Asap might genuinely be the most underrated rapper of that Cole Kendrick drake era, changed the game came with a new sound, every album was amazing
It makes me irrationally angry when people call Rocky ASAP.
@@Sam-xd3yy SMH I know right? It's Aesop rocky
Rocky isn't underrated at all, his music definitely got worse and worse, and then didn't bother to drop music in general after 2016. He focused more on fashion and being an influencer than a musician. He had a lot of hype but didn't capitalize on it properly. Nowadays he's pretty shit, subliminally dissing other artists, terrible fashion and terrible attitude in general
@@laitsiv4848his album with the clown face was fye asf tho
@@qwerty_9922what album with a clown face??
LVL’s beat is just top tier. Big ups to Clams Casino for making such a legendary project
crazy insane nostalgia w that one
@@thrackssame and same.
As dumb as this sounds, there's been a couple songs in the past 10 years this song brought tears to my eyes. This album came out right before m wife and I got married and before se got pregnant we used to mob around in he car with this bumpin LOUD she'd be singing/rappin with me.
LVL one of the best songs ever made. Clams Casino is one of the greatest producers ever.
Something about it really is special, always puts you deep into a mood. Probably my favorite rocky song along with sandman
you should check out "A beginners guide to the universe" by foster the people. They use the same sample. Diff vibe but I almost like how they use it more
@@kreyekstrom4686 my exact 2 favourite rocky songs as well
@@kreyekstrom4686a perfect clams casino beat will do that to you he has made a lot of my favorite beats ever
shout out lil b
Early to mid 2010s hip hop was a special era. Gonna be hard to beat the massive wealth of talent that came up from that time who were dropping classics and still relevant today.
Late 2010s rap was better, 2018 gotta be one of the best years for rap music of all time

1Train is one of the most sleep on collabs in Rap history. Big Krit killed it.
Absolutely amazing track but I don't think it's very slept on. Definitely highly regarded by almost all hip hop heads!
Everyone featured on 1train is among my favorite rappers of all time, when I first heard this shit in 2013 I damn near fainted just reading who it featured lol
Yela verse goes so hard
Krit should have gotten more praise for that verse
krit did my favorite verse on my favorite asap album
this album was an essential part of high school for me. so glad y'all listened to this one

In backwards order. Then save the last for last
Hopefully they don't forget Out of this world

Testing is so underrated
@@Bigenormous_1i wholeheartedly agree. i don't like how everyone hates it because he went the experimental route. everyone is scared of change, and want music to sound like generic radio sound. that's literally why it's called "testing" because he was testing out new sound. it's my favorite album by him personally.
big agree, his run was legendary
F**kin Problems is such a nostalgic song. It was almost an announcement of the new heirs of hip hop . ASAP and Kendrick both opened for Drakes tour the year before, crazy to think about their journey. It’s so rare now to have 4 huge rappers on songs. Apart from some Kanye, tracks like this and Forever were the last big collaborations. It’s sad as it was so popular in West Coast rap and throughout hip hop in the 2000s.
LVL is one of the best produced rap songs oat imo
a$ap and clams casino is always gonna make ur ears orgasm
@@thqrfinn1820 truly a godly combo
PMW will forever be in rotation. one of the greatest hip hop tracks i've ever listened to. a fucking CLASSIC, this album is a classic.😮💨
This is the project that got me into Rocky. I remember them high school days like it was yesterday, you couldn't escape him at all.

the Rocky and Clams Casino duality is something that doesn’t get talked about enough anymore. genre defining music whenever these two have gotten together man
Pheonix is so fucking well put together, just incredible really what a masterpiece of an album
Discovering Rocky and Big Krit during this era was something special. Driving around to them during high school years was incredible
I will never forget my HS years driving around on the back roads smoking to Goldie. Never realized how I’d hold onto that memory so vividly 10 years later
I miss this ASAP Rocky. Loved this album, bought it digitally and physically and was obsessed with it. Possibly one of the best debut albums ever, full of absolute bangers!
A masterpiece…will forever be in my top 10 of all time! Every song is a anthem here for me
this album always has a sweet spot in my heart just due to the time period I was in life, truly one of those unmatched moments
Goldie puts me back in my old 2003 Honda Accord blowing the speakers out with the homies. Also this album has aged so well!

