www.paypal.me/... - A simple and direct way to ‘tip’ to help support the time and energy we put into making our videos. Thanks so much!
We take a walking tour through our 3 year old permaculture home garden and see how much food can be grown in what was only .1 acres of lawn just a few years ago. Still a ton to learn, lots of gotchas and challenges, but pretty massive production in a short amount of time. We hope people get excited to do it for themselves!
Edible Acres is a full service permaculture nursery located in the Finger Lakes area of NY state. We grow all layers of perennial food forest systems and provide super hardy, edible, useful, medicinal, easy to propagate, perennial plants for sale locally or for shipping around the country...
www.edibleacres... - Your order supports the research and learning we share here on youtube.
We also offer consultation and support in our region or remotely.

    Happy growing!

I just got hooked on your videos. Once you spoke of your wet soil conditions I knew I would be a fan for good! I live on ten-acre wetlands and I grow our food crops mostly in pots because of our soil conditions but now I am going to start making raised beds for some of my gardenings and see how it goes. I also have a lot of shade so I am going to have to make mini gardens here and there as I can find pockets of sun. Thank you for your videos and please keep them coming as they are so valuable to all of us.

This was a really wonderful video. Me and my girlfriend have started a native flower herb and vegetable garden and your simplistic approaches have really kickstarted our success. Last year we put in some fruits like blue sausage fruit blueberries and new fruit trees. Me and my friend are transforming an abandoned urban lot into an allotment of production. I have a few small ponds using the liners and having just put down 25 cubic yards of wood chips back there I'm layering the pond gunk right on top. Started using cardboard and grass clippings as mulch in between the rows and the wilder sections but hoping to dig in a few smaller ponds to serve as a frog habitat and compost harvesting. There's so much beauty to see and build even in the darkest of times. Thanks again for all of your simple teachings and inspiration.

You have a really nice voice for narrating videos. And it was interesting to hear the challeges of farming where the ground is too wet because in most videos the farmers challenge is the ground is too dry. Thanks for the upload.

Add Wood chips to absorb the water. Humus for nutrients and you are golden...if you need to slope the ground a little and be strategic where you plant for the best water usage.

THANK YOU!! This is amazingly inspirational. I am moving next month to our Permaculture Homestead in northern Minnesota where we will be starting our garden in the spring. I have been feeling trepidation in how tough this will be as my husband and I are novice gardeners but your video gives me hope that we will be successful. We'll be about 2.5 degrees higher in latitude but I am excited to see exactly how much we can grow. Our friends in Bloomington, Indiana had a fig tree by using a microclimate on the corner of their home and as my husband's PDC was done with them, we we've got some good training. I plan to watch lots of videos this winter in preparation as well. Thanks for this lovely, concise, and inspiring example. I'm sharing with the hubby now! :)

Another great video. Thanks so much. My hubby & I (our kids too) bought 16 acres this year. We want to grow most our food, start a farm & business.
We have physical disabilities & that drew us to work smart not hard down the permaculture road. We aren't getting younger. Lol. So plan for our "retirement" so to speak & create a beautiful oasis to live in.
My daughter convinced me to start a you tube channel to show that even people with disabilities can do it & encourage others who don't think they can homestead. I'm excited for our future!!
Again thanks for the videos they are a rich source of information & you have such a humble spirit & i can hear the love in your voice for your plants. It's quite special.

Love this! I am currently awaiting the arrival of 11 new fruit trees! I am still in the designing stage of my permaculture garden. Designing, meaning developing it, a little at a time. I have physical limitations so things take a little longer. I currently have 6 Papaya trees, 3 lemon trees, two red bananas, two Mulberry trees, two grapefruits, a Blood Orange, a Mandarin Orange, 5 baby Kumquat trees, two Apple trees + one stock apple tree. I'm also starting to get into perennial vegetables and ones that readily reseed. I have Asparagus, Society Garlic, Oregano (grows great!), Thyme, wild Chives, tons of Turmeric, Ginger root, and Carrots, Leeks, and Cilantro that I let reseed where they want.
