 please keep going I am a fan now 😊

    I'm age 50+ and this is the best quick work out I've found. It's hard and makes you sweat, but it does the job of getting your heart rate up and boosting your metabolism. My challenge to all is 30 days, without a break. Then we can compare and see how it's working for us!

    I used to be so into exercise and fitness but the past couple of years I've slumped and lost motivation, and gained weight in the meantime. I searched videos looking for something and honestly didn't expect to find one I liked....until I saw this one. Joanna's cute little smile, the workout tailored for wearing PJ's, and only 7 minutes.... How can I NOT do it???? It looks fun. I'm planning on doing this 3 mornings a week, starting tomorrow. I looked at some of Joanna's other videos and I'll probably give them a try as well.I just want to say "Thank you, Joanna" for helping me get a motivated mindset again.-Tonya D.

    Before finding this channel I was SUPER lazy and gluttonous, I could give any excuse to not move and eat up the entire kitchen. So glad this came along to give me the extra boost-o-courage for that toned body I wanted. I thought it was a dream to work out I'm my Pj's~

    In 3 months, this video has helped me lose 10 kg.
    I followed this video once before and lost 16 kg, but then covid came and I became "teacher" to my kids and I stopped looking after my self, but since I knew this video had helped me before I also knew how to pick up and try again.

    I used to do lots of exercise back in school, but since going to college i've lost all motivation and pretty much hate exercise. However, I can feel the difference due to my lack of energy, mild acne, dull mood and slight weight gain - I'm starting university in September and I really need to get back on track! You're videos are so motivating and fun and I feel more like I'd be working out with a friend rather than someone telling me what to do. Definitely going to use your videos to help get a healthier and fitter lifestyle back on track!! Thank you!! ^_^

      Just did this for the first time! "You should be swearing slightly" - I'm sweating buckets!! Oh dear I need to get fit again hahaha I could do all of it expect the press-ups (I'm super bad at those so I could only manage very shallow ones), and the full one minutes plank - mainly because my feet kept slipping on my carpet haha

    I like the variety in the exercises. Instead of just working one place like sit-ups or push-ups would, I can feel muscles all over working. I'm definitely going to try to make this work out a habit.

    New mom trying to find a good work out routine: I stumbled upon your work out video looking for sometime a little less time consuming and in the morning. I actually did it with out dumbbells but my arms are feeling it. So I think I'll do this every morning and mix some morning yoga.

    i love your videos sooo much. i do the workout (different video everyday) usually after 1 hour of breakfast and i feel so good throughout the entire day. i have never enjoy working out (i usually work out for 1 or 2 days before this and then stop) but with yr videos every morning i wake up(one month already now) and i will on my laptop and go to youtube and find one of yr videos that i feel want to do that day. thank youuu soo much. please keep on posting working out videos. Oh and my friends started to notice the changes in my body shape too.thank you soo much. having nice mody reallyyy do make ourselves feel more confident! XOXO

    Please sow or instruct more on modifications for larger people with limited joint mobility. For example, I have limited shoulder and wrist movement due to joint damage. I planked against the wall using my fore arm. Others watching may get frustrated and not know how to modify. Thank you for the quick energizers..I enjoyed it this morning.

    I just tried this workout! This is the very first one I actually enjoyed! I'm gonna make this one the workout i do everyday at least 2 times! I'm also gonna update!
    Day 1: Tiring but effective and fun! Obviously didn't see a change in appearance. Gonna do this again!
