I’m excited for this game. I tried getting into +r but I feel too dumb to play it. The simplified controls plus the beautiful animations makes me wanna play it.
I am not a Boomer and recently learnt Xrd to some extent, I agree with LN. Especially as a VF player that just walked up to the Vets and asked to play. I even made a name for myself and discovered some things. This feels great to do. I also played ST and a lot of, “Broken” FGs and Strive is more busted than ST in terms of being dominant and experienced. My experience doesn’t mean anything as a FG.
I know I'm three months late, but I really hope that LN dude got into therapy and maybe saw a psychiatrist for some medication too, man was having a very public mental breakdown, constantly talking about how he has nothing in his life anymore, and lashing out at others because of it. It was funny at first, because his reactions were ridiculous, but after reading him reply to so many days worth of comments, many that he literally brought on himself, it just made me really sad. LN, if you're still alive and you see this, hope you got the help you need, and if you haven't, I hope you reach out and find it.
I love how after the first Ram super, you cut it to a moment where player 2 took heavy damage. I dunno if it was intentional or not, but if it is, nice one!
I had a lot of fun with the Strive beta but hope they make air blocking the way it used to be and buff DPs. Jumping felt way too free and DPs are only good for high/low mixups but get blown up by tick throws and oki throws of all things.
Generally the issue is that if you are gonna do analog, you might as well stick. I use analog mostly because using the pad for extended time hurts my widdle thumb
Keyboard is way more optimal and less prone to error than analog. I play on hitbox, which is basically the most optimal way to play and pretty much a keyboard. I don't play it because it's optimal, though, it's just fun and feels/sounds nice :>

I could actually do stuff in Strive, I had characters that actually felt right to me, I felt I was actually learning and improving at the game, the netcode was great and I was having fun during it. The beta actually made me interested in GG as a whole with how much fun it was. Only downside was the lobby system, which was...meh Meanwhile, trying to play Rev 2 has been the equivalent of bashing my head against a wall. No character feels right to me, I never feel like I'm making any progress, the netcode annoys me on a spiritual level, and I can't recall a time I was ever having fun with the game. Which sucks, because I'm in Strive withdrawal and need my GG fix, so June 11th better hurry its ass up. In the meantime, I'm gonna debate whether or not its worth it to buy +R on 360 because I don't have a gaming PC
