Nice tutorial! I love the micro adjust between each gear and it's something SRAM needs to include and pronto. I've seen so many unhappy AXS and Transmission owners complaining about rasps in 1 or 2 gears and when they global micro adjust it fixes those, but makes problems in others. Can't wait to hear how it holds up for you!
My ASX with a GX cassette has one gear that's noisy, no matter what. The Ttype my son uses is 1 micro adjust click away from being noisy....all good though. Not sure all the tech is worth it giving that it's not shifting better than Shimano 12s
Thanx for the video. I used it to install on my dual suspension emtb with 11speed cues chain and cassette. Especially thanx for the 'Set up from SRAM from the get go' tip and how to fine tine my gears. Works perfectly now.
Looks like a real challenger to AXS. Although product design and aesthetics not quite at SRAM’s level, the lower price point may attract riders who’ve always wanted to try wireless shifting.
If they improve the ergonomics of the shifter, rest is fine. And shifting is OMG quick and good! That fine tuning of each gear, I already have a couple of GX cassettes that need that feature thanks to SRAM manufacturing tolerances.😀
Hi, I have a tandem bike and I would like to replace the 2.5m shift cable. Will this derailleur work with a 9s caset and three chainrings? Thanks for the reply.
Ìf i want to build a grave lbike with an mtb casette, can i setup the wheeltop brake handles and calipers in combination with the MTB wheeltop derailleur as i can with sram Axs?
Is there a hard reset for the derailleur It was working fine and now will only shift two cogs from the largest Even off the bike it won’t move through range Set for 11s
@@gregstearns2829 there is no hard reset unfortunately. BUT go to that first cog adjustment and you’ll be able to move the derailleur back at the beginning for gear 1. That should solve the problem.
Hi, LoveMTB. Thankyou so much for your videos. Would you please help me with the following situation? I mounted a Vittoria graphene tyre on a Kovee Elite carbon rim. Used Squirt sealant but forgot to mix the BeadBlocks. Then tried to open a gap between the rim and the tyre to insert the BeadBlocks but the tyre is “glued” to the rim and i can’t pull it out. Do you know any solution for this situation? Greetings from Portugal. José
Because it avoids the jump from 42 to 52T, that's one. But more importantly, the largest cog of the cassette dictates the B-Gap. That 52T just stretches the distance from the top jockey to the cassette artificially = quicker shifting performance degradation in the long term. So no, no 52T for me for those cassettes. New T-Type are ok but the whole system was improved, call it version 2.0.

Can't but remember than when you sit on the bike the B-Gap increases. So do 3 mm gap on the stand to check all other settings properly, and then remember that your B-gap will be too big at SAG, so tighten a little.
@@LoveMTB I usually bother my wife to adjust the B gap while I sit on the bike, lol... But this time I tried something different when installing AXS on one of my full-sus bikes. I just let out the air out of the rear shock to the sag point for when I'm sitting on the bike & adjusted the B-gap. Actually worked perfectly!
Shimano 12s SLX cassette here - works out of the box. Need to slightly microadjust just 4th (according to WT) gear and it's working second month with no issues (so far). And no recharge still. Battery life is better than expected at least for me.
Their website is awful. Took a while to find cassette/chain ring. And the info about the cage lengths are also confusing. Not sure why they don't use the images at the bottom of the page when you select the cage length. Also add that same text to the size selections. I can only imagine MTBers arriving on that site assume the product is not that great. I have my doubts. Let use know how this works out in the interim.
Briefly on the critical drawbacks: - non-removable battery - no spareparts or rebuild kits available for sale - weak clutch - bad dirt and water protection - a noticeable play that appears during use - low build quality - price comparable to the Eagle AXs Perhaps as a part of entry-level budget builds, but as an alternative to upgrade kits from SRAM-not a chance.
