Brilliant, just brilliant. You could probably even glue some paint stir sticks on the bottom of the 13-inch tile for arms. Depends on how thick the lazy susan mechanism is.
I ordered 2 spinning mechanisms from Amazon for $8. My glue was E6000 because I had some. It's a wood board on the bottom and foam board on top. I wish I had seen found you earlier because I would keep the foam board for another project and gone into the box of tiles from renovating the bathroom years ago. I'm now binging your channel!!!
Thank you... only engineering issue is I should have made the tile underneath smaller so that I can tuck the edges of my tinfoil under the top tile.. lol next time😀
Hi Cindy. Thanks for sharing your excellent idea for a spinner! I'm thinking of making one. Does it matter if both tiles are the same sizes like yours? Probably a rookie question, but how did you centre the top tile? ❤
Ahhh my long lost sista!.. it becomes a game for me..lol Treasure hunter.. I've made money off of roadside rescue things.. love finding little tables.. painting them and reselling.. we live in an incredibly wasteful world so its easy to find great things to repurpose and its fun!😀
How did you know that I needed a new spinner? I just discovered you this past week and I have been bingeing on your videos and trying some of your techniques. I ordered two Lazy Susan‘s from Amazon in different sizes. And neither one of them was a good spinner. They were loud and did not spend more than one or two rotations. So now I have to return them and I was wondering what I was going to do for a spinner. Thank you!
Hey Lisa.. used this spinner for a very long time. I now have one from Amazon and I have made a few changes to it as well. I find that they are not big enough and are to light... new spinner has a 24 x 24 slab of marble tile on top.. I like the extra weight, easier to clean and more working space. You can find all sorts of creative ways to come up with a suitable system without spending the thick coin.. 😉. Cindy
@@acrylicpouringwithcindyvan9173 can you possibly direct me to some good spinners? Or good modifications that I can do and some of the not so good spinners? I have ordered at this point for spinners from Amazon and when I get them home they’re great “Lazy Susan‘s“ so if I was reaching for the salt on the other side they would be fine but as for spinning out of bloom… Not so much. I’m tired of having to travel 45 minutes to Staples so I can send them back. LOL should I just go to Home Depot and get the spinner attachment and use the two tile idea? What do you have a better suggestion?
I have a wondetful cake spinner for you. Where can I send it to? It would make me happy as a single mom who has always been on my own. Please let me send this to you.
Thank you for such a generous offer. Dont you like my problem solving project?..lol 😎 I actually have a couple others but tiles work quite well because they are considerably heavier. Your offer is so generous, thank you. I would be super happy to see you gift it to someone who is in need or is struggling to get to get one of their own . As you and I both know there are those less fortunate amd facing many struggles in this new world we are living in. Once again how kind! Cindy
He OBVIOUSLY didn’t know you. I just found you today, but good riddance to him! Thank you for that, I had no idea it was that simple! I look forward to learning from you!
Thank you for this video...you are a genius...best spinner ever...made it today for about 5 dollars
Yeah..nice job Mary. I'm glad my thrifty spinner works for you too. Cindy
I love this idea! Thank you. I too am always looking for cost effective ways to do things. Will be trying this.
