It was AOR, as disco was not my thing too much either, Kraftwerk, Elvis Costello, Blonde, Joe Walsh and lots of R&B from WDAS in New York. So probably the reason I never heard it, none of the outlets I was listening to would never have added it to their playlists.
My mother used to play this song when I was young. This song Brings back memories of my youth and all the great times I had doing the things I loved to do with my mother and I still do. This is a very well written and produced song. It would be nice for this nostalgic song to be popular again.

I'm sitting here at my laptop watching old songs from the '70s and '80s and at one point I just THINK "after Albert Hammond and Janis Ian, I think I'll listen to Stonebolt." But Janis Ian led to Daniel Powter, then it was on to Tracey Ullman, and 6 or 8 songs later I had forgot about Stonebolt...until it popped up as the top suggestion.
I guess that as much as "... I will still love you...", I will also always love this song. Thank you, Stonebolt, for the soundtrack you offered me then, as a teenager, and now.
