So much more interesting and full of possibilities than diatonic (is that the right term?). I have always dreamed of keyless music. Your explanation is super. Fascinating stuff.
Exactly - keyless music! It goes back to the 20th century classical composers, like Shostakovich, Stravinsky, and Schoenberg. The jazz developed in that direction too.
I'm an upright player, but i found this very neat...definitely a tough tune at tempo
A fun challenge, and luckily the chords sound great when played slowly too. Good luck with your playing :)
"Taking what you've learned already, and embracing that for the moment." That's a nice observation!
I'm glad you picked up on this - it's very important!
love it! I miss Wayne so much. I can tell you love his music!
Yes indeed!
Embracing what you can do! Great advice. I'm learning this tune. I'm not a professional so my bar is low. I enjoy your version so much!
Thanks and yes, definitely put these ideas into practice. Have fun!

I love how you break it down for us. Makes it more enjoyable.
Enjoyable for me too!
Thank you for sharing your approach on this wonderful and complex tune.
Hi Zack - it's such a great tune to play once we dig beneath the surface. Have fun :)