so happy you did this album! always love the vids and the energy is just so comforting, keep turning dem tables boys
One of the greatest rap albums from its time. Every once in awhile I go back and listen start to finish. ASAP is one of the goats and the nostalgia is real
I just love this record, I come back to it at least once a week
One of my favorite albums period. Rocky could be one of the most underrated rappers out there. Pops is unhinged in this reaction. It’s wonderful.
Facts! Rocky has real artistry! He is just not competitive or wants validation. The father was unhinged indeed lol he had me dying😂
Salvador Gonzalez - Where the Heart Lies
I remember buying this cd on a whim a little after getting my drivers license. That ride home was one of the best first listens of my life, classic album
Ahhh I miss this asap Rocky, his flow was unmatched no one was like him
Finally I’ve been waiting on this one. Hopefully soon enough the trilogy can be finished with live love a$ap. Also PMW gotta be one of my favorite beats of all time.
PMW IS SO TOUGH
One of my favorite albums of all time and by far my favorite rocky project. It’s insane how many great songs there are and how well this album flows
Salvador Gonzalez - Where the Heart Lies
This is one of my favorite records ever, so happy to see it here!
yall manage to do every album i look forward to 🙏🙏🙏
i cannot wait for the live.love reaction
Obviously the review is dope as always but the high light for me was the hilarious back and forth moments from both of y’all. I started watching y’all in Currents/Tama Impala and y’all have come so far. I was dying in so many points of the video. Great job fellas keep on doing ya thing!
One of my favorites of all time. Glad y’all love it
So nice hearing this album again. What a time. Can’t wait for live love. Gotta do TESTING TOO!! 🔥
To this day Rocky is one of my top artist, this era and sound will always be special to me
this album reminds me of middle school ❤ i haven’t heard some of these songs in years thank you for this !!! a classic in my book.
It’s a shame that suddenly doesn’t get the credit it deserves, easily one of his greatest songs period but also the fact that it’s the closer to this album and carries that weight perfectly… immaculate. Expertly written too, he was one of the first artists to see a overnight explosion in popularity so to hear his perspective of what that was like is so dope
that's crazy that's like my favorite track of this project.
Probably one of his top 3 tracks! Know this word for word!!!!
its biggest critique is that the second half is just outshines the first half. but i think the second half is so good because it carries the entire song if that makes sense? like it’s so good that you end up liking the first half too just so you get to listen to the second half
I love when he mentioned wolf, it reminded me about how much tyler meant to me when i was younger and all of the memories i had with tylers earlier work and i hope they do an episode on wolf soon

Time for Live. Love. ASAP.
Finally.
One of the staple albums of that 2010-2014 era of hip hop-from Texas to have him bring the slowed h town inspired shit into his beats, I was instantly addicted n was 23 at the time so fk yea good memories to this album
That clams and rocky duo is insane, clams produced beat and song discography is insane. Be somebody is a personal favorite with the two.
GOTTA do Live Love next! Best mixtape of all time

Words cant express how formative this album was for so many rap listeners in the mid-2010s, this might still be Rocky's best album
been waiting for this!!!
‘Suddenly’ is also one of my favorites. It’s is underrated, but the buildup is so worth it
I love this album so much!
His best album. Cheers.
I don't even think it's the best song on the album, but the energy on Wild for the night and how ASAP jumps on the beat at the start is unique.
this album holds a special place in my heart, specifically because it was my first introduction to Danny Brown, who is now my favorite rapper. the second I heard that "weed a different color like a hoodrat's bra and panties" line, I was hooked lol
I love QUARANTA so much! He will be in Vancouver in the spring and cannot wait to see him live.
@@kevinfromttt nice! Quaranta was one of my favorite albums of 2023, as well. I've seen Danny perform live a couple of times, he puts on a fantastic show!

Now you gotta do the mixtape!! In my opinion that is his best work so far
Love this album!
Y’all really really need to do a Big K.R.I.T. album soon. Dude is heavily underrated and I know your dad would really appreciate 4eva is a Mighty Long Time and its production.
