I have experience of living in Mumbai and Delhi and no doubt Mumbai is 10 times better than Delhi. 1. In Delhi Auto wala will rarely use meter and it depends on his wish weather he want to go at place you have asked. In Mumbai everyone use meter and will never say no to you. 2. People in Delhi are always ready to argue type plus never like to answer strangers where as people in Mumbai are "The Most Awesome" 3. In Delhi if you stand near Metro door people will push you out. In Mumbai if you stand near local door people will take you in (irrespective of weather you want to go or not). 4. People in Mumbai believe in making money by doing hard work where as in Delhi there are 100 of them ready to con. 5. Delhi people like to make show off of everything where as in Mumbai you will find everyone in local. 6. Women safety is better in Mumbai. ................ and so on. Thus no doubt Mumbai is better than Delhi.

I love both cities !!! Each city has its unique energy. Delhi is a bit more traditional, with great food, markets, monuments, and the political scene. Delhi has an amazing history. Mumbai, on the other hand, is like Delhi's cool brother. Its more western, more hip, and much safer. People have a greater sense of independence there than in Delhi. But I might feel that way because I live with my family in Delhi, so obviously there are more restrictions. Anyway, both cities are great :) :)
Born and brought up in Delhi but have visited Mumbai too. I will always choose Delhi. For many reasons first of course food, second Metro, third Delhi is best for those who work in educational sector. Ever saw Mumbai's rent vs Delhi's rent? Your choice will be much more obvious.

The Marathas, inspired by Shivaji, fought Aurengzeb and saved India from following the fate of Persia. The proof of Maratha victory lies in the fact that Aurengzeb lies buried, not in Lahore /Delhi or Agra , but near Aurangabad in good old Maharashtra... Indian history before Shivaji's advent reads like a chronicle of military disasters. Shivaji changed all that. He used Guerilla Tactics very effectively. Shivaji, as a great warrior & visionary laid a strong and solid foundation that after his death in 1680, there was a series of battles fought between Marathas and Mughals from 1681 to 1707 known as 'War of 27 years' and ended with the death of Aurangzeb in 1707. I like Delhi as well as Bombay . Delhi has a great transport system . The local bus, the Delhi metro and occasionally the e-rickshaws provide excellent service. The petrol is cheaper in Delhi but the weather can get pretty nasty at times. Delhi is cleaner but Bombay is safer. Bomabay has marine drive while Delhi has India gate and rashtrapati Bhavan. I feel both places are awesome in their own way and should not be compared.
I am staying in mumbai. i have also stayed in delhi. Difference i found is Delhi is best for food, transport, hot girls. Mumbai fooding is limited to vada pau. Transpotation sucks, and There are yes there are some hot girls. Mumbai has a marine drive, entire bollywood, safe compared to delhi...
Jigyasa Sahni if you compare it with delhi it really sucks. Roads in delhi are more wider, they have AC metro linked all over. Mumbai local may be a life line for mumbai but it's horrible and not safe at all..Traffic is horrible compared to delhi.. I have done my reality check...i think you should visit delhi once..

I'm from Meghalaya and Mumbai makes me want to live there forever if possible but Delhi advantages are only with the cost of living but people to people relations personally aren't great. Both have the pros and cons. Among India's metro cities my favourites are Kolkata and Chennai.
I've been to Delhi and the only thing I can say is that I'm never visiting Delhi again. Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore are much better compared to Delhi
Delhi is one place whr you will find variety of food with good taste. I have been to Bombay thrice but the kind of food, humidity & the smell of sea food at CST suck deep. U will not be able to find Pav Bhajii like delhi. GOLGAPPE like DELHI. I am a foodie and i hated Bombay on that note.

I have experience of living in Mumbai and Delhi and no doubt Mumbai is 10 times better than Delhi.
1. In Delhi Auto wala will rarely use meter and it depends on his wish weather he want to go at place you have asked. In Mumbai everyone use meter and will never say no to you.
2. People in Delhi are always ready to argue type plus never like to answer strangers where as people in Mumbai are "The Most Awesome"
3. In Delhi if you stand near Metro door people will push you out. In Mumbai if you stand near local door people will take you in (irrespective of weather you want to go or not).
4. People in Mumbai believe in making money by doing hard work where as in Delhi there are 100 of them ready to con.
5. Delhi people like to make show off of everything where as in Mumbai you will find everyone in local.
6. Women safety is better in Mumbai.

I love both cities !!! Each city has its unique energy. Delhi is a bit more traditional, with great food, markets, monuments, and the political scene. Delhi has an amazing history. Mumbai, on the other hand, is like Delhi's cool brother. Its more western, more hip, and much safer. People have a greater sense of independence there than in Delhi. But I might feel that way because I live with my family in Delhi, so obviously there are more restrictions. Anyway, both cities are great :) :)

Indian history before Shivaji's advent reads like a chronicle of military disasters. Shivaji changed all that. He used Guerilla Tactics very effectively. Shivaji, as a great warrior & visionary laid a strong and solid foundation that after his death in 1680, there was a series of battles fought between Marathas and Mughals from 1681 to 1707 known as 'War of 27 years' and ended with the death of Aurangzeb in 1707. The Marathas eventually emerged victorious and consolidated their lost territories. This was further expanded by the Peshwas. The Maratha empire reached its peak in summer of 1758 with the conquest of Attock, which is banks of Indus river in Pakistan today. Its eastern frontier was today’s Orissa, being ruled by Raghuji Bhosale of Nagpur. Maratha armies had also reached upto Murshidabad, but then retreated and settled for tribute from Bengal and control of Orissa. To the south, in 1758, territories upto the fort of Gurramkonda in Kadappah district were held. Also, Tanjore (Thanjavur) was under Marathas, but that was a different line. (By the way, just for your G.K, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is also considered as the 'Father of the Indian Navy'.)

I like Delhi as well as Bombay . Delhi has a great transport system . The local bus, the Delhi metro and occasionally the e-rickshaws provide excellent service. The petrol is cheaper in Delhi but the weather can get pretty nasty at times. Delhi is cleaner but Bombay is safer. Bomabay has marine drive while Delhi has India gate and rashtrapati Bhavan. I feel both places are awesome in their own way and should not be compared.

I'm from Meghalaya and Mumbai makes me want to live there forever if possible but Delhi advantages are only with the cost of living but people to people relations personally aren't great. Both have the pros and cons. Among India's metro cities my favourites are Kolkata and Chennai.

I should say Delhi nowhere comes near Mumbai.. Delhi people are least helpful and the weather sucks.. I THINK, delhi people somehow can't manage the sensibilities of people around them and yet be living free..
