This looks amazing, have not done either but if I were to pick one I’d say hot air balloon because it seems so peaceful and quiet, I imagine it would be easier to find a meditative state before the jump.
@@dohardthings it was wonderful! It was so crazy how quiet it was. The quiet was such a nice change versus the loudness of the airplanes. Plus being able to watch the sun come up was a great added bonus also. :)
This was hella sick ! I’ve jumped only once in Dubai from 13000ft with instructor but this has inspired me to jump solo … going to look into this, im from New York
I want to jump in Dubai for sure. I’m so glad to hear it! That is the reason why I made this channel. I want to show people how awesome skydiving is and inspire people to go try it / get their license. Let me know if you need help with anything or have any questions. 😊🪂
I've done 1 tandem and fell in love. This coming winter I'll probably be traveling to Arizona to go through aff. Someday I'd love to jump from a balloon but even watching you guys jump scared me lol. I bet it's a completely different feeling versus jumping from a moving airplane
Yes it is! You don’t get that falling feeling when you jump out of a plane. But with balloons and helicopters you do. Helicopters are so far my favorite to jump out of. Go check out that video on my channel. Good luck with your AFF! 😊🪂
i’m mad scared of heights and honestly watching this from the beginning to the end wasn’t so bad . i felt like i was the one falling backwards.. i think falling backwards would be your best bet rather than looking down the whole time
We actually have a lot of skydivers that are afraid of heights. So it must not be so bad for them. 🙂 It’s awesome and I encourage everyone to try it at least once. I was the one who fell backwards and I did that so that I could get that shot of my friend jumping out and the balloon. 🙂🪂❤️
I’m assuming the helmets are more for the wind than to protect your heads…. Because if not I have some bad news for you guys…. Helmets prolly won’t do much to protect your noggins if the chute don’t work. Lol
Yea, for the wind and to hold our cameras. 😂 They do have impact rated helmets but they are not require when skydiving. The helmet I’m wearing isn’t an impact rated one. You also don’t even have to wear a helmet if you don’t want to. We are well aware that it probably won’t matter if both of our parachutes malfunction.
It's for mid-air collision but also when you're under canopy if a non-lethal accident can happen (like mistakes in your landing procedure), it can help the accident to stay a non-lethal one. Also people haven fallen without opening their canopu and got away with "only" legs disabily but I guess that they were at least wearing a helmet.
There’s usually always a little bit of fear. That never really goes away. I usually go over my emergency procedures/what I plan on doing for the jump. With this jump specifically I was nervous climbing up onto the basket of the balloon and I was focused on falling out and getting a good shot and then turning to track towards the Drop zone so that we could get back. When we were ready I just fell back and I was calm again and the fear went away for the most part because it’s familiar. That feeling of falling through the air is just familiar to skydivers and it’s almost comforting/relaxing I guess you could say. Then you go to open your parachute and I guess there is at times a little bit of anxiety at that point but once you see it opening up nicely that goes away also and then you are just left with this amazing, adventurous feeling. Really nothing compares and it’s hard to explain without experiencing it for yourself. Which I highly recommend! :)
@@ChuteHer I definitely plan to experience this daring epic journey to excitement, adrenaline, awe, & energy of pure bliss! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and encouragement.
So I have 6 jumps from static line and I'm going again tomorrow to MAYBE get my first manual pull, but it just seems like such an unreachable thing for me.. I've been considering AFF since I think I'll feel safer with two people holding onto me in the air instead of jumping alone.
I would say if you already got that far with static line to stick with it unless you feel totally uncomfortable with it. You can do it though! Just practice reaching for your handle on the ground. Remember your pull priorities. Pull! You can do it! Let me know how it goes. :)
Sadly, it didn’t end well for the pilot (Cornelius) and 4 ride along passengers in the Droplyne skydive Balloon after 8 skydivers exited the Balloon at 10,000 ft Sunday January 14 2024. Horrible, couldn’t imagine what they experienced.
that's a bit sketchy..... " you guys are a two way? yes!" but jumping alone not looking at ny time where her friend is. "ok guys look down just to see if there isnt any canopy underneath you" yes! lets gooo.!!! wtf
Well I did look down right when he said that. Also he more meant that when we are falling to just make sure we didn’t come up on a canopy. Not sketchy! Skydivers are very well aware while we are in the sky. We also all knew what we all would be pulling at. Plus the fact that me and the person I jumped with tracked all the way back to the DZ. We were well away from all the other canopies.
What would you rather jump out of hot a air balloon or helicopter and if you have done both which was your favorite?

Totally badass :) I can't wait for my first hot air ballon jump!! Thanks for sharing.
My one and only balloon jump was in Eloy, and is in my top 3 most memorable. Great vid
Thank you! Yes, it was definitely a great experience.
this was Droplyne Balloons, RIP Cornelius!!! Cool vid also!!
A terrible accident. 😭Thank you.
Awesome voice effects, and nice jumps!

@@ChuteHer Can i ask how many jumps did you do until you got to this kind of skydive jump? Thank you😀

You can do balloon jumps once you get your B license which you can get when you get to 50 jumps.

Yea, it’s unfortunate what happened there.
How is it in Thailand?

Skydiving helmets also have pockets for audible altimeters.
What was the height? Total diving time around 4:30 secs 40 seconds of free fall 👍
