Enjoyed it all!! Thanks for sharing this video, please make more!
My favorite, too, and this is my new favorite version. Very touching. Wish we could convinced fiddlers to play it slowly, to appreciate its loveliness. Thanks much!
Hi! Long Time (2 years)member of ozarkbanjo lessons - this is one of my favorite songs to listen... would love it if you could find the time to add this to the "lessons" page... particularly the little walkdown that you do at 2:00! Lots of appreciation!
Beautiful. Love the slide at the beginning of each phrase.
Those triplet-feel embellishments are just so damn smooth and beautiful... 🤍
This is the single best banjo piece I’ve heard in my life. This one has heart❤
Love this style of banjo playing, the tune makes me well up with emotion😢
Hey Lukas, happy to hear another one of your tunes, always enjoy the music you put out and the banjo sounds (and looks) gorgeous! Hope you and your family are well!
One of my favorite fiddle tunes! Makes me so happy to hear it played this way! I'm sure you made Mr Benny Thompson proud with your version! Just delightful to listen to!
Thank you Lukas !
First heard this waltz in 1975 on David Bromberg's LP album of the same name. It was forever etched into my memory the very first time I listened to it. Many years later it still impacts me in much the same way. You, Sir, have certainly captured the warm and haunting beauty of this melody. And that's one beautiful banjo!
I love the warm, classic sound of that banjo. It reminds me of my uncles antique banjo that was made in the early 1900's.
What a gorgeous tone, and a gorgeous tune. Also my favorite waltz! I loved the descending harmonic motion in the second A section, first time through!
This is magical
Lovely, Lukas . Especially love the variations, minor chords and delicate runs.
Lovely rendition.
Tabs please!
You need to record an album, very nice :-)
nice
Gorgeous tune. Would love to learn it, if you have tab!
Just curious, where you from I'm a fiddle player?
What tuning is this played in?
sounds like double c to me (GCGCD)
@@Nicholace I think you’re right, thanks!
