He should retire by now, join the seniors or go to the modus super series. He's just been tarnishing his own career and living on the back that he was a former world champion. A championship he won 17 years ago.

I think he is getting used to the big stage and he was obviously nervous in the last Chizzy match there.
He needs some time, some big succes like a SF in a big tournament and then to get that feeling of belonging in the Top32 rather than being a constant qualifier etc.

@bryanbilton3030 I think Peter Wright just needs to get back to basics and once and for all stop changing the darts because he's definitely in a bad place at moment but there's no denying he's a world class player! I'm hoping gary anderson and Wright can get it right for world Cup.

Im a gary anderson fan and its gutting every time he pulls out last minute!! But on another matter Peter Wright is in really bad place at moment hes just so far away from where he was!! He needs to stop all this changing darts rubbish as its not helping him and its just my he needs to stop all the fancy dressing etc and just get bk to basics him as a person and darts included! But again its just my opinion.
I agree. Either that or retire because he barely wins any matches these days. How he is still ranked 11th is a mystery to me. On recent form he would be outside the top 50.

Barneys mentality is shit, so easily shook, either by himself missing an easy leg or someone else just putting him underpressure. I knew by his reaction and expression after losing that leg with the missed doubles he was going to struggle to win. Should probably give the game up at this point...

Euro Tour Order Of Merit I believe. Not sure if that's a 2 year thing like the regular Order Of Merit but he won't be top of that for much longer if he keeps going out of these events as early as this.

He peaked a few years back. It's strange to me how quickly players drop off after peaking. Which shows how great Taylor mvg players like that are for maintaining a good standard for many years
