Well it is over 50yrs old and probably well used throughout the years, and as he said it’s worth saving so good luck with the project and next it’ll look like NEW!!!👍
Now we’re talking. Who doesn’t love a classic rebuild 👍🏻
Exactly brother, all these lambos shooting flames and all, nice, but not relatable to 95% of people!A build ,now that's what is relatable!👊🦾🦾🦾
Best get those Ads in! But rindt what incredible guys, it does look good and let’s cheer for the solid bits! Cannot wait to see this car done as it’s one of my favourite cars you have ever bought
Well done MR E these are my favourite.
It’s going to be spectacular and the day you collect it will be like driving it off the showroom floor back in 68.
Love the wrist shot too.
This is a cool process to share and document. I'm a Porsche fan so I want to see the 912 brought have to life. And I know you'll do it properly. She'll be a beauty soon. I'm all for it.
❤️
Long journey on this one, but can't wait to see the final result!
A cool visit, always many fine Porsche sportscars to see there. Good thing you are going ahead with the 912 restoration.
Real favorite in your stable, next to the cabriolet.
Hope you can sort out many new partners to cover the costs. Can't wait for the first 912 drive with Ianthe and the dogs :)
Thank you TGE.
This is going to be total chaos..can’t wait to see the finished car…👍🏻
Have they given you a time schedule Tom
Trigger’s broom.
Normally TGE hams up the video with the title but actually on this rare occasion he’s undersold it 😂
So excited to see progress on this. Much more interesting than shiny new lambo revoltings.
Classics....the gift that keep on giving
Well done on saving another beauty!!! Good man🥃
Geeez you weren't kidding Tom, news was genuinely bad 😫😫😫
One small issue currently, not enough Crisps content 🤷♂️ smuggle him in somewhere 😁👍🏻
Made my day looking at a load of Porsches 👍
Wow Tom 😮 I’ve always said the same as Brian … old Porsches either been done, or need doing. My 79 targa at £25k looked a bargain… it’s devoured £35k and I didn’t need metalwork or engine rebuild 😱. RVD are making big waves in the Porsche scene…. Can’t wait to see 912 reborn… was a little sad at belgrave sq many moons ago….😊
My ‘68 912 is in a very similar state, although most body panels are good on mine… I had to replace the torsion tube though, that was major work…
Oooo grim ... but ... good to watch and look forward to seeing how it all turns out.
Thanks for sharing all the details.
You never know what you're going to get with a classic. About 30% will remain original - one of Trigger's brooms by the end. Great video again Tom - honest and funny
Going to look great when finished!
Can't wait to see the next episode !
Coming soon!
Apart from that, it's a mint 912 Porsche in great condition😢😊
A bit too much patina then! I hope you are able to provide regular updates on this restoration. 👍
Tom - sometimes you have to do things for the love it 👏
You are a brave man Tom, baring your soul to show us all your buying mistakes 😉
Next time take a magnet with you....(and probably an independent expert).
Expensive mistake, but all part of the learning process. Are the electrics all good....if not put a new wiring loom whilst it is all in bits.
It will look great when its done mate....just have to work even harder 👍
Sad news about the 912, but the guys at RVD are amazing - you'll finally end up with the car you always wanted. I don't think you'll ever make that mistake again (definitely a lesson learned for all of us watching, unfortunately you're paying the bill) 😉👍
375k can it get shipped to CA?
Nice one, Tom. One of my favourites. I remember when you first got it, you didn’t seem to be that interested in doing too much to it… oh how I am pleased you changed your mind. This is going to be an absolute minter 👍
Lots of eye candy in there. Yours is good be eye candy, soon, too!
The content I'm here for!
Hopefully lots of videos on
The 912 isn’t my thing, on the older stuff I’m 80’s and early 90’s. But it’s a sweet old girl who deserves some love. Good on you for giving a crap.
Let’s go!!! 💪💪💪
Gotta go 😂😂
Not a screed of carbon
What happened to the 80s targa? Only a few mins in so bare with 😅
It’s finished and in my garage! Been hibernating
ouch. money pit. but will be worth a few quid when done. will this be a forever car with the amount of work your having done to it? look forward to seeing the end result 👍
Hopefully it’ll be a forever car! If I can afford to keep it that long!
i much prefer the classic stuff you post more interesting to me than new cars. Would be interested to see what the boys do to the car to get the frame straight. not a lot on youtube from engaging creatures.
Get classic cars inspected prior to buying folks 😊
Better 😂
So the floor and the roof are good. That's something... 🤷
All 🎉the
Tom, what's the estimated cost of doing this?
Targa was £45k worth and that was waaaaaay less of a job!
@@TGE worth it mate - you’re saving a bit of history ❤
Ffs thats sound like deep pockets lad
Give us more of this content not that XM shite! 😂
Ummmmm
Please please please put a hot rodded flat 6 in it now….. you’ve gone this far, even a lighter 2.2S engine on throttle bodies?
Keeping it OEM!
Get classic cars inspected prior to buying folks 😊
You think that makes you sound clever, but all cars of this age are the same, unless restored. All inspections will say it needs metalwork. You don’t buy an original European car from the ‘60’s and expect different.
Tom it wasn’t a dig I own a classic which needs some welding despite living in a part of the world without much rain & no salt on the roads.
Great channel.
